We found the Happy Snapper just by chance and we were soooo happy we did! The food is spot on delicious and everyone is so nice. You can tell they love their restaurant! We ordered the blue crab bisque and it was so good we bought more to take home. I had the snapper with potatoes and vegetables and my husband had salmon. Both dinners were seasoned so well. We live an hour away but came back and brought my sister who loved it too! We will definitely keep coming back because it so worth the trip.
Delicious food, and amazing customer service. Food was brought out hot, in a timely manner, and prices were fair. Would highly recommend and will return when I’m back in town.
Expensive but the food was phenomenal. Worth every penny. It’s very hidden though to the eye, the building looks a little beat but you’d be surprised at the quality of the food. The chef deserves an award. This restaurant was truly a hidden gem.
Wow ! This place is fantastic, it definitely deserves more hype !!! We’ve been to this place twice and it never fails to amaze us with the flavor and quality of the food . A true “don’t judge a book by its cover” !! Definitely one of my favorite places here in Orlando . Kuddos to the Chef ??
BESTEST fried grouper sandwich we have had in a very long time !!! Very nice employees as well... never judge a book by its cover - outside not much to look at but our meal was sensational!! We're coming back in 2 days for another round !!
While this place may not look like much the food and service were excellent. Party of three; one vegan, one dietary restriction, and one normal each found something on the menu which was cooked fresh to meet each persons specific needs. The portion size was perfect, the taste fantastic, and the service very friendly. Highly recommend it.
Best small run seafood place around. People are super nice and friendly. Pricesses are very reasonable for amount you get and food is delicious. I'm very picky on ordering cooked vegetables, but this place has me coming back.
The wife and I dropped by this place on our last visit to Orlando because we were craving seafood and were not disappointed. Don't be deceived by the modest exterior. This place is a hidden gem. They really take pride in their food and it shows. Excellent service and excellent food. Will definitely visit again.
What this place lacks in ambiance it makes up for in flavor and freshness. Everything we ate was delicious! The crab cake and crab bisque were the highlights for me but my blackened snapper fillet was perfectly cooked. The dill potatoes and veggies were a perfect compliment. I'm definitely coming back.
Wow, great fresh fish (Red and Yellow Snapper) and Octopus salad. It was tremendously great tasting. I would go out of my way to eat here again.
Awesome food at a super reasonable price! Best customer service! This is truly a hidden gem in the area that I can't recommend enough. You should try it
This restaurant was worth our trek out of the way to try. My aunt had read a review about the Happy Snapper and how good it was so we decided to take a family trip. 10/10 amazing. The staff was friendly and informative and the food was spectacular! Highly recommend.
After a week staying at the Holiday Inn at Orange Lake and being surrounded by nothing but chain restaurants this was worth the drive! Food was fresh, staff was friendly, and the food was amazing! Did I mention how good the fresh food was? We got the blackened grouper and the butter garlic shrimp and couldn’t have been more thankful. If you live in or you are on vacationing in Florida you must stop in and get yourself some fresh seafood!
Don't let the look of this place fool you. It is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. After having spent an entire week I'm Orlando trying to find a quality seafood experience, we finally found it here. The dining room is small but the food is out of this world good. And if that was enough, the staff were extremely nice and pleasant to deal with. We usually visit this area once a year and this will forever be a regular stop for us.If you're in the Orlando area or even just outside the immediate area and want an awesome seafood/Cajun experience, you don't need to go any further. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back as soon as we can.
Can't find one reason why I shouldn't go along with the Yelp community and give this place 5 stars. The clam chowder soup was not to heavy on the cream but full of clam flavor. The two sandwiches we ordered were on a hoagie bun. Blackened red snapper and blackened grouper were fresh and flavorful. The displays cases were empty but that could be because they sold out as I was there a little after 5pm. I will be back to try some of the other menu items or buy seafood to take home.
