“I love the hole in the wall chef owned places and this place did not disappoint at all! The BBQ sauce was amazing all the meats in the family package were on point and the sides I have no words! This place is truly amazing we will be back !!!!“
“The best barbecue, I’ve had in the world! Some people say that, just as a catchphrase however, I’ve actually had barbecue around the world, being a world, traveling myself and this is by far the best! The people are friendly and the food is great! Thank you all for everything!“
“Blue Dot is ghetto fabulous. The burgers here are always consistent. The menu is super simple. If it's your first time, just get the Burger, it's what they are known for and it's probably the best thing on the menu. Now to address the ghetto part, they don't seem to care about the hours of operation, you need to make sure to call ahead of time, the voicemail won't let you leave a message. You can try your luck and just go but you may be disappointed.“
“I recently ordered a takeout order. I arrived on time to receive my order. It took the person delivering it to me THREE tries to get the right order. I said my name clearly every time and they still got it wrong the first two times. That wasnt as big an issue as the latter. There was an accident on my way home but when I finally did get to my order.... For starters, I received the wrong bun for my sandwich. I ordered garlic bread rather than the normal bun but did not receive it. I also had fries and the southern eggrolls. The fries were just BARELY cooked enough to be considered fries. They were very hard and not fluffy at all. The eggrolls were extremely soft and did not have a single crunch to them. I have heard that this restaurant has gone down and I didnt believe it because sonnys used to be good but now; that is clearly the case. Fries not fully cooked and eggrolls are as soft as mashed potatoes. Its a shame because back in the day, they used to be good. Do not recommend.“
“I like how this place is off the beaten path. Their coffee was delicious (vanilla latte + the Hughes from their signature drinks) We got the shrimp n grits & egg/steak sandwich. The grits were immensely lacking flavor, they needed some spice or cheese or jalapeños or something. The potatoes were floppy/soggy. Not crispy at all. Sausage probably would’ve been better. BUT the vibes were great, love that it’s attached to a barbershop. Found parking on the street. Server was good.“

“First off, our waitress, Hailey, was phenomenal. She was friendly, polite, and professional. She was knowledgeable about the menu. She also takes great care of her customers. The food selection and taste were great. There is plenty of seating. It's definitely worth the visit. Make sure to get Hailey as the waitress.“
“My husband and I weren't sure of the hours as we hadn't been before and didn't realize they usually close around 5 when the food runs out. We stopped by around 7:15 and Phil explained his hours but then welcomed us in after closing to be out of the rain and graciously packed up 2 combo meals with fresh fried okra and an extra sandwich for us to go!! He is so incredibly kind-we will definitely be back and spread the word. We inhaled our dinner when we got home and it was BOMB. Thank you so much, Phil!!!“
“Very friendly and fantastic service. We ordered some gumbo, ribs, poboys, and brisket. Gumbo was filled with flavor, brisket was probably my favorite, poboys was pretty good, but the ribs were a bit dry. Not a huge fan of the BBQ flavor either. That being said, I'd still go back and support this small business because the ppl were great and for the most part the food was great.“
“I was at the Olive Garden when a young man overheard me talking to the bartender about wanting some good barbque. He interjected, telling me that Smokey's Bar-b-que was the cleanest place he had ever worked. He also stated he loved the family and felt like they were the best employers he had ever worked for. He didn't stop there. He told me they made EVERYTHING homemade, unlike Sonny's barbque that brings in a lot of already prepared foods. So, I went there. I ordered enough food to last a few days. It was all good except the corn on the cob. It tasted rancid. 100% did not eat it. I love me some COTC too. They make their own deserts too (which is almost unheard of.) The keylime pie was light and delicious. The "nana puddin" sent me down memory lane with my Grandmother. But let's get back to the Bar-b-que. Meat was tasty, the ribs were tender, and the sauces, also homemade, were sooooo good!Aside from the taste of the food, and the nostalgic pricing, the knowledge that I am supporting a pensacola owned business, I will fasten my seat belt in that direction, for many years to come.Check their times for being open. Just because it is Saturday night, it doesn't mean you be seated in dining. They close at 3. But you can go through the drive-through until 8:30“
“Looks like a shack but awesome bbq. The meat is smoked with sauce on the side. Their house sauce has a little kick. Burnt ends are the star but all is so very good. It is seasonal so might be gone soon but the pumpkin cream pie was amazing.“
