“This was our first time and it was delightful. Our server, Annie was efficient, kind, attentive and all around wonderful. Food was excellent and atmosphere was perfect. Very clean and nicely decorated. Would have been nice if they had a full bar. We will be back.”
“Killer location, staff awesome under pressure. Well equipped for cranking out drinks and food. Frankie rocks behind the bar, and the Conch Fritters were off the hook.”
“Amazing breakfast menu. The breakfast skillet was delicious and the huge biscuit was to die for. Our server Cajun was friendly and helpful. Thank you Cajun for the pepper sauce recommendation, it was so delicious that I bought a jar to take back to Ohio with me. Just 2 ladies from Ohio enjoying breakfast.”
“This place does it right! I was looking for a menu item that was no longer on the board but they made it very close. I appreciate customer service so much great location also.”
“My daughter's and i stayed here and we really enjoyed it very much. The food was really good. The service was good and the room was really nice and up to date.”
“Food was pretty good. My husband loved his antipasto salad and my big CD was good except the noodles were way overcooked and mushy. The young man at the cash was super friendly and lovely to deal with the smell in the restaurant is amazing. Next time I’ll try the pizza.”
“I have a lot of affection for this place. Warm atmosphere, top quality food without a lot of pretentiousness. The house made pasta is a must. Not to mention a rare place that has wild boar ragu sauce on the menu. If you know, you know. Love love love.”
“Tucked one lot over from the Village Inn in a humble, unassuming house exists the home of one of the best meals I've ever had.I've wanted to come here since they opened and my birthday celebration was the perfect opportunity. Be sure to make reservations! This isn't a walk-in place. Parking was ample, although I can see it becoming tight depending on how crowded they get.The interior was pleasant and well-done, subtle yet comfortable. We were seated immediately and Kirsten introduced herself as our server. She provided wonderful service throughout the meal, whisking used dishes away while keeping waters full, being attentive without being overbearing. She did not rush us in any way and we were able to order appetizers and enjoy them before putting in our entrees.Like a kid in a candy shop, I ordered three appetizers to share. We had the Sweet and Spicy Sunomono, The Bloom buns, and the Hokkaido Scallop Crudo. All were an amazing combination of flavors in their own rights. Chef Barry himself served the Scallop Crudo and it was a great experience to have the opportunity to meet him.The Bloom buns were the absolute best buns I've ever tasted, served warm with a side of sweet kimchi butter that I wanted to eat by itself, a far better option to the proverbial bread baskets served in other restaurants. The Sunomono were refreshing and exciting, and I loved the crunchy contrast of the cashews. The Scallop Crudo's scallops were from Japan and served raw, which took us all off guard, yet we devoured it. Served cold with the creamy accompaniments and razor thin sliced truffles, it is a wonderful start to what was coming next.On to the main course. My wife had the Banchan served with lettuce leaves for wrapping. The pork belly was phenomenal. The kids both had the Sweet Soy Braised Brisket ramen and devoured it. I selected the Spicy Tan Tan ramen with spicy ground pork in a sesame sichuan-coconut broth and could not have been more pleased with the depth of flavors. The spice was perfect for me, making my forehead sweat without burning off my tongue. At one point I thought to save half for lunch the next day but that proved to be beyond my self-control and I finished it all, including the perfectly prepared soft egg.Side tip we learned --> there are two dishes that end in "Mazeman" and both of these are not in broth. Their noodles are mixed in a sauce instead. We couldn't leave without sharing the two dessert options. There was a Hot Cocoa and Donuts which comes with two cups of the cocoa, and Kusaki, a chocolate miso crumble cake that was beyond amazing. You need to dig your spoon all the way to the bottom as it is prepared in layers, each one better than the next. There is also a nice assortment of Japanese beers, saki, and cocktails available.Lotus Noodle Bar is a blessing and gem to have in our area, and I highly recommend trying it if you enjoy ramen or just delicious food in general. I can't wait to return.”
