Excellent food. Casual atmosphere. Clean.
This place is next door to me but the older location at Jimmy Carter is my spot. I've heard many customers and waiters say the same. I wish this place was better but I just make the drive to the Jimmy carter branch, You won't be disappointed there.
The Good: Tadrea! Our server was fantastic! Tadrea has a delightful personality and made our dining experience on Thursday evening a positive. She definitely should be recognized. The food is always delicious, generous servings, and presented well. The atmosphere is perfect. The Bad" We had made a reservation via on-line and requested to be seated away from the kitchen. We were seated 2 tables from the kitchen (sigh!). I even got hit in the back of the head by a server rushing back to the kitchen, with no apology offered. The Ugly: We arrived 30 minutes early from our reservation time to enjoy drinks at the bar. We sat there for 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. A bartender put menus in front of us, said she would be "right back". 15 minutes later she never came back. Our table became ready so we left the bar. This was a 25 minute sit at the bar with NO service. Shame on your staff! Your restaurant missed an opportunity to increase its revenue and the bartender missed out on whay would have been a generous tip.
This was 3rd visit to the Duluth location My friend and I were seated at the bar. The wait for food/drinks was slow. We were pleased with all that was served. I am writing this review to let other patrons to be AWARE of their bill . My card was compromised. Immediately, I began getting alerts on my phone for fraudulent charges. Thank God for the bank declining. Just received a call from corporate and the video was looked at, bartender did not copy or do anything unusual with my card. All the charges were at the exact time I was leaving restaurant. I will never patronize this location. The Jimmy carter location will get my business, where I have never had an issue. You may want to look at your bill very close!.
Celebrated our 9 year anniversary &was not disappointed! It was so good & a large portion. The waitress (shaundra) was on top of everything. The food melted in our mouths & was so flavorful. I love the outside atmosphere too, so beautiful.
Server was really down fo earth. She was awesome. Her name was Angel. Kudos to her. Great personality.
First time at this Pappadeaux, was a little reluctant but once I saw all staff had on mask, they were constantly cleaning tables and chairs after diners left their tables put us at ease. Our server Ted was excellent!! He made great suggestions, was very observant through our entire meal. We all had meals that we thoroughly enjoyed There was a group of patrons who were so LOUD the entire restaurant could hear them. Our food was great but having to deal with the noise was over the top unexceptable. Kudos to the manager who appeared to be handling the issue. It would be great to have one at least in South Florida...hint,hint.
It's always busy on the weekends with about a 2 hour wait, so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. We walked in and nobody was there to greet us and waited about 8-10 mins to be seated. We were finally seated, we ordered a water. We then began looking at the menu, which is not much of a selection. I thought they would have more options for sides and appetizers. I also think they need to incorporate some bread and butter while your waiting for your food. Also there was no jambalaya on the menu?????? Guess I shouldn't have assumed that. Our waiter Duke was nice but really blah... He wasn't very engaging. maybe a little customer service training. Our food came out not hot but warm. The fries were old. I ordered stuffed crab which was tasty and my chicken and shrimp were good. They had no problem replacing my old crusty fries. Ultimately I give it a 3. I expected better.
I came here with my family for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience! Beautiful atmosphere, clean dining area, workers in masks, and AMAZING food!! Our waitress Tianna was very attentive and did an amazing job! Pappadeaux is one of our favorite restaurants and we'll definitely visit this location again! My only complaint is that we made a reservation and still had to wait, even though it wasn't busy.
It's a pleasant place, the people who work there are nice and friendly. The foods are delicious. I would go back there in the future
Great food, awesome atmosphere.
They have great food and a great staff. We had a mishap with cupcakes we brought for my daughters birthday. The waitress Ashanti and the manager apologized for someone else’s mistake and made a big adjustment to the bill to make it up to us! We will definitely be back!
Was here celebrating my mom's birthday (this is both of our favorite restaurants).Yummy yummy food, great service. Still one of the best places to eat around town! They were very busy but bar service was prompt, food was fresh/hot and atmosphere was lively!
This is a place that is near my home and every time that I drive pass or attempt to go the parking lot is full. I finally stopped in to have dinner on a Sunday, we were looking a hour waiting list which is not bad unless you have not eaten in hours. The restaurant is beautiful, there is a patio with a fountain, a bar with seating for eating, a fireplace inside, quaint sitting throughout. When I finally get a chance to taste the food I will be able to give a better review.
I stopped here for a quick bite to eat. I am a usual at the Jimmy Carter, Norcross location. I guess I am accustomed to the treatment at that location being a regular. I felt the service was slow but I arrived at shift change and there was only one person working the bar. Shari was very nice. I ordered the new shrimp and crab pasta dish and it was delicious. I will have to remember to order it without tomatoes next time. All in all the food was good, but it's just not the ambiance I am used to at the other location.
