Very good selection of sushi options. Waiter was very knowledgeable.Parking: It's located within The Avalon shopping center. There are multiple parking decks and lots. Can get very busy at times.

I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times, and their food is consistently excellent. The service is also exceptional, with the staff being highly knowledgeable about the menus. It is a must to try their Signature A5 wagyu dish and the spicy tuna box sushi

I popped into MF Bar for lunch. Sat at the bar. Although the waiter was very nice he was frazzled due to the 6 tables he had going all at once. The other fellow helping him kept wiping his nose with his wrist, not a fan when people in service do that. I ordered several pieces of sushi , salmon, salmon belly , toro and a California hand roll. The salmon was very good, small but tasty. Toro was okay , a little chewy. I wanted it to be more buttery and melt in your mouth but alas no such luck. The California hand roll was gross. It smelled and wasn't as fresh as I was hoping. Kindly it was taken off my bill. For 3 nigiri , the check was $43 bucks. High for sure considering the product. I LOVE sushi & having lived in Cali for 20 years I'm definitely spoiled but this product should be better in my opinion. The restaurant itself was a little dusty, not as tidy as I was anticipating. Won't go back.

My kids were in town visiting. I tried making a reservation online but it wouldn't let me so we just showed up. To their credit, they accommodated us. The Sushi and Sake were excellent as well as the service. Will return again.

Lunch with family members for daughter's birthday. Wife had never eaten sushi before but did enjoy her tuna roll. Takoyaki was very good, but I expect a serving to include 6 pieces as they do in Japan and elsewhere. I went with yakitori ( chicken and pork belly), which were good but nothing special. Solid 4* but pricy. We three only drank water and sat outside. Bill with tax and tip was $80.

The food we tried here tasted fine, but the prices were a bit high for what the dishes were. The takoyaki appetizer was over 12$ and only came with 4. However, the workers were really nice and attentive. Just be prepared to spend alot of money before eating here.

Great food! Great service. Don't expect to leave with your belly stuffed, but the quality of food is worth every bit. Very knowledgeable bar staff. Make sure to make a reservation. Not too much seating, but great space once you're in!

MF Bar is the ONLY place I'll get sushi. Since eating it the first time, all other sushi is inedible to me. MF is more expensive, but I'd rather pay a few $$ more for a delicious dish. They've spoiled me!

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with an incredible vibe and exceptional service. The staff were not only attentive but also incredibly professional, making our dining experience truly memorable. Tri, in particular, stood out for his exceptional kindness and friendliness. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable throughout our meal. Can't wait to visit again! Highly recommend!

We decided to try out this amazing gem on a whim. Our rolls and nigiri were very delicate, filling, and had a lot of finesse. I appreciate how everything is carefully thought out here - there is just enough rice on each roll, and they are packed with flavor. The music selection was fire. Interactions with every employee was very good. Our courses were paced just right. We will be back!

We had a reservation for Valentine’s Day, and chose their highest tier - the diamond menu. Boy! Was it a waste of money and evening! We were seated BY THE DOOR (for the diamond menu nonetheless).. people kept going in and out, it was cold and a few customers complained about the door being constantly opened. I approached the hostess and asked if they could put a sign on the door saying “reservations only” cause they just kept turning people around, they said they would, they never did. They didn’t care. Lack of care was seen throughout the whole experience. Nobody ever came up to us through the entire dinner asking how our food was or whether we needed anything, not even at the end. Many times we were sitting there with empty glasses. The appetizers started arriving 45 mins after we were seated, and that’s for a pre-reserved pre-set $400 diamond tier.We had people hanging over our food waiting for their tables in addition to being cold (which by the way totally killed the temperature on their expensive wagyu steak). At some point the employees had papa John’s pizza delivered, and the delivery guy spread the multiple boxes right under our feet. Here we are, paying top dollar for a supposedly romantic dinner, an intricate dining experience with papa John’s aromas spreading throughout the tiny space.Food was mediocre at best. I mentioned the appetizers did not arrive until 45+ mins after we were seated. The nigiri and sashimi were tiny, and not the best cut. We have dined at Michelin-Star (this one is not, but prices are comparable) sushi restaurants both in this country and in Japan, and never had such mediocre food for the price. I ordered uni in addition to the pre-set menu (that and drinks and the menu brought our check to over $500 for 2), and it was meh. They also skipped one of our courses (the sashimi course) thinking maybe we wouldn’t have noticed. The wagyu steak was…wait for it… chewy!!!! The crème brûlé for the dessert did NOT have the necessary burnt crunchy part on it, they forgot to torch it.We had dined at MF bar prior to this. Food was fine, service was always bad. But this lack of care and a very unpleasant experience sitting right by the door (for what was supposed to be a special night and a fine dining experience considering the prices) was what prompted me to write this review. For decent sushi in the area I would go to sushi Nami right around the corner there. If you want elevated sushi, I would suggest sushi Hayakawa in Midtown (he just got a Michelin star). The prices are only a little bit higher at Hayakawa, but not much, the difference in atmosphere, experience, quality and quantity of food is HUGE. The picture is of how close the people and the door were to me sitting there. I should have snapped a picture of papa John’s being spread right under my feet, but I was sitting there in utter disbelief, and forgot.

The service was not good, it could be that it was a Valentine's Day issue, but it was not good at all. We were not seated at the reservation time, and it was not even close. Half way through the dinner the waiter completely forgot about us, the kitchen was not prepared and completely backed-up. Overall experience was terrible.

We had dinner on Valentine's Day evening. The food on the price fixed menu was delicious. My only negative was a 45 minute wait even though we had reservations. I think the restaurant over estimated how quickly they could turn tables.

After visiting MF Sushi in Atlanta, this location was a little disappointing. The wine selection wasn't great, the service was so-so, the ginger salad was terrible (brown lettuce and overall taste was not great at all), and there was major lighting issues that caused a strobe light effect. The quality of the sushi was incredible and was definitely the highlight. So far, this is the best sushi we've found in the area (without going into Atlanta).
