I don't typically rate places a 5 unless the entire experience was top notch. This is an outlier due to how good the burger was. The service was fine, what you'd expect at a bar. The ambience, loud but fun. The sides (french fries in this case) were good, but again, nothing special. But that burger!! Wow!! So much flavor! So juicy! Cooked to perfection! If you're in Atlanta, this is a must!

This mid town restaurant was a surprise. Great food and decorations were excellent. Service was very good and prices were less than expected. Loved everything about it!

It may take a long time to get your drinks, but they’re good and so is the food. I love the environment here, definitely my favorite location. Staff could be a little better, but I’m sure working in Atlanta / midtown is rough so I understand.

First time visiting The Vortex although they were pretty busy the staff worked well together to make everyone's experience great. From the Security guards outside to the hostesses communicating to those waiting outside. Inside both bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Once seated our server did a great job of getting us are drinks and our order in. Again although very busy, received my food in a timely manner so kudos to the Chefs! Overall I had a good experience.

Decided to take a first timer here. She enjoyed it, I personally haven't been in years but definitely remember it was good. I had the black and blue. She had the well I can't remember but she liked it ?. Service was good and prompt.Only thing I didn't enjoy was smokers smoke right outside of the exit door and you can smell the cigarette smoke back Inside from outside. Other than that always good food.

Super cool, eclectic place! Neat atmosphere, great drinks, tasty food and all on a budget. Never have I ever had a grilled cheese sandwich quite like that, I highly recommend it!

Parking is a bit tight here. It’s a small shopping center, with only a handful reserved for Vortex. If you don’t get here by noon, good luck finding a spot! There are two entrances. Main facing street, and accessible ramp behind next to Vortex parking spots. Note: ramp takes you to covered patio seating.COVID prevention: Staff are friendly, and multiple times throughout my visit I saw employees sanitizing tables and high touch surfaces. Employees also wear masks.Food is very very good, with portions a lot larger than I expected for the price. I had the BBQ Mac & Cheese burger, with Dixie Wrecked Taters as a side. Both among the best I’ve ever had!Fried cheesecake is very good, too. Fried just right, not so crunchy it feels like it’ll cut your gums, but not soft enough to feel gross.

Went in for an early dinner. Not feeling up for even a single bypass burger, I went with the next-best thing: the zombie apocalypse.Toast was crispy, burger and bbq pork juicy to the max- texture adding to the flavor. I opted for the super-special hot sauce, which was totally worth the extra two bucks, scorching but sweet in just the right amount. No BS, only good times. Classic Vortex experience, 5/5.

The place is smaller than I expected, which is absolutely irrelevant as the food here is AMAZING! I ordered their three little pigs sandwich and was in love. The meat was delicious and juicy. I'm not typically one for bacon, but it was cooked just right. Their barbeque sauce is some of the best I've had. Absolutely to die for. Fries were crispy and cooked to perfection. We arrived early, like around 11:30-11:45am, and we didn't even wait at all. We definitely lucked out on that since there's always a line here. Will definitely return, no questions asked.

A must visit whenever you’re in Atlanta. Colossal burgers, tasty drinks, and decor you won’t find anywhere else. Their take on poutine is especially delicious!

First time in Atlanta and checked out The Vortex. Service was excellent. Our server was super friendly and working hard to make sure his tables were taken care of. He recommended trying a burger. So my wife and I shared a burger and it was tasty. The draw to this place is their crazy sense of humor, the cool interior and the giant skull door. It's a very unusual place and we're happy we checked it out.
