“I didn't know what to expect for coffee in Williston but I had to come here when I saw the fun and unique name... "Sad Donkey"!! It's a clean small to-go cafe that can be found via GPS as it's not on a main road. I parked right out front and popped in to order. Everyone I met was super nice and welcoming and my double espresso gave me the jolt of tasty energy I needed after hiking! They have a clean bathroom in a separate building... just ask like I did. As for the unhappy donkey, I had to ask what that was about. Apparently, the owner's horse looks like a sad donkey when it's left out in the rain and gets soaked and depressed... I don't know what a sad donkey looks like but now I'm quite curious. Anyone have a picture of a sad donkey? Life is good with good coffee and a bummed out donkey! Be happy donkey!”

“Very sweet girls working. We stopped for lunch on our trip and it did not disappoint. My kiddos loved their grilled cheese and fruit and my turkey spinach wrap was delicious!! We will definitely be back!”

“Had a wonderful night after being recommended to the silver moon by Dori at Thirsty Turtle. Didn’t catch the bartenders name that night but she’s a sweetheart from Kent with the most beautiful hair and said ‘BEEP BEEP HONK HONK’ a few times. Great place to spend a Tuesday night. The bar back was great too! Last but absolutely not the least there’s not only an honest crowd but also honest staff. I left my pocketbook/purse with over $100 in it there and didn’t even notice til 6pm the next day. I called and immediately they said yes, it’s safe in the office; I went and picked it up and all my cash was still in the bag too! Safe to say, I’ll be back any time in in town for some karaoke and good drinks!Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp to the front door that isn’t too steep and the door seal is reasonable to roll across too.”

“Fun place to come and visit. Nice shade to sit in while waiting for food. Cash only. I ordered the Mahi Mahi Rice Bowl and split it with my wife. Plenty of food to go between her and I. Super tasty. A wide variety of hot sauces are available to use on the food. Quick to get food once ordered. I'll be back in the future. Service was a little odd at the window. Nothing to significantly decrease my review.”

“Very good food and service. Nice big booths if preferred over sitting at a table. Our group of five ordered breakfast items: omelets, hashbrowns, pancakes, biscuits, etc. All were very good. Somone in our group wanted orange juice but when it was served in a bottle rather than a glass, she declined so don't expect to get fresh squeezed juice. The coffee is very good and the servers are very attentive to keeping the cups full. If you like pastries, they are, sadly, not on the menu. Free parking in a lot. Melanie's is conveniently located on Main Street.”

“We decided to stop here on our way home from Gainesville to Crystal River. Initially, I was disappointed to see that it was only a beer and wine bar. It was a smoking bar and didn't smell any smoke in there!! That place was extremely immaculate and the bartender, Dee, was phenomenal!!! She was very friendly. There was no dust anywhere...ceiling fans, a/c vents, behind the bar, door frames, or tops of pictures. Yes, I have OCD and had to inspect when I used the cleanest bathrooms I ever used. I was extremely impressed!! If I could give 10 stars, I totally would... they even had hand sanitizer on the tables!!!”

“I remembered the first time that I stopped by there, the food was delicious, but some how I forgot my wallet. The owner/manager said that was no problem, and that I can pay them the next time I come in to visit. I came right back the very next day to pay them. All I can say is that this place or whoever run this restaurant has got integrity and compassion. Now, Iam forever in their debt.Well done✔️.”

“Fantastic place, chef, food, and service. They seem very popular with the locals, too. We had the special of the day and another meal. Portion sizes were perfect. I was slightly shocked when they delivered the soup and salad prior to the meal. The portion size seemed so small, but that's what conditioning does to you. Yes, it was small, but that's actually perfect. Why do restaurants need to give you a pre- meal salad that's the size of an entree? We weren't overstuffed at the end of the meal, which was so nice, but we did take our desserts to go. Not usually dessert people, but how could you not take a few homemade items home to enjoy during our evening movie. We are every last bite. The pie cake and truffles were absolutely delicious. We wanted to try the flan, but they sold out the whole thing while we ate our meal. I recommend picking your desserts before dinner. They all seemed pretty famous and even saw people come in just to get them to go. Don't miss out on this gem of you're in town.”

“Fried rice is yellow with next to nothing in it, not very good. Sweet and sour chicken is typical, a bit oily, but the pieces are very small, the sweet sauce is thee red sauce with no veggie chunks or fruit pieces in it. The pepper steak and onions was very good, beef is very tender, sauce was rich and plentiful and a very good portion of green peppers and onions. I'd go back again just for that! Wonton soup is decent with plenty of wontons (thick style wrapper, I prefer thin) and the broth is lighter not dark with a nice flavor, not over salty.”

“I ordered the breakfast platter with ham. My only complaint is that the ham was a very thin slice which almost made it hard like a jerky. But it had a really good flavor and was salty like I prefer in ham. All the food was really good and they gave me plenty of sausage gravy for my biscuit! For fast food it was a great breakfast and I will definitely be ordering again the next time I come here for breakfast!”
