Had dinner here last night and the experience was great. My dinner was delicious and service was even better. Robert was our server and he was so kind and really attentive. My wife and I usually sit at the bar however chose the dining room this evening. Our normal bartender was not there and the last experience was less than stellar with the young ladies behind the bar.

Let me start by saying we normally like La Parilla. The food is consistently pretty good, and we never walk away hungry because the serving sizes are large. The chips are good, and I really like their cheese dip. However, last night's experience left a little to be desired. We made the mistake of having a party of 6 on a Saturday night. Two of our group even got there early to get our name on the waiting list. But, alas, we still waited almost an hour to get seated even though there was an empty table available. we were patient realizing that maybe they didn't have a server for that table. (Fortunately we like each other and spent our time chatting.) Finally, one of our party asked about that table and we got seated. (I don't think the host was very happy about seating us.). Our server got our drink orders and then we had to flag her down to order. (Again, not sure she was thrilled at having our table to serve. I promise we were nice and not being demanding.) We got our food - consistently pretty good. Our chips were from the end of the batch as most were small pieces. After spending $20 per person (including tip), and over two hours there, we left. I had to come home and wash all my clothes - the reek of the restaurant and food aroma had permeated every fiber and my hair. It was just too much. I don't think I'll be going back until it's warmer and I can sit outside, if I go back at all. I know this is a popular place, but I was not impressed.
We are here every Saturday. Just for Stefanie. She is just fantastic. A total gem. We sit at the bar. She knows our order right down to no cilantro, extra onions. She asks if we want to order right away or wait. We absolutely love her! She is the best part of La Parrilla for us!

Something changed about the Bar on Friday’s nights. It’s not the same at all. Service is different and it definitely is noticeable. The two ladies are slower and they talk so much, they even forget to come back and take food orders. The drinks are blend and it’s just not the same at all.
