“I ordered fried Tilapia, shrimp fries & coleslaw. Tasted pork fried rice. All items were cooked & seasoned perfectly. Fast, friendly service. Great prices - get a lot of food for the price. Two people can eat a great meal of this combination + soft drink for around $25. ?“
“We travelled all day on Christmas & needed to get dinner somewhere. Sunny Wok was the only place on this side of town open and it has great reviews. I placed an online order. Due to the high volume of people placing orders online, by phone, and even in store, it still only took an hour and our food was fresh, hot, and delicious. This place has been down the street from us for years and I can’t believe it took us so long to try it. We will be repeat customers for sure!“
“Edit: I ordered the Black pepper chicken last night. I got what I always had gotten in the past. It was amazing. I don't know if they gave me the wrong thing last time, or if they went back to the old recipe. But either way I am very happy. This was the old review that I gave 3 stars to:They had the best black pepper chicken in town. They changed the recipe. Now it's just like everyone else's..... I'm so sad.“
“Today is April 1 around 11:52 AM. I went to this restaurant with my wife for lunch as we do almost every day at different places. This is our first time here. We’ve had nothing but horrible experiences with Chinese restaurants in the area and was happy when we bit into our food to find that it was comfort from what we were used to. I will definitely come to this facility again. Food was hot fast and very good. Portions are fairly decent for the lunch“
“Extremely clean and very friendly staff . Restaurant is spacious and well lit with booths and tables. Food is great and always served steaming hot. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. Lots of choices on the menu . It is tucked away on the side of a large retail commercial shopping center but parking is easy and the area is very safe (near Evans Town Center ). I love this place and the food is freshly prepared so they will tweak flavors and sauces easily. Try it .“
“Happy Garden is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Augusta. When my boyfriend and I first moved here we tried multiple different Chinese restaurants but this one took the cake in not only quality/taste of food but also service. We ate there regularly for the entire 4 years at the DCG and it never failed to be absolutely delicious. We frequently got the sweet and sour chicken combo which is a 10/10 and the beef/chicken and broccoli combo which was usually an 8.5/10. We also love their crab rangoon's, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, house soup, veggie lo mein, szechuan style beef, and much more. Really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We always called in for takeout and the wait time was always around 15-20 minutes for pickup. Usually a younger guy always helped us and he is just the best!“
“Absolutely love this restaurant! I have been going here for 3 years and the owners and employees are so kind and helpful. I am vegetarian, and they are always accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.“
“Meimei's has some of the best Chinese food in the area! I love the way they prepare their Orange and General Tso's chicken - it's super crispy and delicious! Their dim sum options are amazing too - I recommend the Char Siu Bao. Any time a friend or family member visits from out of town, I take them here!“
“We've ordered from here several times and it is pretty good food. I eat white meat which is a $2 up charge and other than that prices are comparable to everywhere else. Some items on their menu they no longer make so there's that. I was looking forward to spare rib tips, haha. Service is fine as I've only ordered to go. Ambiance is a little antiquated but those are the best to go spots right? Overall it's a quick and easy dinner, just order, pick up, and go!“
“This is some of the best Chinese food in the CSRA. The thing I love most about New Chan is their consistent flavor and generous portions. I would know been a customer of theirs for over a decade and Baby when I rave about a place I mean it, I'm a true foodie and MR LI'S chicken wings and BBQ ribs are heaven in a takeout plate. His fried wontons are so crispy and generously filled with cream cheese goodness they're a must. His staff is always friendly and helpful. If you haven't yet, don't wait anymore just get in the car and go live your best life!“
“We're fairly new to the area and was at Augusta mall and found this Chinese restaurant only 7 minutes away. Very low key spot. Not much business around and easy to spot the restaurant. We ordered Mongolian beef, chicken, shrimp and noodles special that included chicken, shrimp and pawn. It was a wait and worth it. Everything came out hot and just made. Smelled delicious and taste to match. I didn't see much prawn in the meal (small size) and only 2-3 shrimp in the Mongolian dish (large size). Prices were reasonable. Portions go a long way! The inside of the establishment needs some work. Other than that, order to go and enjoy!“
“The food was great, can’t wait to try more dishes. Lots of choices, almost couldn’t decide but went with Steamed dumplings and Salt & pepper calamari for our appetizers. For our entree’s, we had the Hunan Chicken and Green pepper steak w/ Lo Mein (not pictured). Both tasted great! The atmosphere was cozy and the restaurant was clean. Carmen, the server was great! Awesome personality! Definitely recommend to try this place out!“
“We had an amazing waiter named Ethan!! Came for lunch and the price for two of us with appetizers and two deserts was only 48 dollars!! which is crazy for the atmosphere and service that we got. Plus it was my mother’s birthday lunch and they made it so special. Ethan seemed to be shadowing someone and still was moving smoothly and so kind. Will be back!“
“This was a very pleasant surprise, I’m on the road all the time, and it’s very hard to find good food and I hit the jackpot. Food was excellent and the young lady behind the counter was pleasant, friendly outgoing. I couldn’t ask for anything more.Thank youParking: I drive a semi, and I had absolutely no problem, finding a place to park Bob tailing.“
“Honestly this is the best Panda Express location I've been to and that's coming from someone who has always hated Panda Express. But when I was at AIT here, it was the only good thing on base. Now that I'm out of AIT I still find myself stopping by for a meal to go. Their orange chicken is always nice and crispy“
“Good food that's still good reheated (general tso chicken and fried rice). They have a different take on fried rice, but I like it. It's a yellow rice with the usual veggies and a nice wok/"fried" flavor. Reasonablly priced. Good service. I'll probably be back.“
