“Thanks to our friends suggesting this place for a unique dining experience we decided to find and locate the Bayou Kitchen & Lounge and were pleasantly surprised. From the decor to the food, you felt like you were transported to a New Orleans restaurant in the French Quarter. We were greeted by our friendly server Eddie who offered us a drink to get started. They had a couple drink specials and a few New Orlean type local beers. We decided to have the Blackened Catfish which was seasoned to perfection. My wife asked if the Gumbo had okra in it and Eddie let us know that it didn't. She asked if she could sample the Gumbo and he was happy to oblige. We also chose the Mac and Cheese and I decided on the Fried Rice with Shrimp and Lobster. Everything we ordered was great and seasoned well, I must admit there was plenty of shrimp in the Fried Rice, but I was hard pressed to find much lobster in my dish. Our server Eddie let us know that he was the nephew of the Chef and invited us to come back on Wednesday when they would be having "Wine and Whiskey Wednesday. He let us know that they will be having a live DJ and a very Party Like Atmosphere. Oh one last thing, the Beignets were Fantastic. Like we were at Cafe Du Monde!!!!”
“Highly recommend. The Pizza had the best crust. The beers were amazing too. We each had a four flight tasting, and it was hard to pick a favorite, but the sours and pumpkin pie spice cider won the day. Thanks Steven for the hospitality. BTW, Dog friendly establishment, so bring your fur baby's for the pizza bones.”
“As part of our ongoing "90's Date Night" series, the Longwood location of Melting Pot continues to be one of the best! Special mention - Alex took great care of us and was awesome to have.”
“Yo the best pizza you've ever had. Truly real New York style pizza. Not the cheapest you'll find but worth the price. Very nice people in here. No indoor eating because it's tiny up in here, but take it to go! It's worth it! 5 stars! Boom.”
“This place has an amazing atmosphere. And my server Booke was amazing. Even though the place was packed she took the time to check on me and make sure my experience was great. That alone would make me leave a 5 star review. My only issue was the food. I'm super keen on oysters and for an oyster bar it's not that great. First there is only one option choice and second these oysters are frankly not fresh nor shucked all the way. I would consider them run of mill bar food. I did have the gator bites as well and they were good. If your out wanting a great fun place with family then come here but if your looking for oysters only... not the place.”
“I went 6 or 7x before going to Japan to learn how to eat with chopsticks. And good thing I did cause I needed that skill set.Anyway, the staff was helpful and taught me well.I am grateful!”
“This restaurant provides an incredible experience every time. Gina is so kind, full of life, and ready to serve. The food is always outstanding - there isn't anything on the menu I don't like - and the chef always pays a visit to make sure everything was tasting good. I wasn't initially a fan of Korean food, but after coming here the first time, I've visited at least once a month ever since! Can't say enough positive things about this place. Be sure to give it a try!”
“Let me start by saying we frequent this location often although the one on Lake Under Hill is closer. My husband and I are seated and he leaves for the restroom, but gives me his order and asked for me to order for him. Our waitress Alyssa arrives and I ordered the Fontina Pork Tenderloin (MEDIUM WELL) Wood-grilled ( but what he actually said he wanted was a bone in pork chop) with two sides asparagus and garlic herb potatoes for him and Steak (MEDIUM WELL) & Crab Cake with asparagus and Jasmin rice. When our food came my husband looked at it said that's not what he wanted, he wanted the bone in pork chop (MEDIUM WELL). Alyssa (very nice waitress) went to get the manager (Josh) he was extremely apologetic and was willing to take the food back and have the bone in pork chop made, my husband refused and ate his meal anyway, however the tenderloin wasn't MEDIUM WELL it was WELL DONE. My steak was WELL DONE and dry I didn't eat it I just ate the crab cake and the sides. I apologized to the waitress for the miscommunication apparently I ordered the wrong thing, and assured her that it was my fault because when I made the order I thought I was ordering the pork chop. At this time another manager (Matt) who we've seen several times before came to our table because he said he over heard the conversation in the back and he apologized as well, comped the meal, gave us two $25.00 gift cards and they made my husband the order we originally wanted. Matt, Josh and Alyssa went above and beyond to provide great customer service, I got emotional because although it was an honest mistake on my part they made the wrong, right, which they didn't have to do. I would have gladly paid for the meals as they prepared what I ordered. It's very rare in 2024 we could go anywhere and receive good customer service. Thank you Matt, Josh and Alyssa.”
