I thought I was having a small, low key wedding of 22 (mostly NY family) and having Savory Gourmet cater (they're my fav Italian restaurant/ market) would be nice. Instead, Savory Gourmet turned it into a magnificent upscale catered event! Not only did Adam give me great advice on the menu, he delivered as promised and set up fast. Eggplant parm, pasta primavera, ziti, chicken parm, chicken Milanese, roasted Italian veggies, 2 salads and charcuterie. All were so good guests continued to get "another small plate" for hours. Also my gluten free family members were so impressed with their delicious meal they froze the leftovers to take on the plane back to NY. Yes, I said it. New Yorker's took Italian food made in GA back to NY! If you know anything about how Italian NYers are about their red sauce, you would impressed.Thank you, Chef Adam, Laurie and Carrie Robinson-Hyzdu for all you did to make my wedding guests feel as though they were at an upscale event.A gem like Savory Gourmet is difficult to find in GA and doesn't happen without many people putting in long hours. I huge thank you, to you and your entire team at Savory Gourmet for all you do! My only regret is that I wish I could give more than 5 stars! = )

Customer service was good but the roasted chicken pizza was not. The chicken was dry, the crust was doughy so seemed slightly undercooked, and there was a hair. I tried to reason that the hair came from me BUT it was under a piece of the chicken. A disappointing and pricey lunch that I just couldn’t eat. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to take it back as I had to return to work. I’ve heard great things about this place but I just had a disappointing experience. Do not think I’ll return.

The food is simply great! There’s a reason they are busy!

My and my mom's favorite spot for a tasty lunch in downtown Alpharetta. Everything I've had here is really delicious, I got the Manhattan Special sandwich today and will definitely get it again

So glad that Alpharetta has an Italian deli and it's within reasonable driving distance from my workplace. Wonderful selection of fresh foods (and plenty of meals in the coolers to bring home and heat up) Can't wait to try more of their sandwiches but definitely wish they had pasta e fagioli and some sfogliatella (didn't see any canoli either but I may have missed it)I had a half of a sausage & peppers sandwich and cup of Italian wedding soup.

Had heard this place was amazing, and it was better than that. We split a few sandwiches between us, and my favorite was the Italian Combo. It's easily the best Italian I've had in Georgia. Everyone here was great, too. We had the corned beef Ruben and miss Emily's chicken salad. Both were good too. For some odd reason one of my son's got a pizza instead of a sandwich. Pizza was good.

This Quaint shop is so amazing ! There drops is fresh and they also sell hand cut meats make goods and locally sourced sauces and jellies ! They also serve breakfast all day as well as some yummy lunch options and also seem to have something to fit most dietary needs . If your on Canton street try this one out for a sandwich shop feel but flavorful and filling dish .

A little gem in downtown Alpharetta. I grew up in South Jersey where fantastic sandwiches, especially cheese steaks, pizza, and pasta were everywhere. This has more of a New York slant, but that's definitely not a bad thing. Best cheesesteak I've found since I've been in Georgia. U have to try the Prosciutto de Parma, Italian Combo, and Ruben sandwiches. Pizza is excellent and very tasty. They have a variety of prepared meals that u take home to cook; eggplant parmigiana is really good. For a quick bite try the pepperoni pinwheels - yum. U have to try them.

Best corned beef sandwich in Atlanta. Real NY bagels and food. A bit pricey, but worth it.

The Savory Gourmet was recommended to me to cater a Welcome Reception. From the moment I spoke with Kathy until the food was set up and delivered, I was extremely impressed with the service I received. The food was excellent and received many compliments. Our transactions were all by phone since I live out of town.I took a chance and was greatly pleased!Thank you!!

Awesome and friendly employees and patrons, a little expensive but that's to be expected in downtown Alpharetta, overall I would definitely go again!

Fresh and delicious! I love to grab a soup & sandwich for lunch and take home beef bolognese for dinner. They have all kinds of freshly made take-home meals, charcuterie, cheeses, and lovely desserts.

The girls were busy with their thing, so the guys (Greg, Larry & I -- aka Mo Larry & Curley) set out for lunch in downtown Alpharetta. We had heard about The Savory Gourmet Market, located on Academy Street, just off the business district and decided to try it out for their sandwiches. While it pretends to be a deli, it is much more and upscale at that. You can dine in or take out N.Y. Style deli sandwiches, hot sandwiches, or gourmet salads, soups, pizza or desserts. There was so much to choose from. Savory even offered a half sandwich and cup of soup option. Greg went that route, ordering a cup of lobster bisque with half of a eggplant parmigiana sandwich on a mini ciabatta roll with sauce loaded with fresh Italian tomato chunks and covered with melted mozzarella cheese. Larry had an Italian sausage & pepper sandwich on a hoagie roll. The filling was sauteed with a bit of red wine vinegar and the sandwich was served with a small cup of spicy tomato sauce. It seemed that we all went Italian this day even though Savory claims that their sliced meats come from Katz’s Deli in Manhattan. I ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich served on the same ciabatta style roll as Greg’s sandwich. I was thoroughly imbued with the sauce which was slightly sweet but with a nice tang to it. We will have to return for their cold and “deli” sandwiches as well as their specialties in the glass case and dessert cakes. This shop also had interesting dry pasta, oils, infused vinegars, small China pieces and other things for sale as gifts. Food is brought out to you by the behind the counter staff, but you bus your own disposable dishes and cutlery after eating. This market/deli is good for a quick meal either in or out. The plates are moderately sized and will fill you but not overstuff you. Their breakfast menu is served on a Kaiser roll or bagel from Davidovich Bagels in New York. Savory has sides of latkes, knishes, and other favorites like stromboli. They also offer chef-prepared organic scratch-made dinner meals for people “on the run” that don’t have time to prepare their own. These dishes range from a short-rib ragu pie, to herb-marinated grilled chicken and gilled salmon over risotto. I was impressed with this relatively new venue. A Mikey used to say, “Try it; you’ll like it.”

We got a chicken Parmesan dinner for two to go, it was basically not edible. Tough, dry pieces of chicken. We cooked it like it said on the package, would not buy this again although I’ve been happy with other food items there.
