“This is an outstanding bar and grill. Eat here at Boonies at least 4-5 times a month. One of the few places that serve frog legs! They are simply delicious. Had a steak today it was flavorful and cooked as requested. Great management and staff. Highly recommended!!! AAAA+++++”

“Greatest food ever. Feels like a dive bar, benches are worn in, place is dimly lit, the staff is oh so friendly and most importantly, the food is amazing and at a great price. We ordered 3 gorditas (our favorite), 3 tortas, 3 pupusas and 2 sodas they came out to about $72 before tip. Walking in the music was blasting, the bar area is full, most of the people are just drinking, watching the game and sometimes singing along to the music. We love this place!”

The eggs alone were a joy, a marriage of fluffy, springy textures holding both sweet and savory notes. The staff felt stretched thin on the day we visited, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. The sushi got rave reviews from my husband and guest for its freshness and delicate flavors. The karaage chicken was crunchy and savory. What I'm saying is prepare for a wait with some green tea and pleasant conversation because a treasure like this is going to be sought after.”

“Best breakfast I have ever eaten!!I Googled breakfast restaurants near me and found Big John's Eatery. I ordered the breakfast bowl with grits. It had scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon and sausage. The grits are to die for!! The service was outstanding. The staff are friendly and really sweet. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. John walked the dining room and introduced himself and spoke with everyone, told us a little about the place. Overall an excellent experience. Great food, reasonable prices. This small family business is very good. They make you feel at home no matter what. The service sometimes is slow, but there are never any sour faces. Everyone is genuinely nice. You would have no idea that the owners were serving you if they didn't tell you that they owned the place. Mostly, everyone there is humble. This is the reason I continue to come back weekly. That and the house margarita!! ? The last time I had one like that was in Mexico.
