“I currently live, and have for 20+ years, in NC, however, I started growing up in south GA, Thomasville, but my family has always gone to and/or lived in the Big Bend, including Carrabelle, Alligator Point, St. Marks, etc., so, whenever I am below the GA line I go see Renea at the Shack for some smoked mullet!!!! I have never had better in my 65 yr. life and can't even find any most places in the world!!! I bring it back to NC, if....if I have any left!!!!Kid-friendliness: I have been accused of being 5, and Renea has always been very friendly to this child!!! :)”

“My spouse and I love Skullyz BBQ. We are slowly eating our way through their menu. Tonight, we had the ‘Choice of Two dinner’ and got the ribs. O M G. The meat falls off the bone and doesn’t need any sauce even though sauce comes on the side. We opted for the mixed green and pea salad sides. My spouse said the mixed greens were “a thing of beauty” and I get the pea salad every time. I simply love it. We also picked up a quart of their Brunswick Stew. It almost has too much ‘heat’ but boy is it tasty. We haven’t had a bad meal and the serving sizes usually provide us 2-3 meals each so this is a great deal for us. (We can’t eat as much as we used to.) If you are in the area Thursday- Sunday stop in and pick up a fabulous meal.”
“Went here. They had my best bud Damien Lucio play music for the night when we were passing thru on tour. Im his promoter, and he just did it judt for fun that night. I have to tell you it was the most welcoming crowd I think I have ever been.around to strangers! I highly recommend you check our this spot if you pass thru!!!”
“The vanilla ice cream was “world class“ and the beans are from Madagascar as said by the gentleman at the front serving our ice cream. It was the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted, thick and creamy. We came for the scallops stayed for the ice cream.”

Don’t recall her name but she was blonde and had a 4 year old son (if owners are listening.)Food was pretty darn good. “The tacos are AMAZING! Lightly smoked, shredded beef and you must have them schmitty'd with the peppers and jalapenos. Not too spicy and added a hint of sweetness. The guac and corn queso were super yummy. Generous portions of everything. The owners, John and Brenda, are so sweet and welcoming. Cozy atmosphere for open air dining with that islandy feel. We had a white chocolate mocha frappe for dessert from 1st and 8th Coffee and it was also delicious! We'll definitely be back!”
