It wasn't the best deep dish pizza but good enough. Their Chicago hot dogs is spot on! And so let's get back to the pizza. It the large sausage and mushroom. Sausage taste legit Italian sausage. I am okay with the can mushroom. What did't grade high was the sauce, it lacked the flavor I am accustomed or at be closed enough. The dough was burnt yet not crispy all around. Joey D's pizza after a beach day is a really good combination. My friends and I went to Joey D's after hitting the beach for dinner to go. We picked up a large pepperoni pizza for $20. It was enough pizza for 4 and was super delicious. The pizza sauce was robust and pepperonis a plenty! If you like your pics with a little grease this is your spot! Note the pizza was cut into squares!
Best Chi-town and Philly food south of the border. Already having a connection to both Chicago and Philadelphia, we decided to try the Chicago Deep Dish, the Chicago Hot Dog, and the Italian Beef Sandwich. Each was impressive and delicious. The hot dog had the special poppyseed bun and correct peppers. The deep-dish had crust that was tasty and moist, but very supportive of the toppings - nice!
