Went to La Union while on vacation in Pensacola this past weekend. The people there were friendly. There were several dishes to choose from. I had the soup- beef short ribs, plantains, potatoes, corn, carrots, cilantro, avocado. It was excellent! My cousin had the stewed chicken. She loved it. Both were served with rice and plantains. Come hungry because the portions are huge.

Food was decent. The rice had really good flavor, the stake was a solid okay and the beans didn't have much flavor. The plantains weren't sweet plantains.The biggest reason I'm taking the stars down is I just saw the menu that actually has the price and I'm pretty sure they're doing that on purpose. I paid 22$ for my meal with a drink. It looks like the price of my meal is 12$ according to their menu.That being said this is definitely not a restaurant just like a few others have...read full review

Hidden in the back of a small grocery I wasn't sure what to expect. There wasn't any menu but the proprietor made a recommendation and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious!
