Although everything looked delicious and at a good price, it is no coincidence that the 4 couples who ordered the super sampler all got diarrhea the same night. What a bad night I had :( I don't know how they cooked the meat or what they did but it made us all sick ?UPDATE: ANSWERINGWe were a group of 10 people not related, it was an after church lunch yesterday around 1:30pm and 7 of us are stomach sick with really bad crampings and diarrhea. FYI us who got sick we all try the super sampler.

The food is always good and the service is friendly. The ribs are tender and juicy. Their red hot sauce is not sweet. It is spicy, but it will not take the top of your head off or make your nose run.

Food was mediocre. We believe it sat a while because other people got their food before us even though they arrived after. Service was poor. He was nice, no personality and looked liked he may have been working on cars prior to showing up to work.Prices were high. I don't mind paying if the food and service are really good. This definitely is not the case. Not worth a return visit.

After doing the bounce house event in Kissimmee, I was looking for a good restaurant in that area. I heard great reviews about Big Johns, and it was only a 10 minute drive from the event, so decided to give it a shot. I went indoors, and it took a minute or two to get acknowledged. However, I was seated immediately at a requested indoor table. My server asked for drinks, and mentioned soft drinks and beers when I asked what they had. However, after asking about cocktails, he handed me a separate menu for those. He mentioned that the rum punch was only 5 dollars. When it came, I found out why. It came in a plastic cup and looked like it had artificial coloring. I didn't taste any alcohol if there was any. In fact my buzz engine kept on cranking, but wouldn't fire up due to the lack of any fuel. The juices were fine, but nothing exciting. I first ordered ribs, but later was told it was sold out. Thus, settled for the brisket and pulled pork instead (20 dollars). It came pretty quickly, so I was pretty sure it was prepared in advance. The brisket was tender and had a nice smoke flavor. The pulled pork was however a bit dry. I didn't see any BBQ sauce or napkins, so I had to request them. I did like the kick from the mustard sauce, but then I found that there was an unlabeled sauce. Turned out it was just ketchup. I was given a choice of 2 complementary sides. The collared greens tasted exactly what my server told me.. like a cross between green beans and spinach. It was nothing special. The potato salad was a bit better. My main server was friendly and helpful, but his helper was nonchalant. When I was seated, I didn't have the BBQ sauce and napkins. After requesting them, it was just plopped on my table from the helper. Plus, the helper seemed to be quick to have me pay my bill immediately after giving my doggie bag. Only after my main server asked if I wanted dessert, but it was too late as I already paid my bill. I made the mistake of sitting indoors. It felt dark and bland, like a boring bar atmosphere. It was pretty quiet. The outdoors side had the fun, where a singer impersonating Elvis was singing his (and other rock musicians) sons. So I felt like a hound dog not able to do the Jailhouse rock. There was no piped indoor music and I think most were hoping to hear the live music inside, but it was muffled. There was ample seating both indoors and outdoors, and a decent bar near the entrance. If anyone wanted to take a small gamble, there was a one arm bandit.... Er claw machine. I should have braved the cooler weather and sat outside to enjoy the live music. Honestly, I felt that Big John's was a bit overrated and needs to have a more fun indoor atmosphere and better service from all to be a rockstar. They also should make sure that they have enough items as they ran out on quite a few. I think most of the rave reviews were from guests enjoying the live music as the singer was very good. I think I eat outdoors and enjoy the music if I visit here again. At least the food was fine, so probably will give them another chance in the future.

Rave! Went for brunch yesterday, they appeared to be short-handed, yet the guy waiting on us did an amazing job. Stayed on top of things, kept us informed, never once seemed frustrated or impatient. The food was perfect, tasty and hot, and he kept our drinks topped off. Kudos!Parking: There is street front parking right in front plus two nearby free lots.
This was a great bbq experience, I sometimes make excuses for Florida BBQ since I've had the opportunity to eat lots of bbq across the country but no need to use any disclaimers here this place is legit. We pulled in here late afternoon on a Saturday and we hit it right before the locals started arriving so no wait and speedy service from the kitchen - of course everyone has their favorites but I gotta say it was all delicious and the service was outstanding Pork Ribs - fall off the bone tender, nice bark and smoky sweet these are a must have for the rib lovers. Andouille Sausage - served sliced and lightly sauced - great example of a lean quality smoked sausage. Fried Okra - perfectly fried, served hot and so delicious with ranch dressing. Bbq Beans - smoky and sweet loved the beans Okay those were my favorites but by no mean did anything here disappoint. Brisket - lean maybe a little leaner than I like but I didn't ask for fatty so the kitchen did a nice job, I mixed a little of the hot and sweet sauce for dipping. Green Beans - loved them tender and still firm Coleslaw - finely shredded mayo based great ratio loved it Texas Toast - grilled perfect as it should be. I was so happy with the entire experience so glad we found this place what a gem for the locals - I'd definitely do this again when in the area...

Stopped in today because I was in the area. Food and atmosphere was great as in the past. Missed the breakfast window but the Brisket Philly was fantastic
