Always a fun place to eat! The servers are very nice and keep the tea coming. The baby back ribs are always delicious. The smoked turkey and baked potato never let me down. Fried okra is a good way to start your meal- and if you have room for dessert, the banana pudding. Suggestion- bring back the peach cobbler! I’m fortunate that I have 3 Sonny’s near me, and I frequent all of them.
I eat Sonny's BBQ at least two to three times a week. I have been eating Sonny's BBQ for well over 30 years and have eaten in Sonny's in Kissimmee, Gainesville, Lake City, Tallahassee and Marianna. The Sonny's on North Monroe Street in Tallahassee has always been my favorite. It always has the most friendly staff. Always ask if Wendi is working because she is one of the very best. In town on a overnight stay at the Clarion across the street . Saw the restaurant and ran across the street to check it out. Soooo awesome!!! Food was great but Wendy our waitress was so friendly and the hostess ( not sure her name ) was awesome too. I reckon it was a great time !!!!
