Everything they serve is farm to table. We had crab cake balls, bacon wrapped scallops, and the best stuffed mushrooms you have ever tasted.For our dessert we had a vision of a donut cake. Kayla and DJ constructed an actual wedding cake made with krispy cream donuts and it was the centerpiece of the night!The staff at Backwoods was also great to work with. Alex and Taylor did a wonderful job coordinating all of the details for our big day. Hire Backwoods for catering or go eat at the restaurant- they go above and beyond!”

They have the best krab rangoon in Tallahassee by far with sweet and sour sauce!!! Definitely recommend them to anyone who wants good sushi in the Tallahassee area!”

“We stepped in for a cocktail and a light dinner around 8:00. It was a bit late but we were in need of something light. Great atmosphere. We split a wedge salad that was perfect. We also split the filet which was amazing. Best filet I've enjoyed in quite some time. Enjoyed a Star Lord cocktail and coffee to wrap things up. Our waiter had such a great attitude and friendly demeanor that I gave him a $75 tip on a $117 dollar bill. A great end to a wonderful day in Tallahassee.”

“This is my favorite coffee and tea place in town. I had gotten in the rut before PaperFox of the drive thru coffee experience. With PaperFox, I enjoying sitting down when I can with an actual mug and enjoying their artistic design on their coffees. They even spend the time to send you out with art even if you ask for your order to go. Though I go for caffeine, this is the only coffee shop that reminds me to slow down. The quality of the coffees and matcha is wonderful!The staff have always been friendly and professional. They don’t offer as many hours as their competitors. However, I think that is how they are able to maintain quality control and helpful staff.”

“Highly recommend Black Radish. My husband and I are in town for our anniversary and were lucky enough to find this vegetarian-friendly place. The atmosphere is welcoming and bright, the kitchen is open, and the staff are nice.We ordered the tofu lettuce wraps, bubble potatoes, and sweet potato flautas. Bubble potatoes are light and fluffy with a bang bang (spicy-ish) sauce, flautas were filled with roasted sweet potatoes, and the main dish - the lettuce wraps - were build your own with sides of jalapeno, peanuts, kim chi, mint, cilantro, and sauces. All were delicious!One of the owners, Matthew, stopped by our table to make sure we were having a good experience. Upon finding out it was our anniversary dinner he gave us a dessert of our choice! We had the peanut butter ice box pie - and it was light, airy, chocolatey, and the peanut was present but subtle.We plan to return for dinner tonight to try a few more dishes...and the carrot cake!”

“La Florida Coffee & Wine has a level of hospitality that is hard to find these days. Everyone who works here has a big heart. I get my iced soy latte in the morning and have a glass of Rose in the evening with a cheese board. Great for having a moment before going out to dinner with friends, for a caffeine pick me up in the afternoon or getting started in the morning with some yummy quiche.”

They had a bunch of ladies in there with red hats on, and they were funny too. “I've had the opportunity to be at Paisano's a couple of times, and the level of quality is unmatched. I've tried a couple things on the menu and I've never been disappointed with my decisions. It's always a relaxing atmosphere; never too loud or sounding like a library. Even when they were first open, the service itself seemed as if they had been open for a dozen years. I have yet to be disappointed and look forward to the next opportunity I get to return.”

“Prior to this last weekend I've only ever ordered takeout here and I was pleasantly surprised dining in. Typically I order the sushi lunch special which comes with 3 rolls, soup & salad for a pretty fair price. I came in without a reservation on a seemly busy night and was seated immediately, I also placed a sushi order despite being seated for hibachi. The steak was tender and the rice, noodles, veggies were all great, it wasn't overly salty or oily. The hibachi chef wasn't very talkative but he did offer to squirt sake in any brave diners mouths which was comical, he was willing to make adjustments to peoples orders too. The inside was cute and clean so no complaints here, I would definitely return as it's much better priced than other hibachi spots in town.”

It’s not easy planning for an event out of town, but for less than the room fee of another location, we were able to have a delicious meal, gaming and bowling. It was a great evening of celebration. The food was plentiful and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. We enjoyed sushi, salad, egg rolls and a taco bar. “Highly disappointed, my first time ever with a complaint which I never said to anyone. I walk in I’m the only one there at @ 6:40am. They are making a to go order. The waitress never said hi or anything. I set there for 10 min before the cook turned to me and said what you having sir. I gave my simple order and he started to cook it. He finished cooking it and he handed it to me. Finally the waitress ask me what I’m having and I told her waffle, Bacon, coffee with cream. She brings me a cup of coffee but no creamer. I ate half of waffle and I finally got the cooks attention to bring me the creamer. She never came back for a refill. Finally I gave up and paid the bill and handed the cook a $20 tip for a $10 meal and he said thank you. Thank you, cook to the rescue. He knew I was not happy.”

