“LEGIT Authentic Mexican food! Unbelievably good! The quesabirria is the best I've ever had, the carnitas are fantastic, the beans and rice are on point and it's very reasonably priced. Every single thing we've tried has been *absolutely excellent*. We just moved here from Colorado and it has been very difficult to find great Mexican food in Tallahassee that lives up to our high standards, but people, let me tell you: THIS IS THE PLACE.“
“This was a much needed meal after a LONG drive. It’s a super small little joint but they accommodate quickly even when it was full. The food was all outstanding from the very first bite to the cleaning of my plate. All of my family members left very happy.Kid-friendliness: They had boosters for small children.“
“Absolutely loved my time here, from the food, to the service, and the atmosphere. I got the chicken quesadilla along with a taco, and my boyfriend also got a quest with chicken and a side of chips and gauc. 27$ for all of that, amazing cost! Parking was a bit difficult to find and location is weird it’s next to a circle k, but the location itself was nice, cool decoration, nice little salsa bar. Service was good, man was kind and our food came out within 5-10 mins, and there were a few orders ahead of us. Best taco truck food I’ve ever had!“
“The best Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee! The service is incredible, everyone is so kind. The nachos are the best I’ve ever had. Reasonable prices and great portions. I love this place ❤️Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan/vegetarian are clearly labeled on the menu“
“Good bar/pub? Obviously geared toward an older crowd (closes at 10) but has free darts and other games. Beer selection is robust and good pricing.I only tried the pretzel bites and although they were good it was a tiny portion, maybe like 9 miniscule bites. I would have been better just getting the full pretzel for a dollar or two more .“
“We usually dine here when we're in town visiting. Have never had a bad experience whether dine in or take out. Our party of seven dined in this time. It was late afternoon on a Sunday. We had the venue to ourselves for a bit. Jay (I think that was his name) was our server. He was very personable and attentive! All of our meals were tasty and arrived as ordered. We appreciated the round of chips and salsa for the table! The bathroom was clean and adequate. They have a small private dining space for groups. Look forward to visiting again on my next trip to Woodville!“
“Oh wow! I've been back for 1 1/2 years and missed seeing Cinco De Mayo Mexican Restaurant on Yelp. My loss. I've been hitting those other restaurants closer to my home, I'll be making the drive to Mahan from now on. The ambiance was great. Nicely decorated AND CLEAN!!! Did I mention it's CLEAN. What a nice surprise to walk in. The wife and I were met as we walked in and seated immediately. As soon as we sat down our drink order was taken. The servers English was about as good as my Spanish, and I had some questions about the Chili Relleno's. So I asked the guy behind the bar, who happened to be the owner. He answered all my questions. Now I'm a big lover of Chili Rellenos, but this was my first visit, so I went for a combo; chili rellenos, enchilada, and taco. The wife went with her quesadilla. All of them were delicious!!! But I have to say that's was the best chili relleano since leaving San Jose CA. Next time I want to try their Tamales, of course with a Chili Relleano. 4 stars on the first visit. I want to try a margarita next time. Best authentic (USA) Mexican I've had in such a long time.“
“i was having a rough day today and my host Rilyn just made it better. She greeted me with a smile, asked me how my day was going, and explaining the menu to me with such confidence. I definitely will be coming back to this tasty place and I hope I have Rilyn again.“
“Food was delicious. Portions are really good. I got so full off of a quesadilla fajita. The horchata was so good and sweet. Although the place is run down and old and doesn’t look that good the food is really nice and filling. Prices are pretty good as well. The people were really sweet and had huge smiles on their faces. Will def recommend“
“Another hidden gem in tallahassee. Great food for a good price.Between El Tio's truck and San Miguel's, it's a tough pick who is best.A definite stop by if you want good Mexican food.Remember, if the outside looks bad, you know the food is going to be amazing.“
“Echalee is one of the best Mexican cuisine restaurants in Tallahassee. However, there seems to be a disconnect over the last year or so between the published menu and what is actually delivered. I often order a side of burritos which on the menu is described as beef, my preference. However, I am repeatedly delivered chicken burritos. Granted they are good but not what I ordered. Please fix that.“
“I had the best experience here recently. I brought a large group and, our waitress, Lissette managed it brilliantly. She took orders and organized them all with finesse and humor. The food was delivered hot and our drinks stayed full. I highly recommend them for making last minute arrangements for my large group and Lissette for her amazing customer service.“
“It's been quite a few years since I have been here, and I understand they have changed owners in the meantime. Today's lunch was nothing short of exceptional. The service was super friendly, the chips and salsa amazing, the tamales were some of the best I've had, and the tacos were fantastic. Th chicken tamales with green sauce were addicting. When you next come here, try these. A slight kick, but the flavor is wonderful. The red tamales were also good - nice and earthy! As for tacos, I had the following: Cabeza Taco (cow cheek), Tripa Dorado (crispy fried tripe), and Tripa Taco. Quite excellent, all around, but my favorite were the tripa tacos. I can't wait to go back, which is different from where I was when I left many years ago. This new owner is bringing some amazing flavors to Tallahassee.“
“THEE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TALLAHASSEE- word to me.I’ve tried every Mexican restaurant in town.I like a couple of other ones but PEPPERS - I had to ask for the manager and tell him I loved the food. Sometimes I feel like they all taste the same and nothing really stands out but peppers was so good, me and my girl went about five times so far. The first time, I remember, every dish we had HAD FLAVOR. I had the chicken soup, fajitas with the pineapple, rice n beans, etc, even the rice n beans I enjoyed. Highly recommend?.I’m getting hungry just writing this review.?Indoor and Outdoor seating?free chips n salsa?free parkingThis place is Crispy Kartel Certified “
