Mostly fresh food and made with love. They are so pleasant and they treat you like family. I say mostly fresh because the patties taste like patties I've bought frozen from Sam's Club before. The plantains also taste frozen and thawed, not freshly fried.
Great little spot for traditional Jamaican. Stopped by here to grab lunch on the way home. Got the curry chicken, with plantains, rice and peas, and cabbage. Absolutely delicious. In fact, only got to take a couple of bites as my teenage daughters got to it first. Super friendly owner. A great addition to the ethnic food scene in Sarasota. I'll definitely be back.

I had the j*** chicken, rice and peas, and plantains. All were very good, i like my plantains cooked a bit longer but still very sweet. The chicken had a nice low burn. I am looking forward to going back to try their curried goat. Will be tough to beat Island Choice in Avon Park. Also will finish off with some black rum cake next time.
