This is an old property with very few amenities. However, the room was clean and quiet for the five nights of my stay. It is six minutes from the Harmony Golf Preserve (the reason for my visit) and about 10 minutes from St. Cloud.
Every year we meet with a group of friends for lunch in St. Cloud and have started spending the night in the area to avoid the late Friday afternoon I-4 traffic back home. This year we decided to stay at the Lakeside Inn and Café and highly recommend it. You are off the beaten path, and you do feel like you are stepping back to the 1960s and a simpler time. This motel is so amazing! Very clean and very quiet! The lake is beautiful. While this motel may not have extra amenities like big chains…it’s very much like motels when I was younger. Bring some drinks and snacks; then pile in and rest! Very beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger towns but still within driving distance.
