Came here yesterday for lunch. Our server was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. The portions are huge, the drinks are strong/ tasty, & the prices are so cheap! Will be in our rotation for sure!

I have been here four times with my friend and every single time we go they give us a hard time about our IDs. We are both over 21 (both 23 years old) and have Florida IDs. I understand the importance of making sure that underage people are not served but when you are so weary of IDs that you feel the need to question legitimate IDs, it might be a good idea to invest in a black box. We dealt with the questioning several times, but after the most recent time--when our waiter took 10 minutes showing our IDs to other staff members--we walked out after our waiter told us he couldn't accept our IDs. Again, I absolutely understand how important it is to not serve people under 21. However, this behavior is just ridiculous, and I cannot understand why we keep running into this issue. I live 4 minutes away, and I won't be back. The foods fine, but it's not worth the hassle. I also want to mention that they took photos of our IDs, which makes me nervous as a young woman who now has her (REAL!) ID saved on an older man's phone.

Great neighborhood Mexican restaurant that’s my go to. Always have great service and food comes out quickly. We do a decent amount of to go orders too. Food stays warm for a bit.I added pictures with their updated menus because their online menu doesn’t have half of the dishes they serve.
Went there for lunch, began to sit and a roach crawled on the table before we sat. Will not be going back.

Taxco is THE Atlanta staple in the Chastain/North Buckhead area. Me and my fiance eat here atleast once per 2 weeks. The salsa is wonderful, soft chicken tacos are my favorite, and ask for double rice, always. The service is always incredible. Make sure you get the jalapeños in the cheese dip too! Very mild.You have to go to Taxco atleast once!!!! :-)
Like a previous review stated - this place doesn't have anything fancy about the service or atmosphere - but I personally love that about it.We're "new regulars" - most recently got the carnitas dinner and shrimp enchilada. Portions were generous and food was out of this world. I would look no further for authentic Mexican.

This place has been here 40 years and decorated once. It's one of the first Mexican restaurants in Atlanta. Get the chicken soup to go. What a bargain! Order the carne asada tacos & the gringo tacos. They are both delicious! Some things never change. Good for us! Thanks everybody @ Taxco! You've been an important part of our community for years. Great prices & smiling faces. I was a little surprised with the food, I had a burrito that was covered in a sauce. It definitely was different than the burritos is southern California but still good.

Taxco has great food. No frills decor but somehow that makes it feel like the food will be good before it even hits the table! Come here to eat, laugh, drink, enjoy. Very affordable and wonderful staff.
