The best Greek restaurant in town and around for many miles! This is a review that has been long awaited and absolutely earned. Athens Kouzzina is a jewel of a restaurant that I have the displeasure of not knowing earlier in my life. Having gone to this mall many times and walking by it many times in my youth, it was only when I was in my late teens when my family and I decided to go try it out and, goodness was it a good decision! None of the other Greek restaurants I have ever been to have compared to Athens Kouzzina. They have that special cooking touch that others can’t replicate. The owner being Greek and well experienced, this restaurant absolutely earns its many accolades that it has won over the many years of its operation. They don’t win these accolades year over year for no reason. If you are in the area and want some really good quality Greek food, you cannot skip on Athens Kouzzina.Athens Wings 20/10 - May honestly be the best thing on the menu and something you should not miss out on. My family and I always get this on every visit! It is 100% the best chicken wing of any flavor out there. Not only are the wings fried to perfection, but they are also bathed in an exquisite, unique, and extremely delectable sauce. This special and secret sauce holds several spices (presumably Greek) and flavors that just cannot be beat anywhere. It is notable that there was pride and expertise put into this mix. This sauce seeps very deeply into the chicken and gives it just another reality of flavor. And to make it even better, they have this most delectable feta cream sauce to dip them in. This feta sauce is like tzatziki sauce but far more flavorful. This trifecta of impeccable food quality is irresistibly delicious and guaranteed to make your taste buds beg you for another plate. As you can tell from my review, it is one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth and definitely the best wings out there. If you’re reading this, stop what you’re doing, put your diet on hold, and come try these!Athens Platter 10/10 – A large plate of some amazingly flavorful ingredients. I have tried the gyro meat, chicken, and pork souvlaki and can say they all taste very delicious. My personal favorite is the gyro meat due to its deep strong flavor. I suppose you can say that most gyro meats come premade into restaurants, but I cannot comment on whether it is homemade or bought. Regardless, it does have a good flavor. The chicken has its Greek seasoning though the flavor does not seep deep into the chicken meat as I would prefer. The pork is the least flavorful of the 3 and has the same issue with the seasoning not seeping deeply into the center. Regardless, both still have good flavor and can be dipped into the tzatziki sauce for an amazing combination. I always recommend getting a ½ and ½ platter so you can try from 2 delicious meals. The Greek potatoes are seasoned quite well and so are the fries if you choose to go that route. The rest of the platter is a simple salad and pita bread but those are just to accompany the other delicious things on the plate. Mix all these flavors together or in a small pita sandwich that you can make, and you have quite a flavorful bite of food. If you want a pro tip, ask for the feta sauce instead of/in addition to the tzatziki sauce for an even better experience! You can thank me later.Mt. Olympus Nachos 10/10 – A true literal mountain of unique and delicious nachos with a Greek spin on them. This is also one of my favorite things to get here and is such a great dish to share due to its enormous portion. Instead of nacho chips, fried potato chips are used instead. These are showered with vegetables, tzatziki sauce, and your choice of meat. There are no other nacho mountains high enough to reach the delicious flavor on the Mt. Olympus nachos. The culmination of all the topics on one bite of that crunchy potato chip is truly out of this world as well.One last note, the closer you stay to the Greek food, the better. The food here is consistently good and fresh! Love the Mt Olympus Nachos with chicken. It's truly something you can't get anywhere else. Also great people watching if you sit on the mall side "patio". :)

11/1/23Again we had excellent service and great food.This time we were 18. The food was served on time and all received the correct food. This is one of the great restaurants in the area.A reunion lunch with 18 people.Jennifer our server was excellent. Food was great but the service was superior.Great job Jennifer.10 Stars!!!!

This place is the best.We have been local clients for many many years!!The food is delicious (try the Mediterranean Pizza, Mediterranean Shrimp Orzo, Calamari, Mount Olympus Orzo, Burger, Gyro, or liter anything!!).The consistency of the quality and taste of the food is always amazing.The owners and staff is just amazing and the atmosphere is always pleasant.I cannot recommend this place enough!!
This place is great. It is in a mall, but absolutely delicious. The food is better than mall quality. Service was great, and restaurant was clean. Chicken skewers were delicious, and the veggies were so good I ordered some to go.

I am a former employee of Athens Kouzzina and I’m also considered family to the owner and manager. But after what happened last night I am disheartened and must put my feelings aside and let the community know the truth. I moved away from Georgia but every time I come back for a visit I always make sure to pay a visit to Athens Kouzzina for what used to be very delicious and authentic Greek food. I have been away for 2 years since my last visit here and to Athens Kouzzina. Last night when I went to visit Athens Kouzzina and grab some what used to be delicious Greek food I had no clue about the news articles regarding their health inspection result being a 58/U in January of 2023. And I also had no clue that their current health score is sitting at a 77/C but I wouldn’t know that because they are still showing their previous inspection score of an 88/B hanging up on the wall inside of the restaurant. If I were you I would demand to see the current health score before eating here or don’t eat here at all. I ordered one of my favorite dishes to go last night…. The lamb shank and Greek angels. The Greek angels were good as always BUT the lamb shank was BAD!!! The lamb meat was different colors. It was pink/red and brown and was tough like rubber. I took two bites to discover the bad lamb meat and it had me running to the restroom shortly after. It is sad to say with a heavy heart that the owner/ founder George V. No longer cares about his restaurant and the manager Johnny is running this place into the ground. I will never come back to eat at Athens Kouzzina ever again after they betrayed my trust by hiding their recent events, news events and serving me bad food. At this point in time I don’t care how angry, mad, or how hard of retaliation I receive from George V. Or Johnny for publishing this review on google but people have a right to know the truth and after being served bad food I know that they don’t care about me or any of their other patrons at Athens Kouzzina.
Nestled in the bustling heart of a Sugarloaf Mills mall, this Greek gem across from the AMC theater offers a much needed getaway from the regular foodcourt. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I ordered the Veggie Pita with fries and barely finished the plate. You can expect a hearty plate and large portions. As a definite plus, they bring soft bread with butter before the meal. Impeccable service and a thoughtfully curated menu make this restaurant a delightful escape, ensuring a satisfying experience for both casual diners and enthusiasts of Greek cuisine.Vegetarian options: Veggie Pita

The service was prompt and friendly. The gyro was sliced thick, tasted bland, and was pinkish inside. The gyro wrap was falling apart and doughy. The fries were abundant but greasy and limp.

We showed up about 45 minutes before close on a Sunday. We ordered the wings(delicious) and the solvaki. The food was excellent, the portions were generous and the service was great.Highly recommend for easy, sit down, Greek.

Tasty Greek food inside the mall, conveniently located across from the AMC theater. I loved the falafel pita sandwich with Greek potatoes, which come loaded with feta cheese. Delicious! And enough to take home for a second meal. I’d definitely come back for another dinner if I’m in the area.
