great place! my boyfriend and i come in all the time for noodles and sushi, very yummy and always quick with our food. the staff is really nice and the atmosphere is pleasant, definitely my favorite spot in downtown :D
Fantastic service in a time where good service is hard to find. Went with 2 others. We split the Bulgogi that was cooked at the table, and each had a little something extra to share. The food was excellent, and my sweet tea never got below half full. If you want a great example of how service should be handled, stop in. Get the Bulgogi, you won't be sorry.
We went there today, I had very high expectations. I have read many review and we always see people waiting outside to be seated. The restaurant has a a very nice atmosphere, waiters are SUPER nice, service was so fast. We looked at the very large menu but I already knew that I wanted to try the short rib diner portion bulgogi, reviews were amazing. I was very disappointed. It was very rubbery, I found myself chewing and chewing and chewing and not knowing what to do with it. I think I was able to eat less than 1/2 of the actual meat… and I tried eating it all but my teeth could not cut through this meat. Taste was spot on. My husband had the fried rice with shrimps, it was amazing. We also had the shrimp on a blanket, also amazing .. will be coming back for more of that but I am not sure about the short ribs … will try steak next time. … yes, we will come back because everything else was sooo goood.I am thinking that maybe I had a bad piece of meat… an expensive bad piece of meat.
The Korean Bento set (Beef bulgogi), green curry, and Yakisoba was awesome. Great service, food, location, and clean restrooms!
The beef is delicious and comes with enough food for multiple servings. Lots of fun with a group of friends, and the price is fair.
I can say nothing bad. The service is always great, the food is phenomenal, and is a great experience in downtown Melbourne. Only suggestion, as with any really good restaurant, be prepared to wait on the weekends orvon Friday night's. Well worth the wait, when there is a wait.
We had the bulgogi and the fried pork dumplings. We cooked the beef on the grill, and it was absolutely delicious. The one thing I really appreciated is the good ventilation. Great service too. Suggest getting there early as they only have about 16 tables. We showed up later in the evening and waited 30 minutes as a walk-in, but it was well worth it.
The sushi was phenomenal, the tuna was Amazing! The sushi Chef was hilarious and fun to chat with. Would recommend 100% for anyone looking to enjoy an inviting atmosphere in downtown melbourne.
Food is AMAZING, can't complain about that. DEFINITELY recommend, but we order appetizers and it took over 1 hour for us to get it. We got our meal 1st.. it's NOT the same. Very DISAPPOINTED ? for that. Other people that was there after us was getting there food 1st. Thats a very poor management in that area. They don't have a order.
I've been a sushi fan of Mangetsu since it was located where WaWa is now. Last night we went for an experience and enjoyed the Korean BBQ. The grill was clean and I felt very comfortable cooking my food. I've never done that before and the learning curve was not steep. The staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was perfect for a Friday night. We did have to go on a wait list, they handed us a buzzer and we grabbed margaritas next door 30min later just like they said we were ordering dinner. Sushi or BBQ this place has only become better in it's new location downtown.
This was our second visit. We love it. Great food, service and atmosphere. Can't ask for more.
Went for an early dinner last night and it sure was a good thing that we went early!! It was a rainy Wednesday evening in off season and by 6:30 people were lined up at the door. They only have wine and beer license, but it includes a fairly extensive saki list. We started with shrimp tempura served with plentiful tempura veggies and 2 sauces, one sweet chili and the other a slightly sour soy based sauce. I loved them together as a sweet and sour, hubby liked the sour and mom the sweet. We also had the seafood, green onion pancake. Delicious, but needed a touch of soy. For dinner we had the Korean bbq. I'd first had Korean bbq in Austin, TX, one of the US's foodie capitals and had been disappointed. But decided to give it another go. We had the short ribs (golbi) and the prime rib (bulgogi). It came with assorted sides, including, of course, kimchi. I especially liked the pickled carrot and pickled onions. It also came with a sweet, and only slightly spicy sauce and beautiful leaves of red leaf lettuce. Finally I know why people flock to Korean bbq! It was delicious and those 2 meats were more than the three of us could eat. Give it a try! You won't be sorry
One of my favorite restaurant experiences. Super friendly staff and chefs! Excellent food! Fast service—we were pleasantly surprised. Good music, cheerful/chill vibe. We loved it. Oh, and the prices were very fair! What more could you ask for?! Highly recommend.
This was our first time eating here. We will definitely be returning. The staff was very friendly and the food was great.
Our first time here. We had several servers stopping by to take our order which resulted in one incorrect meal, but they fixed it and within 6 or 7 minutes the correct meal was delivered. Everything had great flavor and the portions were large. Will definitely be back!