“Best burgers anywhere. On a visit in July of 2022 I found it to be very fast very clean and well staffed. I had the number 22 breakfast. It was as good as I have ever had. Fresh and hot including the hashbrowns. I highly recommend the thomasville road store. An April 2024 found great service with an unbelievable fast service. I filled my drink and they were bringing it to my table. I have only had service this fast once before and that was 2500 miles away at Mary Brown's in St John's Newfoundland. I would suggest you try both to compare and Contrast.”

I am a green tea drinker and the restaurant did not have green tea, but she did and she gave me a bag. That first trip was particularly stressful for me, but her kindness meant so much. She did not know how much she was appreciated.”

Typically I order the sushi lunch special which comes with 3 rolls, soup & salad for a pretty fair price. I came in without a reservation on a seemly busy night and was seated immediately, I also placed a sushi order despite being seated for hibachi. The steak was tender and the rice, noodles, veggies were all great, it wasn't overly salty or oily. The hibachi chef wasn't very talkative but he did offer to squirt sake in any brave diners mouths which was comical, he was willing to make adjustments to peoples orders too. The inside was cute and clean so no complaints here, I would definitely return as it's much better priced than other hibachi spots in town.”

“Tried this place with my family as they recently opened this location. We had three 10” pies as well as garlic knots. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. My father-in-law’s pizza got caught on the chains in the oven and had a huge hole in it. Not only did they come out and tell us, but also made his pizza again AND gave us a complimentary order of garlic knots for the inconvenience. All of the staff was so polite and courteous, it felt like we had been there many times before despite being our first time. I would HIGHLY recommend this location and WILL be returning every trip to Tallahassee.”

“This is a wonderful locally-owned spot located in Railroad Square. I thought they just did water ice, so I although I knew about them, I had not been yet. But then I realized they have a full menu and since I am a sucker for chicken cheesesteaks, I had to check them out. The food is fresh and prepared to order and the wait is definitely worth it. I paired my cheesesteak with their fried pickles, which were lightly breaded and perfect. I added one of their Pucker Punch specials, which pairs lemonade with your choice of water ice flavors (I went with mango). It was very refreshing and before I left I grabbed a pine colada version for my hubby (who said it was delicious) and added some blueberry water ice scoops to what was left of my original drink. The staff was super friendly and working diligently to get everyone what they ordered as soon as they could. I will definitely be back!”

I like the atmosphere because it's cozy on the inside and then they have the outside area where you can enjoy a nice cigar while you sip and watch TV. They have a killer selection of top shelf and hard to find liquors, even saw Pappy up there! Looking at their menu, there's something for everyone in there. I started by trying the Boulevardier because the ingredients seemed interesting and I've never had one before. It was ok and a little tart, so I moved on to the Old Fashioned. It was pretty decent so I decided to try one more drink before sticking with the Old Fashioned. One of my friends tried a Black Martini so I asked our server for one. I swear that was the best Martini I've ever had so I stuck with those for the remainder of the night. I wish this place had food options because you need something to soak up those tasty beverages they serve. The great thing about this place is they allow you to bring something to eat with you or you can have it delivered. We had a blast inside the establishment and outside in the lounge area. I'll definitely be back! The service here is top notch too!”
“We have used Proof Brewing Company as a private event venue for our company parties for as long as I can remember. I cannot say enough extraordinary things about the venue and the people. The venue is expansive, and offers lots of nook and crannies to setup different things. The bank of high-top bar tables when you first walk in provide the perfect location for your welcome information and giveaways, the area with couches and coffee tables is great to setup a little area for the kiddos, and the outdoor patios (with heaters for those cooler nights) are outstanding. We host with an open bar, and there is not a guest request the bartenders have not been able to accommodate over the years.The food is incredible! Our guests all expect to see burgers and French fries, but Proof’s catering menu rivals the best catering companies in town! From house pimento cheese with porter braised candied bacon and green onion in a mini phyllo cup, to sous vide garlic baby octopus. Every bite is amazing, and the food is attended by a team who keeps it stocked and fresh at all times. For the first events we were afraid to order some of the cold seafood dishes like oysters, ceviche, and shrimp since we used to work for catering companies, and have high standards for food safety and the presentation. Let me tell you… the kitchen team is trained well, thoughtful, and over-the-top accommodating.Overall, Proof’s communication and organization leave nothing to be desired. We used to purposefully change venues for our events to other local restaurants and bars, but have not done so since the first time we hosted at Proof Brewing Company. She not only delivered the missing sandwiches herself (after we told her we can’t leave to go pick them up) but brought 5 milkshakes with her to make up for the mistake. I never ate here but I love seafood, so I asked for her suggestion. Which she suggested a special called the jingle box. First , great suggestion it was so delicious. The snow crabs were succulent, and I got to say the added on seafood rice and broccoli were great as well. The wait was a little longer than other places I’ve been too but I did see everything was cooked fresh so it made sense. Will definitely be going back, the customer service and food quality was excellent all the way across.”
“Generally one can get in and out of here for a quick lunch. We ordered, ate and exited in 30 minutes. We ordered a 6 shooter, which was tasty. I didn't care for the pickles, found them a bit too sour, but the jalapeños gave a nice kick. The inside was comfortable and not noisy, so conversation was easy. Silly, maybe, but my favorite was the tootsie roll treats!”