“This mother daughter team have been making cakes for my family celebrations for years. Their cakes are not only beautiful and so creatively done they taste delicious.Their cakes are always the hit of my parties! Thanks Ms. Martha and Ms. Julie❤️Lisa”
“Tony was our chef and he did an amazing job entertaining us! Our kids loved him! Thang and Houston were outstanding as well. Houston's smile lit up the room!”
“We love this restaurant, traditional wings are the best. The atmosphere is really enjoyable, tv's everywhere, me and my family eat here at least one's a week.”
“Family place and fun for our kids once a month . Always have adoption for greyhounds in the building. Video games , cheese fries ,nachos , & cheap beer while the wife & I bet a few races . They have a sit down dining restaraunt that has good food as well if you don't want to sit in bleachers or sit outside. Plenty of parking . Admission is cheap.”
“Don’t shy away from this hole in the wall family business because of mixed reviews, you can’t satisfy those who can’t be satisfied. I am one of those people who cannot be satisfied half the time, but open the doors and give it a try!I pulled up to the location with question marks all over the air as my spouse wanted to try this spot for sushi but the looks on the outside wasn’t screaming “fine establishment”. Contemplated going in but figured not to judge a book by its cover and if we didn’t like it, to treat it as a learning lesson.Need less to say I’m here with a good review for a good reason. We started with soups (egg drop and wonton) , probably the best egg drop soup I’ve ever had. The portion was delicate but worth the price. We picked an assortment of 4 different sushi rolls including the house specialty “adreanne” which turned out to be my favorite with a wonderful blend of savory, sweet, and a little salty from the soy sauce. Overall spent $55 + $15 tip and was well worth for a quick but delicious sushi lunch.I will definitely be going back to try out the loveboat for two which sadly we didn’t get to see. 9/10 would recommend, atmosphere is warming but could use a touch more of Japanese culture.”
“If you are looking for the best olives and pickles, this is your spot. We visit when they are in Winter Garden Farmers Market or at their location in Longwood. To place an order in Longwood, send a Facebook message or call. For olives, I highly recommend the garlic olives. They have incredible flavors. My wife is not a fan of when I eat them (garlic breath), but, she is accepting. The pickles are fresh and crunchy. I always order mixed baby garlic and sours. The owners provide the best customer service and alway go above and beyond. Looking forward to our next visit to replenish our pickles and olives.”
“The old man is a grump lol but he's good at remembering you and what you like, which is great service in my book because you build a relationship that way. Plus, his current employee Vicky is really nice and balances him out. I am picky with food but love the meatloaf, fried pork loin (white gravy is the best), quesadillas, and potato day (Thursday) is the best. I haven't been going lately to save money but won't miss potato day!Vegetarian options: Potato day and when he serves quesadillas, you can ask it without chicken. Plus he sells white rice and black beans, mac and cheese, soup”
“I visited the restaurant on 12/3/24, and I saw the difference in the presentation of the dish, and the truth is it was uncomfortable for me; The food came on a cutting board and a green banana leaf, very fancy but the food is watered, the banana leaf moves and when the meat is cut the leaf is also cut?but the food??the attention? ?and reasonable prices.”
“Extreme busy Saturday night. We had requested a table in Main dining and we got to eat in a different part of the restaurant, right behind the bar called “La Terrazzo “. Not a disappointment. Our server was excellent in everything, timing was perfect. Prince Edward Island mussels and their buratta was to die for. Sauce of the buratta was the best thing I ever tasted!!! After we asked for 2 best dishes in the menu, we decided to go for short ribs and filetmignion for our main course. Oh boy!!!! CIBO PERFETTO!!!!Deliciousso!!!! We were surprised with a Italian homemade dessert for Theo’s birthday. We love this place. Getting better and better every time.”
