“It was my first time there. We visit from Florida frome time to time.My cousin, who lives in Monroe. Georgia recommended the place. And boy was he right? We were a party of 11 and everybody was just wowed by the food at that place. Congratulations to the chef and staff who did come out and ask how everything was, absolutely phenomenal place. There was another family with us also visiting from Florida and we agreed next time we're up in Georgia. We have to stop by Tin Plate again. Thank you for the experience”

“The only place I will go for a relaxing coffee in Covington. The decor and atmosphere lend a serene feel – a soothing oasis during a hectic day! I am a big fan that it is locally owned. Go when weather is nice and enjoy the open doors and fresh air. It took me a few tries to find the coffee I preferred - so don't give up! Parking is not necessarily convenient, but do not let that deter you from such a lovely experience and supporting wonderful people who seized the opportunity to provide our community with coffee beans that are roasted in-house!”

“The asada and chicken street tacos are very good. They’re a bit bigger than most street tacos, but that’s not a problem. 2 should be good for most people instead of 3-4 of the normal tiny ones.The fish tacos were also very good.The chunky guacamole, however was very very good, maybe even excellent. It’s almost not mashed at all and yet it was still very enjoyable to eat.We got food to go for 7 and everyone enjoyed it.”

The food was great, we wanted to have steak so the server was kind enough to let us know when the dinner menu started and even let us take our time sightseeing while we wait. The atmosphere of course was to die for. I'm a big fan of the Vampire Diaries series so it was incredibly beautiful like I expected.”

“Took the fam out for dessert after dinner per usual at Scoops, when we entered the store we noticed a little congestion at the front. Come to find out, another customer had thrown up all over their table, booth and floor. The male Scoops employee (Tall brunette) saved the day and cleaned it all up him self. I’m sure he was more than grossed out but he didn’t display that at all. He was so kind to the lady as well. Scoops has an amazing team of kids working for them… but that boy needs a raise ASAP!! ?”

“LOVED the cool vibe here! This coffee shop also pairs as study lounge and reading nook with live music sometimes too! Kaitlyn, a barista there, welcomed us with smiles and exceptional customer service! It was impressive to watch her, bc she had a line of customers and still kept her smile on while mixing up delicious coffee drinks all on her own! I will definitely be back!”

“My wife and I walked in and felt good vibes right away. We were greeted and told to have a seat anywhere. We sat across from a table of firemen from Covington. Always trust a place where the local first responders go. Other tables had what appeared to be regulars. My wife had a vegetable plate and I had a fried pork chop. The veggies were vintage southern with ham in the beans, etc. Cabbage was about as good as we ever had. The pork chop was lightly fried and tasty. Good iced tea as well. Will be back should we find ourselves in Covington again. Highly recommend.”

“I went to meet a friend who was just getting off from work so it was late when we walked in. The waitress told us the kitchen had just closed but one of the owners was working at the front and he became our waiter for the evening! He suggested mushrooms that were done in a brown gravy with cheese melted on top - they were DELICIOUS and I will have those again for sure. The salad was all fresh and cold. I got the peel-and-eat shrimp that night and they were cooked perfectly. I’ve had crab legs there before too and they were perfectly cooked! You can get just about anything - flounder, steaks, burgers, pizza, etc. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t good. It’s easy to stop there on my way home and either eat there or get something to go. It’s a family owned business that has been there for years. It has a great vibe and everyone’s always super nice! I recommend it all the time!”

“We stopped for lunch here. I had the BBQ pork sandwich with sweet sauce and Brunswick stew. Both were excellent! The stew is not minced up, nor is it like vegetable soup that some places serve. It's kinda in between. It was awesome! Im a minced stew person, and i still loved it. Just a heads up, there is no indoor seating. it's all outdoor and to go. We sat on the porch at a table.
