“This is our 4th time eating at Susie and Sam’s. We have had great food and service each time. The atmosphere is amazing and the owners are very welcoming to all. I remember eating at Marie Livingstons and the excellence has continued through the daughter. Please call for a reservation and enjoy a wonderful evening.”

“Very cool place in downtown Bainbridge. The food and service were great. I got Mahi tacos. My wife got sweet potato soup with a lettuce wedge salad. The fish was fresh. Best of all was the tomato pie.Parking: Plenty of parking, but you may have to walk a bit.”

“When the service is great I think it makes the food taste better. From the moment you walk in the door, the staff makes you feel right at home and they are happy to serve you. My server had my drink out right away and made sure it never went empty. She suggested the fried catfish and I went with her recommendation. I have not had fried catfish in years and it was gooooood!!!! Coleslaw and roasted potatoes accompanied my fish but there are several other choices. Really nice menu with a lot of variety. The establishment sits right on the river so it has a great view from many of the seats. Opt for the bar area and one of the high tops. You won't regret your visit here!”

“This place is great!We travel over 20 miles one way to dine and do so happily.Small country hometown diner. The wood and deer mural walls add to the no frills, but fantastic food feel.The pictured jumbo tenders are a go to!We thoroughly enjoy strawberry shortcake dessert they have as well :)My husband loves the brisket topped potato.The waitresses are good at what they do, the food is delicious and the lunch specials are very reasonable!”

“Quaint homestyle cooking. Cafeteria style. 1 meat, and 2 sides, plus roll or cornbread. Nothing fancy. But good food. Will definitely stop here if back this way.”

“Wife and I had the lunch buffet. Chef asked what we liked on our pie and made a half and half for the buffet for us and the couple that came in before us. Delicious! Nice local eatery that supports the local economy.”

“I was out for a day ride and decided to try this place. I like bbq as much as anyone, but was in the mood for a burger. I ordered that and some fries and found a seat. And waited while at least 4 other tables got served before me, even though I was ahead of them. I’m usually a patient person, but after that 4th table I got a little irritated and finally asked about my food. The server seemed a little put out that I would even say something, but hey, I’m hungry. The excuse was, they had to cook my burger whereas if I had ordered bbq I would have been served right away. Anyway, I got my food right after that, huh, and it was good. Maybe the fries were not as crispy as they could have been, but I ate them. Not sure I will go back, but if you go, be prepared to wait a while if you order something that has to be prepared.”

“The food is absolutely delicious!! Great price too. I wish it was more of a sit down and get served atmosphere bc the food fits the quality of a restaurant and I would pay more for that. I only put service at 3 stars for service as a neutral bc you don’t get served. Definitely recommend!”

“Restaurant bathrooms are always clean and spotless. Food is hot and fresh. My drink was ice cold. Definitely a 10/10. Most definitely will be coming back.Kid-friendliness: They love kids. Was very nice to my baby.”
