What an amazing idea for a restaurant, thank you for all the great wonderful years. We can't wait to see what takes the place of JCT

It will be missed. The fried chicken was a go to.

I've been itching to dine at JCT, especially when I heard it was closing at the end of 2021. I'll walk through the experience, we arrived and self parked with valet, which was super nice - however the restaurant validates parking. We arrived to checkin at 9:20 for 9:30 reservation for 3. The hostesses seemed preoccupied and dismissive which was super off putting- however one of the hostesses sat us pretty quickly. The establishment seemed pretty packed with large parties which meant a delay in service, the waiter came by after 13mins to take our drink orders. We ordered sparkling water for her table, a gin and whiskey cocktail. We also ordered the kale salad which I loved, however If you're not into tart things, I wouldn't recommend. We also ordered mussels for the table, however it was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The deviled eggs also lacked the flavor I was looking for. The bread service was nice, but we were told you don't get it until your entree comes out. It's complimentary, however I didn't know Thai so when I tried to order it as another app, the waiter was kinda snappy about it. For the main course, we ordered the fried chicken family portion and gnocchi- I'm not a huge fan of fried chicken but my party enjoyed it. The gnocchi was so disappointing - it was flavorless, a waste of a workout. Literally buttered potatoes - super disappointing. Cobbler was pretty good so I'd recommend, all in all this place was a miss for me.

I've only been here for drinks and apps before. We decided to come for dinner since I had an out of Towner. The drinks were incredible and the service was exquisite. I enjoyed the fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. Absolutely love this place!

Just really amazing food and atmosphere. Parking was a pain, I would recommend parking in the west side provisions deck and walk over. Fried chicken and the burger was great. The mussels were really amazing; and I like most seafood except mussels usually. Can't wait to go back

I've been coming here for a few months now and I was utterly disappointed with my experience today. I arrived at 8:30, didn't get seated until almost 9:00 and ultimately was forgotten about while waiting. The mussels as you can see in the picture, was watery as h***. The gulf shrimp was unseasoned and not that fresh. The drinks weren't good either! Hopefully they make huge changes going forward as the reopen in 2022. Probably will not be back until then. Save your coins, chy. My bill came up to $109 and I was sick to have to pay that seeing as though both meals came out disgusting.

My wife and I wanted to enjoy the JCT experience one last time before they closed December 31st. We are grateful to those working behind the scenes, and all the staff for making each and every visit, including our first date four years ago, a wonderful experience.

Solid southern upscale, surprisingly family friendly. Try the fried chicken, and make sure to ask for their homemade hot sauce

Wow. So long JCT kitchen. My last review here was over 10 years ago. I've been back countless times, and enjoyed it on many occasions, but my final meal there? Total meh. It's a good thing that they're switching things up and closing because it's so not delectable or delish. First thing, the bar situation was horrendous. I'm a fan of a well made cocktail, and sorry, if that's what you like, you won't find them at JCT Kitchen. My friend and I started with a "pair of thieves" sounds like a warming spicy mix of pear, ginger, rye etc....but it was completely flat, just a sour spiked lemonade. Not even bright citrus or zest, zero hints of fresh citrus, more like someone had poured in bottled lemonade, a splash of bottled lemon juice, splash of brown liquor and poured it over ice. No thanks. We asked our neighbor about his drink and he was like "...you know, it's just not very good. Too sweet, and despite this whole piece of rosemary, I'm not getting any of that...yeah, I don't recommend this." So next up, I tried a "voulez-vouz", which my server had called a "blackberry Manhattan" but was actually just a very watered down something, over a cube of stale ice. This drink literally tasted like someone had set out rocks glasses at the start of service, put square ice cubes in them and when orders came in, drinks were just poured atop the melted ice. So that was that. Oh...my friend had a "Magic hat" ( I think ) which sounded like a nice mix of tequila, sour orange, squirt and hibiscus...but nope. Just a weird oddly saline and sour mess. Flat. Zero citrus. Avoid. Maybe just get a beer or have wine. On to the food. Truffle fries remain delish, a messy vat of fried potatoes and Parmesan, can't mess that up. Signature deviled eggs, meh. Looked beautiful, lacked salt. I think at this point I wondered if maybe I had COVID because everything I was eating was just so meh. I had the schnitzel, which was a huge huge huge portion, literally falling off the plate. The caper mustard sauce didn't add much flavor, it just sorta made the top of the dish look wet and soggy, despite the overall crispy fry. I took it home because it was huge, but I'm already thinking I'll have to jazz it up with mustard or maybe just make some Japanese curry to go with. Either way, it needs help. Friend had the day boat special which was steelhead trout with whipped potatoes and olive sofrito. It was good. Dessert. Wow. Hate to be like this, but yes...another fail. Banana crème brûlée? Omg such sadness. Imagine a crème brûlée that hasn't been topped with that fantastic carmelized sugar but instead has a half a banana on top, covered in whipped cream and topped with stale hunks of something that might have been crushed cookies and nuts, maybe? It was not delightful. At all. I had the chocolate tart with tahini ice cream and it was nothing to get excited about other. Very standard fare, tasted like chocolate. Zero tahini detected. As we paid our bill I said, you know, we might have done better just lighting 90 dollar bills on fire in your yard. Tragic end to an era here if you ask me. Oh should you go here, get the code at the hostess stand for parking so you can be validated via ParkMobile. That's one thing done right, even though it's a total pain in the a***

Server was rude. Didn't bring my wife the drink she requested & didn't bring my father-in-laws drink until he asked. We were told we couldn't get rolls before our entrees arrived, but saw others receiving rolls we'll before their main course came.

Came here with my fiancé to celebrate our engagement. We're absolutely gutted that JCT is closing because it's our favorite restaurant. Food and service is always amazing! Thank y'all so much for the memories!

We went to bid JCT a fond farewell last night. Our family and friends have many happy memories of this wonderful place, including hosting our daughter's wedding there. Last night was no less special. We enjoyed another amazing meal and had an equally amazing server, Justin, who will be heading to another Ford Fry Location, The Optimist. Upon Justin's recommendation I had the Day Boat special of the day, a deliciously prepared entree of steelhead trout. Hubby had the house fried chicken meal and loved it as much as always. Ryan, the GM, was also wonderful. His team was exuberant last night and it was clear that he loved this place and did everything he could to make it delightful, on every visit. We will miss this lovely restaurant and its wonderful waitstaff, kitchen staff, and all other employees who worked so hard to make this a beloved institution. I can only hope that Ford Fry's new concept will be equally well-executed. This will be big shoes to fill, and I hope JCT's loyal following will be just as enchanted with his new creation. Thanks for the memories, JCT! We will truly miss you!

We will miss JCT so, so, so, SO much. For 7+ years has been our go to for celebrations and everything in-between. We love every staff and every bite of fried chicken. Ford: pls bring the rolls to the new concept!

JCT never disappoints! The food and service are always spectacular and fairly priced! We'll be sad to see this concept close in a couple weeks, but looking forward to what the next restaurant will be!