“I recently dined at St. Augustine Fish Camp from a friend’s recommendation, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The waitress, a kind and attentive blonde woman, provided excellent service throughout the evening, although I regrettably didn't catch her name. One standout aspect of the restaurant is their commitment to freshness – they never freeze anything, ensuring that every dish bursts with flavor.I enjoyed their red sangria, clam chowder soup, salmon, and peanut butter pie for dessert.Making a reservation is recommended, and I found the free and convenient parking to be a bonus.Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with top-notch customer service. Highly recommended!”
“First time here, and I will be back. When visiting St. Augustine for a long day of work, when we were done and starving a coworker recommended that we try this place, so we did. There were 5 of us on a Sunday evening, and as son as we got there, they were able to sit us right away. When you first pull up to the building you see the historic aspect of it, with the bricks on the wall, the raw cast iron on the railings of the stairs and the industrial 1900's bathroom faucets and water tanks over the toilet! I am a sucker for a historical building. The place has tons of caricature and a welcoming feels to it.Our waiter was amazing, knowledgeable and walked us through the whole menu, describing his favorite dishes one by one, and helping us make good choices when ordering.I went with the gnocchi, it was bathed in a curry based sauce with sautéed mushrooms, on a bed of spinach was finger-liking good! It paired perfectly with the French bread to sip it in. Oh, and a must order are the French fries with the ruffle Parmesan, I know, it's just fries, but I'm telling you, this is a must try! They are the perfect crispness with just the right amount of truffle shavings and Parmesan, they didn't last too long at our table!I'm planning a trip back to St. Augustine soon, and this place is on this list of places to come with the fam! Can't wait!!”
“Best seafood in St. Augustine! Just had to go back and DJ’s didn’t disappoint!! We always try restaurants from Diners, Dine-ins and Dives:Party of 5The Maine Lobster roll was on a garlic butter roll. Super fresh and filled with so much lobster. Gotta get it, it’s amazing! 2 rolls for us, lol.And the Garlic Steamed Middle Necks, were so good especially with garlic bread to soak up the juices. The Fried Shrimp are lightly breaded and a great size. This came with sweet potato fries and maple mayo which was so, so good. Also be sure to try the Garlic Shrimp Roll on a toasted butter bun. Seasoned and cooked to perfection.Oh and the clam chowder is a home run! The kids dug into the chowder too. There is a great kids menu with PB&J, hot dogs, and more.. but the kiddos had fish tacos, which they left nothing behind.Sending a shoutout to Kaleb, Jake, and Davida! Super fast service and a spotless establishment.FYI there’s lots of seating outside & inside upstairs. Can’t wait to go back for the next round!!Kid-friendliness: There is a great kids menu with PB&J and a Hot Dog amongst other options. It’s a great family friendly atmosphere for any age, including the kiddos!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that takes you right into the restaurant. There is plenty of seating with ease for those needing wheelchair accessibility.”
“Tallarines Verdes with hanger steak and Mar Y Tierra. Both were amazing and a good portion size. For dessert we had Sacred Valley. It was so delicious that we contemplated ordering a second for the car ride home. If we are back in St. Augustine, we will be coming back to Llama.”
“Came here with my sister on a Saturday at 2pm! Food was delicious, service was almost immediate, price was completely affordable— we each got soup, dumplings, sushi, and hibachi, all for 35 bucks. Our servers were kind and quick!! DEFINITELY worth coming here. A perfect little hole in the wall.”
“LOVED the brisket and tried the turkey for the first time tonight and it was amazing as well. Thank you as well for always being kind and caring when we visit. We will be back again and again!!”
“We drive 30 min to eat at this resturant. The food is delicious. The service is friendly and happy to see you. It is a great out of the way place to eat excellent Italian ”
“Megan and Joel were awesome! They were so friendly and helpful. We tried 4 ice cream shops while here for bike week and this one was hands down the best one for service and quality of ice cream!!! 100% would ”
“We ordered a birthday cake for my twin granddaughters second birthday and had a lot of requests from snowflakes to egg free but Dana exceeded all of our expectations and then some. The cake (coconut with coconut cream) looked absolutely amazing and was one of the most delicious cakes we've ever had. Even the non believers in an egg free cake were converted. Dana I can't thank you enough you are a true artist.Dietary restrictions: Egg free”
“After a long day of travel, this was a perfect place to spend the evening! The food was delicious (I'd like to request that carrot cake every year for my birthday!) and the service was impeccable. Looking forward to stopping in, again, when I'm in St. Augustine.”
