My husband and I stayed in Locust Grove on our way south and the gentleman at our hotel front desk recommended The French Market so we tried it. EXCELLENT CHOICE! We shared the fried green tomatoes appetizer which was very tasty. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the five alarm cajun pasta both were spicy (his was extra spicy) and delicious!! I go here when in town for business. I always check out local restaurants and this is a unique/quaint place. Excellent food and cocktails. Shrimp and Grits are one of their specialties and they do them right!

Like the name a excellent New Orleans inspired restaurant. The menu is very interesting and suits all taste. They have everything from Shrimp & Grits to Hamburgers. The Staff is very helpful, fast and friendly. Good parking and nice ambiance. Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp Po boy, Red Beans and Rice were wonderful. The Chicken Salad also looked great. Easy to find on the main drag in town. enjoy