“Today was a good eating experience. The queso dip as always was great. The tacos today were much much better than last time. Our service was good. My favorite part tho was my company at dinner. It's always a great time to catch up with a wonderful friend.“
“This was the second time we was here. Nice staff. Food was good in general. However, you need to know what to order. My seafood (shrimp) was very good. One of my kids got a beef dish. It was very tasty but it was too greasy for me. Small place, quite cozy, I like it. However, if you don't like cramped space, order to go instead.“
“I've been here a lot, and everything has also been superior to what I have had around town. I'm a huge burrito guy, and their burritos, empandas, and tacos always hit . Solid customer service even if you do not speak Spanish. The area is okay, you might miss it if it's your first time. But, after you have found you'll keep coming back.“
“I've had a really hard time finding food in this city I actually like, that changed today. The Iron Daisy had exactly the menu to satisfy my cravings. I had the Buffalo Fried Chicken Taco and it was amazing, I love good pickled red onion, and this taco had that, plus a tangy kick that was fun without being too much Buffalo. I also tried the chips and salsa which both seemed to be house made and were a great appetizer while we waited for the main course, my partner got the burrito which also was pretty darn good. The wait was a little long but the food quality was more than worth it. Will definitely be back.Parking: The parking lot only has about five spots“
“The best Mexican food I ever had! The service is exceptional. The menu is large and packed with delicious dishes. The alcoholic beverages are creative and tasty. I highly recommend the queso and guacamole dips! Large assortments of margarita flavors that taste amazing. The parking lot could use some work as it can be somewhat challenging to find parking. I do recommend sitting at a table with chairs rather that the booths as they are a little cramped.Parking: The parking lot could use some work to allow for more parking.“
“We really enjoyed El Viruleño during our monthly Friends, Fun, and Food Meetup. The restaurant, small and family-owned, welcomed our group of 10 with warmth. The highlight was undoubtedly the Papusas meal, our group favorite. Freshly made and served with beans and rice, it delighted everyone. Also, the Pollo Guisado —a succulent chicken leg cooked in a flavorful tomato-based sauce- was delicioso!. We appreciated the option to swap beans for fried plantains. The friendly and knowledgeable server made our dining experience even better, and we enjoyed exploring the updated menu (as of Feb. 24 see Photos) with its periodic changes. One delightful surprise was the chance to practice Spanish as some Specials lacked translations.Overall, El Viruleño offers delicious Salvadorian & Central American cuisine in a cozy atmosphere.. We highly recommend checking it out!“
“Incredible service! Staff is quick to accommodate and recommend dishes. The food is amazing and excellent every time we come. Very dog friendly establishment. The only issue I have is with the alcoholic beverages as they are very strong but the servers are always sweet and quick to have it remade for me.“
“I highly recommend that you stay away from this establishment. After being a regular customer for years, I was turned away rudely a full hour before they were supposed to close. I mentioned that them deciding to close an hour early and affecting my plans didn’t make me want to come back and I was told “OK, goodbye.” I have never felt less appreciated as a longtime customer. Correction…a former longtime customer.“
“There’s a reason they’ve been around as long as they have. Personally, I like their buffalo fried chicken taco better than Iron Daisy’s! It had a great flavor to it. Variety of choices for the salsa, and pretty good queso! Not too cheap, but not too pricey, especially for tacos like this. They aren’t huge, but they were tasty! If you go with a friend and you each want to try a different kind, one get the two taco deal of one kind and have the other get the two taco deal of the other kind! Pro tip!“
“My wife and I had a great time here Wednesday night. The food was fabulous and it is a great atmosphere. We ate dinner which was wonderful. I had the Texas Super Burrito which was delicious. Afterwards we played Mario Brothers and Uno while waiting for my daughter who had come for the weekly Dungeons and Dragons night. This place is truly a wonderful gem!“
“Went there about let just say 2013-2018 or something like that. I met new friends and also my mom works here before had a new job as well. Currently, it was the last time before l moved on 2018 of November it was 5 years ago. Currently make a visit sometimes whenever I coming back.“
“We used Lugo's Burrito to cater lunch for about 70 employees. The process was smooth and efficient. You can tell Lugo's Burrito uses fresh and high quality ingredients. They are very friendly as well! We will certainly use them again. Thank You Lugo's Burrito!“
“I stopped in today for my Mexican food fix. The chorizo queso was good with the chips. The salsa was great, as always. I ordered the three tacos - one of each, that came with rice and beans. The ground beef taco was good. The beef was excellent and the chicken very good. My eyes are always bigger than my belly so there will be leftovers. Saturdays they do not have lunch specials but I wanted the quesabrilla. It was good. Today I ordered an enchilada and taco (beef) with a side empanada, since I've not tried one here yet. I was allowed to have my well behaved dog on the patio. The service was good as always, even though I was outside. I'll come back!“
“Our waiter wasn't very good. He kinda disappeared on us. But the food was delicious. I got the steak taco salad, and they pretty much put a whole steak on top of it. My date got the street tacos, and they were also delicious. The corner they sat us in was very dark, so we had to use a flashlight to read the menu, but overall it was good.“
“The food here is amazing and authentic. I had the chicken fajitas and my husband had the steak fajitas. Everything was delicious and homemade. The people are super nice and helpful. Will be back here for sure. If you haven’t tried it please go!“