“Tried this place with my family as they recently opened this location. We had three 10” pies as well as garlic knots. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. My father-in-law’s pizza got caught on the chains in the oven and had a huge hole in it. Not only did they come out and tell us, but also made his pizza again AND gave us a complimentary order of garlic knots for the inconvenience. All of the staff was so polite and courteous, it felt like we had been there many times before despite being our first time. I would HIGHLY recommend this location and WILL be returning every trip to Tallahassee.”

“We were in town visiting our daughter this weekend and a large group of us dined outside last night at Cancun’s. I accidentally left my purse under the table and didn’t realize it until we made it to our next destination. I went back hoping it was still there by some stroke of luck and the employees had saved it for me behind the bar. It had several hundred dollars worth of cash and gift cards in it, and all was intact when I got it back. I’m so appreciative of your honest staff. Our waitress was adorable and very friendly and our food was good. Thanks SO much!”

“Pretty cool service. The workers at the window are usually nice. I typically get the big fish meal. Sometimes I get cold food here, but recently they began making my fish meal fresh without me asking. Only downside is that it takes a little minute so you have to pull around and park to wait, but the wait isn't horrible and they bring it out to you so it works. “This Tallahassee, Florida store seemed more interested in the drive thru and delivery orders than the customers that took the time to come inside. I waited at the counter with no one else in line for nearly 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me and asked if I needed help.Also, it's no wonder that they're drive thru speeds are legendary. They will not put any condiments on your sandwich at request. So, how safe is that for single drivers to negotiate packets of mayo and such. They can't stay in the drive thru lane. Rarely is there available parking to go to. So, they have to apply it on the fly. Not good safety practice for your customers Chick-fil-A.”
“Had to go find my waiter to take an order, never came back to refill drinks, I had to do it. Brought my boyfriend's food out and sat 20 minutes without food, and watched everyone who came in after us get theirs.....completely lost my appetite and just canceled it. Talked with a manager who just made excuses for the kitchen without trying to correct it. When they finally brought out my canceled order, it had the wrong dressing for the salad anyway. Waiter never came back once to see if we needed anything but was seen at other tables multiple times. So disappointing. Jessica needs retraining bad.”

“Delicious food, friendly staff, and perfect coffee.I was greeted as soon as I entered, and the baristas were great as I asked menu-related questions.The atmosphere inside the café was really unique - the corner location for the shop definitely makes this one of the more visually beautiful coffee shops in Tallahassee!A little difficult when it comes to parking, but not too bad at noon on a Thursday.Parking: Limited parking space, and a little difficult to navigate in and out of the lot. Anyone used to Tallahassee's Midtown knows how it is, though.”
“Great new place! I stopped in on a cold day for some pho. I like my pho like I like my women... hot, fast, and rich. The combo pho ticked all three boxes for me. I like a variety and this came with all the good stuff. Everything was new and clean and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this place. They have bubble tea, poke bowls and a bunch of other stuff. I will be back to try new things soon and will update my review.”
“We stepped in for a cocktail and a light dinner around 8:00. It was a bit late but we were in need of something light. Great atmosphere. We split a wedge salad that was perfect. We also split the filet which was amazing. Best filet I've enjoyed in quite some time. Enjoyed a Star Lord cocktail and coffee to wrap things up. Our waiter had such a great attitude and friendly demeanor that I gave him a $75 tip on a $117 dollar bill. A great end to a wonderful day in Tallahassee.”
