So Disappointed to see Chad Thai close permanently..We were a regular customer & didnt mind the price hike which seemed justified con sidering inflation & quality of food offered. The owner was even tempered and always made it a point to greet everyone! Wish to see it reopen someday!

I really like this place. Unfortunately, as you can see, there is a note on the door as of March 28, 2022 from the owner saying that they are closing permanently due to an inability to maintain a profit in these crazy times

Great service, great food. I eat at Chad Thai at least once a week for lunch since I work in the area. Owner always thanks our group for the business, making us feel welcome and appreciated. Certain dishes will be spicier than others at the same Star (spicy) rating but that's just inherent in the way things cook differently. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

On a whim the husband decided on Chad Thai. As a world traveler and Thai food snob. I totally, judged by the cover. (My apologies) it looked generic. From the outside....let's say, I was so wrong. Place was empty at 2pm on a Monday. We ordered Pad Thai, yes you can easily mess this up. It wasn't screaming Bangkok. But it was good to go! So happy it wasn't dry. The Siam Wings, level 5 spice...my mouth is still burning. But it was awesome. Let me put ya'll on the potstickers (not typical Thai food) but the best DUMPLINGS in georgia hands down. You can tell they are house-made, cooked perfectly. Crispy bottom, steamed top, and the filling was juicy and tender. I could marry them!!! I'm deemed the dumpling/ dim sum queen in my family. Chad Thai, needs an award for their dumplings Oh and their coconut dessert, simply divine. I'm coming back for all the dumplings.

Yummy food. Super fast service. The owner has a great energy and is very actively engaged with his customers and serving them exactly as they desire/require.Great for allergies. They can customize the meals to exclude eggs. Also great for vegan meals. They have tofu and veggie options for the entrees protein.Tasty place! I will be going back.

Very casual atmosphere and not many patrons on Saturday lunch time. Against my instinct, I tried both Pad Thai and Phat Kra (garlic stair fry with shrimp). Both came out quickly and looked good. However, Patrick Kra was too salty, and Pad Thai was one of worst in terms of the quality of noodle and meat (chicken). My wife took out chicken meats. I had to pay $1.09 for a cup of white rice. I regret to add a tip upfront. Not planning to return to this restaurant.

My husband and I were SO excited to check out this Thai place based on their fantastic reviews on Yelp and Google, but the food was almost inedible and definitely not what we expected for Thai cuisine. We never waste food (we are both Asians), but we ended up throwing out the Phat Kra and the Basil Fried Rice because it was so bland and just plain awful. I am not sure how you mess of Tom Kha soup (coconut soup), but that was even terrible! We should have known that the place was not going to be great by the woman who took our order over the phone. She seemed disinterested and asked us how many different types of vegetables we wanted. We have never been asked that question before and we LOVE THAI food so we order it ALL THE TIME! We even went to Thailand for our honeymoon! We just moved to GA from the Bay Area so we might be food snobs, but I definitely would not recommend this restaurant if you like edible food.

I've been a regular at Super Games in the same parking lot over the past year and finally JUST stopped into Chad Thai for the first time on Friday. I can't believe I haven't been here before - I was blown away by how great the chicken friend rice was - had to stop by again the next day for lunch. I'll definitely be back - this place is great!

High quality casual dining. I read someone else's review that suggested the prices were high and I strongly disagree. Their food is higher quality than many fine dining Thai restaurants I've been to, it's only the atmosphere that's casual. The food is totally worth the price and honestly I didn't even think it was expensive. Three of us ate for about $40. It reminded my husband and I a lot of restaurants in Europe. Casual dining there is almost always a higher quality than that of restaurants in the US. I recommend this place.

I order from here every couple of weeks. Food is always tasty and ready when they state it will be ready. One of their employees, sadly I don't know his name, recognizes me when I come for pick up so I don't have to wait if others are ordering. The curry, pad Thai, and fried rice are great. The appetizers are also spot on. The fact I can completely customize my meal on their site is a massive seller for me, and they actually pay attention to what you ask for.

