This place used to be decent, but recently the taste and quality has been inconsistent. I had an upset stomach after my last visit there. The hygiene at the restaurant is also questionable. Do not recommend.
Excellent Indian Vegetarian restaurant in Mariatta area. In the past 2 years had varieties of foods from the menu and always yummy and very tasteful. Chole Battura and Veg Biryani are most favorite. Thanks for your excellent service!
Yummy food and excellent service !! Their Mysore Special Rava Dosas are one of the best !!!
One of the best restaurants to have authentic South Indian food in the States. We tried Ghee Masala Dosa and Paneer Chilly Dosa and both were amazing. We also ordered a Mini cheese uttapam for my daughter and she loved it.Cozy ambience, super courteous staff and great location!!
I’m from Orlando and came to Atlanta Georgia for vacation. Was craving for some Indian vegetarian food so I visited this restaurant. The food was really good and yummy. Must try Indian vegetarian restaurant in Atlanta. I and my family really enjoyed the food here. Definitely recommend this place
My family and I have been dining here for the last few years with good experiences. Unfortunately, my wife and I recently had to abruptly leave after being treated in a negative way; specifically, we were first seated under a roof leak. We were then moved to another table after we pointed it out, and all seemed to be okay albeit a bit awkward. A few minutes later, We were then told by the waitress that we need to move to a different table in favor of a larger party needing that space, only to discover that we shouldn’t have been relocated in the first place, and the waitress gave our table to another party of 2. We had to search hard to speak to someone, and no true action was taken to accommodate us, other than us witnessing a lot of finger pointing minus simply addressing the issue. I have generally enjoyed eating here, but no longer wish to do so.
Nice place for having Indian food if u are into it then must try for sure...
A fully vegetarian Indian restaurant, Madras Mantra specializes in dosas, uthappam and other South Indian style food. Ambience: pretty casual sit down place, with ample seating and decent wall decor. They also have outdoor seating (though as we saw when we were there it is NOT water proof - people were soaked by the sudden outburst of downpour that is pretty common in GA during the summer) 4/5 Service: the waiter we had was friendly, but was not well versed in dishes - he advised us that two dishes were exactly the same (when in fact they were not). We had also requested salt which we never received. The waiters in general were technically wearing masks but most of them did not cover the entire area from chin to nose. 3.5/5 Food: we got the dahi puri as an appetizer, which is gol gappay filled with masala potato and covered with dahi and some spices. This was pretty pleasant to eat, with tangy yogurt and tamarind notes playing well with the masala flavor 5/5 We also got the onion chili uthappam and the onion rava masala dosa, which came with sambar and chutneys. The onion chili uthappam was made well - you could taste the fermented batter which was uniformly shaped into a circle, though could have used a bit more salt. However, the onions and chilli embedded in the uthappam were completely unnecessary as they did not add to the flavor and made for a heavier dish. The sambar that came with it was a bit on the thin side, and lacked flavor as there were no strong notes of any masala. The chutneys, on the other hand, were quite strong - the golden ginger chutney had way too much ginger in it. The coconut and orange chutney were much more balanced and flavorful. 3.5/5 The onion rava masala dosa was crispy, flavorful and very pleasant. The chutneys (same as the uthappam) as well as the potato masala that came with it complemented the dosa well, though again a bit of salt lacked throughout. 4/5 Overall, good for a bite of some South Indian veg!
Dosa was great but chole in pani poori was cold.
Opted to not cook on a Friday but still eat Indian... This restaurant was recommended and I can now see why. Clearly the chefs have got their appetizer and main course recipes down to a T. Awesome food, and take that from a discerning Indian who loves to eat. I actually liked that they were lighter on the salt on all dishes but some might want to add a bit per their taste. The desserts though could be lighter on the sugar. Service could be more attentive and faster. Drinks menu could include some cocktails instead of just wines and beers. On wines, recommend adding more variety instead of sticking to just Robert Mondavi. Will definitely return, with company as well.
I was hungry and did not want to eat junk food so I stopped here. When you step into the restaurant it feels like you just stepped into a part of India. The decor is beautiful so the atmosphere just feels wonderful!I was pleased to see such a large menu. I ordered a rice dish with veggies and it was delicious! The dinner was also very economical as it only cost me about 13 bucks for a very large plate of food.Initially I was just going to grab some takeout but the place was so nice and the service was so good that I decided to sit down and eat.The gentleman who waited on me was very kind and accommodating. They have an outside balcony that's a great chill spot.I appreciate that it's a vegetarian spot and yes I will return!
Loved the food at this place. Generous portions.. and great south Indian food.. I had Andhra dosa and it was delicious!
No good customer service. We go all the time but yesterday was very bad service. We had issue with their service all the time, we co operate with business during the pandemic.
Absolutely delicious all veg restaurant and buffet. The lunch buffet has great variety.
Delicious lunch today and great options for safe social distancing - outdoor seating, curbside pickup, QR menus, etc. I love that the menu has codes for gluten free and vegan options and plenty to choose from for special diets. I really wish there were a GF, vegan thali option and more gluten free and vegan specialties. My kids (1&4) LOVED the mini idly with sambar and chutney. We will definitely stop by for another meal here while we are staying in the Marietta area.
