My husband and I stopped in for the first time yesterday and everything about this place is just amazing. The waitress was kind enough to explain the history of the Tudor house and the location change and prior owner, which just goes to show you that even the staff appreciate the place they work! All of the staff that served us were so nice and attentive. This place has outside seating on a patio, additional seating on the side that has lawn games, and a beautiful indoor seating space that has such a cool vibe. After looking at some pictures online I knew I had to get the fish and chips! I was not disappointed! But even more surprising was the garlic fries, as they were some of the best fries I've ever had! There were so many things on the menu that my husband and I wanted to try so we will definitely be back. Drinks were great too, as they had a wide variety of cocktails, beer, and even cider and wine. If ever I were to own a restaurant, I would want it to be just like this place!Drinks were Espresso Martini, Candy Bar Gunner's Daughter, and the food was THE Burger and Fish and Chips both with Garlic Fries.The price point of $30-50/person was only because we had 5-6 drinks total, plus our food! Not a bad price

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this quirky bar - great food and very reasonable drinks, which we enjoyed in the old converted dining room / parlor. Excellent atmosphere, and the staff was wonderfully friendly. Should I find myself in Lakeland again, Cob & Pen will be my first destination.

Cob and Pen is a unique dining experience with excellent food. I've dined at Cob and Pen for larger group meetings as well as intimate settings when family is visiting, and there's never a difference in the level of service or quality of food. This is a great place to bring visitors, have a date night, or meet to have a drink from their expansive menu. Whether it's brunch, happy our, or a late night drink, Cob and Pen is a wonderful establishment. Just keep in mind the gravel lot behind the building is their parking!