“Playa Chac Mool is a great location, a few blocks from St Augustine beach. Ambiance is comfortable, a smaller restaurant with appropriately 20 tables, it's a good idea to come early or likely there is a bit of a wait. Can accommodate parties as large as 10. May have live music on weekends. Service is great. Friendly and attentive with good advice if you are having trouble deciding on a menu option. Staff were able to accommodate our requests for some cook options without any issue. Great selection of beers and mixed drinks. Menu is a little more limited but the focus means dishes are all good- can't go wrong here with any options include make your own combo plates. Portions and prices are fair and a little lacking on the amount of protein served in dishes but flavors are very good and portion sizes were filling combined with the appetizer we ordered. The Chac Mool sauce offered here is unique. Smokey with a bit of heat, it is rich and quite tasty. Also great with chips. A nice dining experience with strong marks across the board for ambience, service and food. Four stars due to the protein portions being on the small side. Definitely worth a try.”
“Amazing cafe. I'm a regular here and highly recommend them. Some of the staff are more friendly than the others but youll at least get the normal customer service experience. there's a few baristas I wish I knew the name of cause they are really nice and helpful and deserve a shout out. Highly recommend their pawpoints reward system.”
“Stumbled on this place while visiting. Great service even though she was busy. Dog friendly patio. Delicious food. Try the enchilada or burger. The shredded chicken and guacamole amazing combo. Finish with beniets!”
“Fun place to eat! Love the boards and there honestly made Bourbon is amazing! A bit pricey but you get what you pay for! Great entertainment! Only issue was it's a small restaurant and very loud! Had fun!”
“Considering that this place is in tourist central the food is shockingly good. Even my kids who are notoriously picky loved everything they served, even the fries. The staff were all super nice and helpful too. I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars because the menu in the restaurant says you get soup with each sandwich, but when you order that's not the case. Still, this place serves seriously legit sandwiches.”
“We spoke to the owner both times coming here. She is a delight to talk to and has a great personality. The atmosphere is bright, light, and refreshing. The ice cream made for us really hit the spot!”
“Delicious and highly recommend! We’re from out of town and decided to stop here on our way back to Tennessee. There was a bit of a wait (we were given a 30min wait but probably waited only 15), definitely worth the wait! The food was incredible. The biscuits and peach butter they give you were amazing. I got the 2 chicken biscuits which were a large portion! You do have to pay extra for sides (eggs, home fries) but it was worth it. My boyfriend got the hash and that was great too. If you’re in the area, stop here!”
“The food was great and came out quick, even though the restaurant was busy. Our waitress Alli was amazing. She was efficient, courtesy and professional. We had our 6 year old with us and she was so kind to her. The hostess and another waitress came over and we're just as kind. We were treated like family and I would recommend this restaurant for any local or anyone traveling through. Definitely ask for Alli because she goes above and beyond and you won't be disappointed. Thank you for to the cooks too. The food was delicious.”
“The food is delicious, drinks are fantastic, and service is wonderful. (The tofu banh mi is my top pick.) I traveled here from Jacksonville 3 weekends in a row because they got me hooked. ?Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian. :)Dietary restrictions: They are friendly to those who are gluten free due to celiac or otherwise.Kid-friendliness: They can make options kid friendly if you ask. :)”
“Great atmosphere and awesome food! I highly recommend the PK burger and the deviled eggs. The brussel sprouts were crispy and delicious. The chicken tenders were made in house and the breading was perfectly seasoned. They have a huge bourbon selection too! Cheers!”
“I really liked the place, but it only has two small tables outside, and I would have liked to have my ☕️ outside.Kid-friendliness: The ice creams are good, with various options for children.”
“Great early dinner on Sunday before the rush. Triggerfish, Chicken Parm, and Fish Fry. Tons of sides came with all entrees. Our server, Destinee, was so naturally kind. Easy going and very attentive.”
