“Shrimp was plump, lightly breaded, and not overly cooked. Perfect for dipping sauce. Green beans had just the right amount of butter and seasoning. Collared greens were melt in your mouth tender with lots of flavor. Hush puppies were breaded and cooked evenly. Not burnt and dripping of oil. Plus, a little sprig of parsley to freshen the breath/pallet afterward. Excellent ?. Definitely recommend.“

“Was working in Lake City and looking for local food. Wow!! Did I ever find it!!! This place is conveniently located, super clean and the offerings are magnificent!! The 2 ladies working the front are patient and explains the food options with grace and a smile. I had a shrimp, crab, potato, corn and an egg combo with their awesome butter and seasoning for dinner. It was delicious!! So much so, I waited until they opened the next day to get more (well a lot more) to take home and share with my family. If, and when, I have to go toward or near Lake City, I would certainly go again. It is worth the trip!“
“Do yourself a favor and get the low country boil. We are traveling and the hotel suggested this place. If they had not, I don't think I would have stopped. It's in a run-down strip mall, but went in anyway, and boy am I glad we did! Excellent service and the food was phenomenal!! Very fast service as well!!“
“We were looking for a new place to try and was not sure what to expect. We heard they had a new chef and are working on many changes.We were greeted by Johnny our server who is also the tennis pro and great guy. He juggled our table and a Christmas party with ease making us feel at home.The most surprising was the food. We had bourbon chick and shrimp and grits. We recently moved from Durham NC a foodie city and these meals were on par with anything we’ve had up there. It was wonderful.I can’t wait to see what changes they make to the building and hope the community supports this restaurant.It’s open to the public and reasonable priced. I think it’s less expensive and tastier then The Great Outdoors in High Springs.“

“Great time!We’ve eaten at a number of Red Lobsters in Florida from Miami to Orlando to G’ville, but our two visits to the Lake City store stand out for the great service.Our guy tonight was Mark, but we got to see his teammates in action as well. The level of attentiveness, friendliness and even humor was wonderful. Where did they find servers of that caliber in Lake City?!We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it looked like everyone else did too.“
“Couple of times had to wait at window for about 20 minutes or more while he was helping people, it seemed, inside. I didn't have a large order, fish, shrimp, coleslaw and ff's. The car ahead of was also waiting for quite some time. Love the food but really wasn't that happy waiting. Service has always been great before. Maybe things were off those two times and couldn't be avoided.“
