“My BF took me here for my 43rd bday and when I say they did me right!! The ambience and atmosphere was a whole vibe. Food was amazing. I had the lamb chops with the bleu cheese butter. It was Devine and melt in your mouth. Our sides were lobster Mac and loaded mashed potatoes which both were excellent. Pharroah was a great smooth server he told me to pick my complementary Bday desert and I chose the cheesecake its was Devine. Over all my birthday was excellent.“

“Came to eat here tonight with my parents, they celebrated their birthdays earlier this month and we decided to step it up a notch and go downtown for a combined meal this year.Valet parking only here, they work off gratuities so remember that as they run to get your car as it was pouring outside tonight!We were immediately seated at our scheduled time, in a table I had sat in before with coworkers in the corner. The manager heard me speaking about it and how I enjoyed that with my colleagues he offered to put me there once again. Super cool, great view of the dining area and very quiet in the corner. I think my parents really enjoyed that. Antrane was our server and she crushed it tonight. Came over and took our drink order then proceeded to absolutely kill it for me tonight; made me look like a good son!For apps- we went with the Wagyu bbq short ribs, and the Lobster fritters and split a wedge salad between the three of us, they also chopped and split the portions for us. I'm going to tell you that the short ribs were crazy good, melt in your mouth barely a need to chew. The lobster fritters were perfectly cooked, beautiful texture and flavor. Wedge salad was so flavorful with the homemade dressing and pappadew peppers- what a new flavor on a traditional salad.My dad and I split the steak for two (porterhouse), cooked to perfection. My mother got an 8 oz strip and she normally gets it cooked well done. She was mowing the steak down and we had two sides of sauce to try- Bernaise and peppercorn. Both were super flavorful and enhanced the steak (truth be told the steak is the star and didn't need sauce)As for sides: creamed spinach and scalloped sweet potatoes (full portions) charred jalapeños creamed corn and roasted mushrooms (half portions). We ate more than we normally would've, but it seemed too good to stop.They were super generous to give both my parents a complimentary dessert since they have back to back bdays in March. My dad took one of each sorbet flavors (mango, pear, strawberry) and my mother did the vanilla bread pudding with cheesecake ice cream. My goodness! After all that food and a bottle of wine, still cleaned the plates! It's unheard of in our family.On the walk out, I noticed Chef Rathbun and he spoke with us for a few minutes. Told him I'd been familiar with his work and watched him and his brother battle on Iron Chef. We have been to many steakhouses in Chicago but this one really is next level.My thanks to the kitchen and Antrane, and especially Chef Rathbun for a memorable evening. That level of service is hard to come by. Especially when it’s authentic and genuine. I was a little dressed down today but that didn’t change their level of service.There was a small mishap with my food, and before I could even say anything, the bartender was able to notice all the way from the bar and got the attention of the manager. “Been a frequent visitor of Steak Market since it first launched in 2021 and their service has never failed . It gets better everytime . Took a couple of my work colleagues here last Saturday and they had a time . I love that they have the dinning room and the speakeasy area . Food is affordable and the music is 100/10 !!! Love it !! That part is *chefs kiss* - and if this is a one-off experience for you, you will absolutely enjoy it!My issue lies with the constant changes and lack of reward for your patronage. My husband and I, along with friends and family, have been going to C Ellets for YEARS. It’s my favorite restaurant. It’s always my first choice for my birthday or any special event. We used to enjoy the happy hour specials on the patio for a long time. Over time, they chiseled away at the happy hour and eventually it was only offered if you sit at the bar on non-game days. Fine. Business is business. While it was disappointing for us, we still continued to come and pay full price for our favorite items because I loved this place so much.This week I want to book a table for 10 for my family. Most of our family is 65+ and coming from out of town. C Ellet’s now requires that a party if this size be booked as a private party in the club room with a hefty food/bev min and a 50% deposit. I’ve seen larger groups seated at the front tables next to each other before, but they told me that wasn’t an option. The deposit makes it awkward for our family to split the bill. I can see how it makes sense for a rehearsal dinner or business event, but we just wanted to have dinner together.Additionally, two years ago, my husband booked a table for 6 for my birthday and C Ellets simply gave us the club room without asking and without any money-up-front-business.For a 5PM spot, I just hoped they could be more accommodating or flexible.“

“Hailee so nice always kept a smile on her face never irritated. Food pretty good chicken tenders amazing fries the best I would come here again on the weekends and honestly would just get fries. No chicken tenders. I left no crumbs for real but the bad part was the butter butter the honey butter actually the regular butter is amazing on the bread OK I had to mix the honey butter with the regular butter, so be soft enough so I can evenly be distributed on the bread. “One of my favorite dinner spots in the ATL. It's the best wheeling, dealing and dining spot around. The bone-in filet is my favorite. The sides are amazing as well. A 'must have' side is the hash browns...definitely more than enough to share with 3 or more people. If you like a nice Cabernet Sauvignon, ask for the #1. It's numbered appropriately in my opinion. Save room for the mountain high pie. Ask for a steak knife to attack that generous slice of ice cream deliciousness. Sharable and you won't be sorry“
