“Stopped in on our way home from vacation. Now finding ourselves wishing it was closer or they could deliver 144miles away. Coalzone was mouthwatering goodness, anchovies pizza brought me back to my grandma's. And the chef salad was on point with the gild Italian dressing. Very clean and open atmosphere. We will definitely stop back in if we are ever passing through. Totally recommend!”
“This place is a diamond in the rough where the locals frequent as well as the boaters that are passing through. Barbara the bartender is a gem and Gary, the owner is a sweet man who prepares a mean burger with TLC so enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail while he is prepping the meal for you.”
“Food and service was fantastic. A little off the beaten path, but that is what makes it so nice. The patio is awesome. You can actually take pictures by the canal and tell people that you are in Louisiana lol.”
“Essie Mae and her family do a terrific job with barbecue. The menu has a half a dozen items, all done well. I can recommend the brisket and the pulled pork and the cookies are great too. The food is prepared in a trailer parked at the entrance to Lake Breeze RV park at the intersection of FL78 & CR 721 (Reservation Road). Next time you're in Lakeport, don't pass it up!”
“Hamburgers are great. I love the tator tots too. The other food is good. Sometimes a bit pricey, but that's anywhere you go nowadays. They make some wonderful sweet tea! Usually pretty clean inside. Tho a little updating would probably be good.”
“It's an Arby's... in the middle of nowhere. I'm so happy that this place is showing up off of us 27. I've been driving back and forth from Port Charlotte to Miami for about 15 years every other weekend. And I'm so happy that this restaurant has shown up. They have great sandwiches and a wonderful selection they even have a wagyu burger that's better than most burger places. The only negative is that they took off their potato cakes, which were my favorite and everybody in my family's favorite. They should bring back potato cakes. I took off one star because they took off the potato cakes from their menu.”
“food was delicious and well priced went for the gator bites that where absolutley wonderful and crispy and not greasy at all just up from the glades golf course and michelle was very polite and friendley and the new owner came out to ask us if everthing was good Bob told her her gator is the best he eve ”
“I want to apologize about the last review that was made on my account. Someone hacked my phone and made a very unacceptable comment about Thomas diner. I've work for Thomas hourse and Mary Jane for 5 year's starting as a prep cook then to the restaurant's local DJ aka DJ Sr.Roc. They showed me more love and friendship then anyone I've ever worked for. So if my hacker has caused any confusion. I would be the first to apologize.”
“You all need to get over your entitled selves... (Speaking to the patrons that feel the world should bow to them). It's not a perfect world, sometimes places get really busy and you are not going to get privileged attention! This place makes food to order, that means you are not going to get it 5 minutes later, which means it gets backed up, especially when it's a full house! And the meat is smoked daily for the expected amount. So if you waltz in an hour before they close... Odds are the will be running out of product. The staff here works their butts off! Next time you go, just watch them.... They are not just sitting in a corner or sitting on their phone.... They don't stop! And you all are self centeredly UNGRATEFUL!The staff truly deserves hazard pay for putting up with the general public! All that being said the building itself it on the dusty side... I know it cost money but that carpet is awful....perhaps some vinyl wood planks maybe?Oh... And....BRING BACK THE SALAD BAR!!!!!!!!Thanks ?Parking: The establishment can't help what it smells like outside the restaurant... This is sugartown, there is a sugar refinery right down the road it's not manure your smelling it's sugar being made”
“Off the beaten path and worth the ride. Beautiful river views, food is a little pricey, but well worth the price for admission. Fresh ingredients and nicely prepared. Excellent staff, dedicated owners, Poker Run took us there last week and what a great place to kick back and relax. Almost forgot about the Poker Run and didn't want to leave. So yes they have a nice cozy bar serving adult beverages. I've been here about a dozen times and I'm never disappointed and always a great meal, whatever I order. As a matter of fact a burger, some onion rings and a slice of key lime pie is sounding REAL good right now. See you there...”