Fresh, hot, customized for you - sometimes the 3 star spice level feels more like a 5 and one time the fried rice was just steamed jasmine rice with soy sauce randomly thrown in, but most times this hits the spot when we are craving (not authentic) Thai food

So the funniest thing. I have literally worked across the parking lot from this place for over a year. And I just decided last week to finally give this place a try. And I went 2 days in a row. I was going to go back today in the snow, but it was closed (Sundays, womp womp). After going, I can see why the Alpharetta Fire Dept eats there every week (if not more!). They say something about a 600deg wok and make every item to order. I just need to place an online order and walk over when I feel like it, isn't that great??!! I have seen this place crowded as hell, and I have seen it empty (usually when I go, but my lunch time is usually late afternoon). One thing is for sure, there is a nice size menu, and some really good cookies and coconut fried pies. My first time, I went unoriginal and got the chicken pad thai with peas carrots and onions. You can get all sorts of veg, but honestly, I don't remember whats traditional and what is not. They have 5 spice levels (and after seeing some of my employees come back from lunch crying eating 5, I can't risk it during work- sorry! But, you and I both know I can handle it). I got a level 2 or 3. It was great, but that day, the coconut pies stole the show. I had never eaten anything like them, and I am not even really a fan of coconut! My firefighter buddy told me I need to get the pad se u (like pad thai, but replace peanuts with more fried garlic) with chicken and spice lvl 4. I got it with lvl 3, and the usual veg that I got last time. I also got a cookie too- which was also great, and also huge. For me personally, I liked the se u over the thai. I am craving it rn though, I can tell you that much! Now honestly, I have no idea the history of this place, but I know its been open for at least a year, and everyone I talked to that has been here has only good things to say about it. And everyone who I have talked to in there has been very nice! And don't worry, they are not limited to take out, they also do counter service as well. Expect about 17-18$pp with an entree, desert, and tip. I just can't believe I waited this long to eat here!

I just moved to the Alpharetta area from California and my family are out here visiting . We were in the mood for some Thai food so we decided to order some food from this place based on the reviews. Big Mistake. We all ordered pad Thai thinking "who can mess up pad thai? That's a pretty basic dish"..we were definitely wrong. Traditional pad thai has a sweet nutty flavor. This tasted like noodles, chili powder, and lime. Very odd. I've never had to choose the vegetables to put in my dish before and the spice level was wayyy too spicy. My mom and sister both got the level two and couldn't even eat it. Don't know if this is supposed to be a thai fusion or Americanized version, but it does not taste like traditional Thai food at all.

Food is good but there is no customer service. They lie and even threaten to call cops on customers who question. Been a customer of this place ever since they opened and have recommended several of my friends to this place. Here goes my long story. Had a take out order on New Year's Eve. Their online delivery service was not working today so had to order over the phone. When I placed the order, the lady took the order and never mentioned the price of my order nor when it would be ready and hung up. We usually get a lot of vegetables and used to be of no extra charge. When I went to pick up the order, the price seemed a lot higher than what I used to pay. Upon inquiring, I was told that if I ordered over 5 vegetables, there is an extra charge of 50cents per vegetable which wasn't informed to me when I had ordered. Usually the owner is in the place so I asked for the owner. Instead some kid showed up saying it's been like this for a long time and that prices went up due to Covid and then said this was changed 4 and half months ago ( which is not right since my last take out was September 25 and I have my online order receipt) then went onto give me 10% discount and that's the best he could do. I told him I was out of country for a while and just came back and had no knowledge of the change. I told him it was nowhere written about the price on their menu board. He said it's written all over the place and I asked him to show. He only showed me it was in his register nowhere else.I then insisted on talking to the owner. He claimed to be their son and immediately reacted nastily and threatened me that he would call the police if I did not leave in 2 minutes either without the food or pay for the food, take it and leave. That action was uncalled for. I asked for the owner's phone number to reach him which he refused. I unhappily paid for the food and then he threw the receipt on the floor in front of me.When I asked him what was about calling the cops, he said they are busy and don't have the time for my crap and that I was yelling at them.(I had my mask on) The food itself was fine. Thought it was more on spicy side for 3 star than usual. When I think of how they'd have made the customer happy, they could have offered to have the owner call me when he was available. I've talked to the owner chad and his wife before and they were nice people. I wanted to suggest the owner to fix their menu reflecting the extra charge for ingredients over 5 ., during the ordering process inform the customer how much the order costs, fix the online delivery system and not let their hot headed kid run their business to the ground. As much of a fan I was of this place, unfortunately they've lost me as a customer forever and will never recommend this place ever to anyone since they treat their customers so poorly.
