“This is the my great grandma cooked chicken and fried pork. This is the way. Of you haven't tried this place, well... you need to go. You will want to come back again. I promise. The Mac n cheese, yummy! Okra, the way I remember.“
“I’ve lived in Pensacola for almost 4 years now and finally visited Grover’s for the first time. I’m from upstate NY (Buffalo area) where we have soft serve ice cream, the best Buffalo sauces/wing sauces, a bunch of crispy wing family owned restaurants for good prices. Well, Grovers is now our FAVORITE. Not many places that offer soft serve ice cream around here, so go try it! Plus they have so many flavors to add to your vanilla cone. Their fries are perfectly crispy… and their buffalo sauce, well, amazinggg. They definitely know what Buffalo sauce is instead of giving you a side of red-hot like most places I’ve seen here. Will be coming back way more often! The staff is so sweet, the atmosphere is welcoming, causal and comfortable. 100/10.“
“Lots of gluten free options for my husband who has celiac. He ordered the Pork BBQ plate. For an appetizer, we had the goat cheese cheesecake with seasonal pepper jelly that was served with gluten free crackers. I had the Spanish Crab Cazuela which was so delicious!! It was served with a green salad with blue cheese and spiced pepita's. They also serve Rishi brand hot tea which is my favorite. Will definitely go back!“
“Looks like a shack but awesome bbq. The meat is smoked with sauce on the side. Their house sauce has a little kick. Burnt ends are the star but all is so very good. It is seasonal so might be gone soon but the pumpkin cream pie was amazing.“
“Great high end steak house. Staff was highly attentive and pushed the line of passionate. Diner was expensive but worth it. Steaks were exactly as ordered and sides were competitive for the best tastes offered.Kid-friendliness: Do not bring children“
“We had the most wonderful experience tonight while dining in. We started with a little bit of a wait, about an hour, but with the views and areas to walk around, it was no problem for 5 adults and 5 kids. The food was beyond amazing! The service was spot on and Sam was absolutely killer with dealing with all of the kids, four of which are 5 and under! It was clear she really cared. Holy smokes was the food good!!! Between the fish tacos, the grits, and the blackened tuna I had for an appetizer, I haven’t ate so good in my life!! I can’t wait to come back!! These guys are really GREAT!“
“I like how this place is off the beaten path. Their coffee was delicious (vanilla latte + the Hughes from their signature drinks) We got the shrimp n grits & egg/steak sandwich. The grits were immensely lacking flavor, they needed some spice or cheese or jalapeños or something. The potatoes were floppy/soggy. Not crispy at all. Sausage probably would’ve been better. BUT the vibes were great, love that it’s attached to a barbershop. Found parking on the street. Server was good.“
“I've heard about this place and decided to stop in and check it out. Don't let the outside of the building fool you, once inside it's comfortable and the staff are super friendly. Just what you'd expect from a locally owned Southern restaurant. I tried the Fish and Chips today. The fish could have been a little firmer for my liking, but that's what happens when you deep fry white fish. Having said that, it was still very good and well seasoned. The portion size was huge, half plate of home cut fries and 3 pieces of fish. The side I chose was Mac & Cheese. You could tell it wasn't industrial canned stuff. Light and creamy. I actually got to talk to the owner and she was very nice and pleasant to talk to. They have a small core menu but most of their items change daily and are made fresh and to order. I only give it 4 stars because I've only eaten there once so I'll have to go back and try some more items. Overall I'd recommend driving from wherever you are to stop inside, I feel you won't be disappointed.“
“Me and my boyfriend went and ate a few days ago the service was impeccable! and the food was decent, i HIGHLY recommend the spinach dip as and appetizer! however i did order the “southern” green beans along side my steak/fried shrimp dinner & they were so tough and had this terribly sweet taste, wouldn’t get the green beans again but other than that love this place!“
“Bacon was not cooked as requested and french toast was burnt. Had to eat eggs by themselves while waiting on new item to be redone. My wife however said her meal was the best she had for over a year.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies but I think a side salad should be made available as a regular side like it used to be. Big mistake removing it.“
