“Just stopped by for lunch. We ordered a burrito with chicken and an Al pastor quesadilla chipotle with hot sauce and a water. It is worth the money! My burrito was big and all the ingredients were fresh and exciting! I even ate the radish and lime garnishes lol. And my gf says the quesadilla chipotle was nice and spicy and the Al pastor was cooked perfectly. We'd come back for sure. The staff were nice, patient people as well. I'll consider getting an agua de Fresca next time!“
“Wow! So delicious. This was our first time at the amazing restaurant. The food was great. The decor is so wonderful to look at .our Server, Jaidin was our server. He was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and more.I was a server for years until 6 years ago and I will say he is an excellent and price server. Jaidin is the epitome of what I would want my server to be.He definitely respects that restaurant well.Thank you, Jaidin for your excellent service, kindness and sweetness. It’s rare you see that nowadays so we are thankful he was our server today.“
“Love the food quality and the 'margs, especially during happy hour. But OMG, the roasted serano pepper ?️ on the combo plate was HOT!!! BETTER BE READY FOR IT. I know some people like it but wow. I love the food at this place. Some very different combos than most Mexican food locations. My favorite Mexican in “
“We were visiting the Venice area for the first time, looked up Mexican food and read the reviews for Tomatillas. We visited on 12-1-23 early afternoon and much to our surprise they were very busy. We ate in and our food was excellent! We both had the Junkyard Bowl. What made this place excellent was the staff! We asked if they were the owners because they both were working so hard and fast. They laughed when asked, but shared their names, Krystal and Ryan. We were quite impressed with their high work ethic and how personable they were with us and others who ate in and the drive thru. They made recommendations as we made our choices, put items on the side, Gave us 2 kinds of salsa to try. Basically bent over backwards to please. Try the Corn Salsa! (per his recommendation), I would go back just for that!Vegetarian options: There are all kinds of options“
“We ate here for tacos and enjoyed it. The tacos we got were 3.50 each. They charge an extra fee for credit cards so we paid cash. As some people said your bill can run up fast if you are not paying attention. I noticed flan was either $6 or $8 per piece as an example. The service was pretty fast and the restroom was clean. Most of the clientele are Spanish speaking but the staff speak English and they have menus In English.“
“I was on a mission to find really good Mexican food in Venice. This restaurant exceeded my hope because they have the one menu item that is seldom done well: tamales! Hard to say enough about their succulent tamales except best I ever ate. The rest of our meals were also outstanding. My wife raved about her margarita. Then, we capped it off with a good sopapilla with honey of course. The atmosphere was just right for us--clean and neat. Our waiter Sammy was a lot of fun and gave us great service. I'll probably be sorry I wrote this because they'll probably get real busy. . . but they deserve to!“
“Wow, this place has amazing food!. It’s been here for a while and I haven’t tried it out. Always preferred chipotle, Moe’s, etc. I was super surprised. The burrito was huge. The meat was tasty, they have a huge selection of various proteins, including several styles of chicken Price was reasonable even their hot sauce and add-ons were great. Definitely coming back to this place.“
“We ended up coming here after the other restaurants we checked out in Venice had a 2+ hr wait. We were seated immediately, and the staff were super friendly. We LOVED all the beautiful ambient lighting. The margaritas were delicious, and huge! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals - I recommend the enchiladas verdes. We’ll definitely be coming back when we’re back in FL!“
