I love Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant. I go from South Tampa to Lakeland -- that's how much I love going here. I usually go for lunch (a little late, but they still let me order from the lunch menu). Everything I've tried has been delish! But I can't praise the guacamole enough. They will prepare it right at your table (I guess if they're not too busy). Unless you want that to be your whole meal (and it could be) make sure there's at least three of you at the table to share it. Just the three dips they offer with chips before you order, are so different, interesting and delish. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, empanadas, Yum! Oh my! And the fajitas! ...the aroma! Ooh so delicious.

The food was great. We were sat down without silverware which wasn't an issue until our food came and our server brought us plastic silverware. We were confused and asked for the silverware everyone else was using. She first told us the plastic was all they had, so initially I figured she was waiting for more from the back because the place was packed. But then she brought us the silverware we actually asked for. That was the only downer of the night. Other than that food was delicious
My group of friends and I always enjoy coming here after the movies.At our more recent visit I got this new chicken, beans and rice bowl It was fabulous. My favorite thing to get here though is the fajitas. Those are always very good.One of my friends gets the pork medallions and another of my friends loves the enchiladas. All the food is good.One member of my group has is gluten and dairy-free and staff is generally willing to accommodate this.Staff is generally always friendly and efficient.There is a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

The food is excellent here. The guacamole is realty good and the 3 types of salsa are very tasty. We had the nachos and chicken tacos and the nachos are a cheery persons
Super place, very dog friendly. Great outdoor space for dogs where they give them water. Food was great, margarita’s even better. Definitely my go to spot to have a nice meal with my dogs.
Super nice place to get some Tex Mex food. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and our server (Yancy) did a great job. I had the fajita tacos with chicken and my wife had the enchilada combo, and we both had the frozen house margaritas The food was good, not superior by any means, and my tortillas seemed a bit stale. My wife really enjoyed the enchilada combo. Overall a good experience!
