Really really really good. From our drinks, to appetizers, to our main dish, everything was absolutely delicious. Love the vibe and decor, also. Service was spot on and very knowledgeable. We will be back.
I was very impressed with the atmosphere and food at Lapeer. We started with the guacamole and it was amazing - it was so fresh and the chips served with it were SO flavorful. I am still thinking about those chips. We had the mussels and shrimp curry dish for dinner and both were delicious. The service was a tad slow, but our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
I love coming here. Great staff, atmosphere, and even better food!
Ambiance: 5 starsService: 5 starsDrinks:5 starsRaw Bar: 5 starsFood: 1 star. Out of the five dishes we ordered, we didn't have a single dish that was enjoyable. Our ceviche was too sour with no salt to balance the flavor. The curry mussels and seafood fried rice were too salty. Curry Shrimp: the shrimp was undercooked, yet way too charred. The curry was bland and the vegetables were undercooked. We really wanted to enjoy the food, since everything else leading up was perfect, but even if the food was half the price, we wouldn't have eaten it if we had to. I'm writing this review not to shame the restaurant, but with hopes that they would focus more on their food. The location is perfect, the restaurant is beautiful, and the owner is friendly. If the food was on par with everything else, it'll be the hottest restaurant in town.
Always a great seafood meal and cocktails at Lapeer. Beautiful bar and a beach feel.
Located in the busy, bustling section of downtown Alpharetta---Lapeer turned out to be the perfect spur of the moment spot for a late night meal---perfectly balanced, light and satisfying. The Ceviche with its robust tropical flavor was simply divine with its colorful combination of Kirby Cucumbers, vinegar, mangoes, vinegar that will knock your socks off. The Fried Sweet Plantains were lightly dusted with a Chili Powder (a food for the Gods). The other starter was a Smoked Fish combination with Saltine Crackers and a Home Made Hot-Sauce---6 months in the making---that made my taste buds do flips! The House Caramel Candy was a wonderful after dinner sweet treat! The decor of this new establishment in Alpharetta, has a distinctly Caribbean feel with its bamboo ceiling. I found it warm and inviting. Last but not least---Fransisco the waiter was instrumental in making this a memorable and splendid fine dining experience.
We loved the food and the restaurant was really nice. I got the island burger which was great but I tried the jerk chicken my wife had I regretted the decision of getting the burger because the chicken was awesome!
Delicious from start to finish, the quality of ingredients and passion for using them came through in each and every dish.
excelente comida y bonito ambiente
Let me make this cut and dry.
The food was absolutely fresh and delicious. Tasty calamari, wonderful scallops, superb steelhead trout. Service was fabulous, helpful recommendations, attentive and caring. Only less than positive comment is portion size was small to moderate. But we had a great experience overall.
This is basically the only restaurant my family and I eat at. It’s even my 18 month old daughter’s favorite too!
A evening out with friends at Lapeer ended in a disappointing dining experience. The service at this establishment is abysmal . Our server was inexperienced and did not know the menu . She had to go back and forwards to the chef to find out which items were gluten free . Our food order arrived in stages . Each person received their meal individually which meant we had to wait for 10 minutes between the first and last plate to arrive at the table . My husband had the fish and chips which he thought was awful . The hangar steak I had was decent and tasty . Our drinks order did not come as ordered . My husband had to go to bar to fix the order . I would not rush back to this restaurant .
This is my favorite place in Alpharetta. It has beautiful ambience, the service is top notch, amazing cocktails and a fantastic menu. I have been here several times and it never disappoints.
I went with some girl friends and had an amazing experience. Food was amazing. The ambience was perfect. Drinks were delicious. And all the staff was amazing. Will definitely be back!!
