The first time I enjoyed fare from Earl of Sandwich was during a weekend trip to Disney Springs. Formerly known as Downtown Disney, my crew and I were looking for a place that was more filling than the typical sandwalk restaurants but not overly fancy with a large price tag. That is when we discovered Earl of Sandwich. The fourth Earl of Sandwich was nobleman John Montagu. Legend has that in 1762 he was playing cards and did not want interrupt the game to get food. Instead he asked for a serving of roast beef to be placed between two slices of bread which could be eaten with his hands. Another story has him fighting the French and with no time to feed the troops and he asked that a piece of boiled beef be placed between bread. Hey listen, I know it's not gourmet dining or anything spectacular. But this place makes a decent sandwich much better than Panera bread. I grabbed the roast beef turkey panini . It was tasty. Service was a little slow but they only had one person working. I don't know about their claim of being the world's best sandwich stuff. They need to fix that
