The establishments decor is Caribbean and military support. The chef is top notch, an absolute hidden gem. The quality of food and flavors are unlike anywhere in Venice. “Great meal from start to finish! Our waitress, Marina, was very attentive and pleasant. Grilled Cesar salad was fresh and crisp and had just enough char for taste. “Well today’s second visit is a reminder that I needed to write a review. My second time having Ann Marie as our server and its still 5+ star service she delivers. She is so friendly and attentive.The first tine I visited was because of my Get Upside APP offered 6% off. I didnt tell my bf thats where we were going. Well when we pulled up , He said “ oh this place? me and the neighbors came after a race and service stunk” Well our visit together with our grand daughter changed that . Ann Marie was our server, She was excellent and what we thought were going to be pricey loaded Bloody Marys were delicious and affordable. We enjoyed our breakfast very much.Todays visit was no exception, I was so happy to get Ann Marie again. I got the usual sausage n gravy biscuits n a side of fruit and my daughter got the whiskey bacon benedict and their special hash browns . “My friend whose been here before suggested that we go for our girl’s night out. I’m hlad we did. What a fun atmosphere and the owner is wonderful and conversational.The food choices are good ol back in the day comfort faborites. Turkey Tetrazinni, Shepherds pie, Chicken corfon blue, stuffed sweet peppers .Alot of the dishes if not all are made to order. I had the chicken enchiladas and my friend had the stuffed peppers. Both excellent plates. They had 3 featured wines that evening. The owner suggested the most affordable one( could have been the opposite) It was excellent and they had a special, second bottle 1/2 off if we wanted.A great visit, I really enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and my company. We were able to stay past closing and chat while they were cleaning. This is a very popular restaurant. Not sure if its wise to go without a reservation, They open at 4:30 and last seating is 8 pm .“
“There's certain restaurants that you absolutely treasure, this is one of them. You almost have to know that this place exists and when you do...you'll be there 6 days a week ordering a sub for lunch. Ive tried so many things on the menu and i am stuck deciding which one is the best. Its too hard!! The owner is the chef and is super passionate about making sure you have a great tasty and delightful sandwich. If i could give more than 5 stars i would. Some of my favorites are steak and cheese, pepper and egg, and tuna. I also would like to comment about how nice the staff is. They all are such nice people and go out of their way to make sure your order is complete and everything from the simple things like napkins are in your to go bag! “We had a hit and miss experience at the Shamrock Cafe. Our service was great and we enjoyed our time.With our food, we had both good and bad. The meatloaf was average at best. The scallops and shrimp had a distinct taste that we were not fond of. We can see others lining it though. The prime rib was very good as were the salads and mashed potatoes.Overall, we spent about $120 for 4 adults and a child. With a bunch of other places to try, we probably won’t be back in a while but it is worth a try if you are in the area especially because the service was very good.“

I called in the first time and was placed on hold for two and a half minutes before I hung up and decided to call back and was immediately placed back on hold again for an additional 5 minutes before my wife called in and was able to immediately place an order over the phone while I was still on hold. We would have placed an order online but the selection of customizing our order was not available.“

Their menu is very loaded with the Memphis dog, the Chicago dog, the mac and cheese dog, and too many others to list. They also have barbecue. Very good barbecue. I tried the brisket bowl with my choice of sauce. The brisket was sliced thinly and was very juicy. The brisket and the rest of the bowl were quickly consumed. The sides are awesome too! I can recommend the tots,the coleslaw, the red skinned potato salad, the baked beans, the cornbread. Everything I have tried here has been awesome. The next item is for the adults only. They have a beer wall! They give you a card that unlocks the beer and you can sample to your hearts delight!! The staff are excellent and they are happy to serve you and are very responsive to your needs.“

I just had laughed out loud, however, when hearing every wait person stand there and complain about No cups, No knives, No forks...?? Yup. Been there! Poor dish pit person! They were super slow, super new, super swamped, or all the above..?In my day, we'd go help them, not slam them like that. (I feel as if a certain generation has not been taught Work Ethics.) Anyways. “I came here with the intention of ordering a burger. They had gotten good reviews and I wanted to try them out.Our server greeted us pleasantly and then made up a table of my wife's choosing. As we were being seated, our server let us know about the grouper specials. My wife and I both decided to have the grouper Reuben sandwich with tater tots. The sandwiches were delicious and I recommend them if you are in the area.When it was time to go, my wife asked for something other than styrofoam for the doggie bag and once again the server was very accommodating.