“I love this restaurant because it reminds me of the Chinese restaurants in New York. The food is very good and the staff are very friendly. I loved everything I have tried here and their delivery is great too. I definitely recommend any beef, chicken and shrimp dishes as well as some of their veggie options. I personally think they have some of the best fried rice in town.“
“Best Chinese we have had in years, hands down! I had given up on finding a place with great Chinese food in our area, but we decided to try this spot on our way home and it did not disappoint. I got the General Tao chicken and it had a lot of flavor, it was fresh and hot, and it had a bit of a unique twist that made it stand out above any other place I've had. Great food, great quality. We'll definitely be back, probably again this week ?“
“Fish great but them WINGS ugly as hell!!!! I can appreciate a great presentation but I'm not so picky that it'll affect my decision to eat....but them WINGS!!- "it's scary, it's frightening"-foogianoAll in all they didn't taste bad. But they also didn't taste good enough to cover the visual. They batter them and the batter doesn't completely stick. It makes the skin of the wings look dark with light colored lesions. Just warning yall. Stick to the fish“
“The restaurant was small but it has delicious food in there. The lunch menus came with a spring roll and your entree. It was more than I could eat. Everything there was freshly prepared and served piping hot. I highly recommend this place. It filled up fast so the word must be out on this gem.“
“I didn't take photos this time, but I will next time. Feeding a family of five, I ordered a half of pan pork fried rice with 25 Chinese wings and 20 lemon pepper wings. The lemon pepper wings were so delicious, better than any other lemon pepper wings I've tasted. The regular Chinese wings were good as well. Every other place I've ate wings at, the wings taste like fish, yuck! This will now be my go-to place for wings.“
“My friend tested positive for Covid I called happy China and ask them if they could take their chicken broth and add thin rice, noodles, and chicken since we eat there at least twice a week we know they have all these ingredients on hand and prepared they were the sweetest kindest about putting this together for me to give to my friend to help her get better and get nourishment, a true establishment that will take their ingredients and make something that I call get better soup I thank everyone that helped make this happen.. greatest place to get your Chinese food. There isn’t an anything on that menu I haven’t liked from there. I rate them at a 10+ For tasty food and a 10+ for speed getting the menu ready ❤️“
“Delicious Food! Polite, courteous serviceVery prompt in completing order, very clI ean ,however I did not visit restroom. Eggrolls were so very good, and sweet and sour chicken. This is my #1 choice for oriental fare in this area.I appreciate so much all the quality from beginning to end! Highly recommend!! Truly Number 1“
“The best Asian food I ever tasted !! ? ?just love it !! It is amazingly delicious ! Very clean place. Very efficient, excelente service, The flavors are wonderful especially the Sun Flower roll it is so yummy ???thank you!Parking: Very clean and safeWheelchair accessibility: Yes available ??“
“Theres a few things I look for when I walk into a Chinese Takeout spot. I immediately knew when I walked in I was going to enjoy my order. I was greeted not by an assortment of employees, but by a family. To my right there's a fish tank with a BEAUTIFUL set of fish. This place also followed COVID guide lines. I had the general tso chicken with a side of vegetable lomein instead of fried rice. The taste was there, the authenticity was there, and to top it off it was super affordable. This place is a gem to the community here.“
“1st time here today, and I WILL definitely be coming back! Best Chinese food I have had in a while! I ate egg drop soup (sooo good and flavorful) almond chicken with the gravy on the side and a passion fruit cocktail ? Everything was great and the waiteress and bar tender were super nice and attentive.“
“This place is phenomenal with more bang for your buck. If you order six wins mysteriously, you get seven. Their vegetable fried rice is so delicious and complements the lemon pepper wings very well. The Asian lady at the house has a fantastic memory if you come regularly so you can almost tell me what you normally order as well as what your family orders. They are fast and friendly, no doubt.“
“Listen.... Get the chicken-on-a-stick.... You won't be disappointed Very kind humans, an Affordable and Flavorful menu and always consistent (per my experience) my kiddos love this place as well, including their veggies! Plus, if you call in ahead of time, there's a drive through available to pick up( and only pick up) your order!“
“Delicious food served in generous portions for a reasonable price. We ordered two specials, each of which comes with meat, rice, and an egg roll. That was enough to feed a couple kids and a couple adults with plenty left over. Check out the portion sizes after I removed them from the containers. There is plenty of room to stand in the restaurant while you wait for your order and a few tables to sit at, if you'd like. But this is definitely more of a carryout than dine-in experience. P.S. General Tso's is sweet and delicious, not spicy. Black pepper chicken has a bit of a shrimp after-flavor. Very pleased that the egg rolls did not contain shrimp.“
“I used to come here all the time in my teens/early 20's when I lived with my mom. Since I have moved I have been craving their shrimp egg rolls. Unfortunately there is no other place like China wok's shrimp egg rolls where I live and I miss them dearly. No matter how many I have tried, nothing is really like it. Since I was over at my mom's, I went in the other day and got 2 shrimp eggrolls and a small shrimp fried rice with the added peas and carrots. It hit the spot and was delcious. With the fried rice cooked just right/not dry and perfectly cooked shrimp and over flowing in the container to the crunchy egg roll with more than 1 piece of shrimp and seasoned cabbage. Their food has never really dissapointed me. The owners are always nice and pleasant when ever you go in and they are doing such a good job! I wish there was a China wok where I lived so if you are ever there, get their shrimp egg rolls and try something new!“
“Very nice and friendly staff. I've used them several times and my food is always fresh, hot, and fast. I've even received free egg rolls for my service. Not to mention it's great for me because of the location, I can grocery shop and pick up dinner at once!“
“I've been coming here for years!!! & the food has never disappointed!!! The people who own this place are extremely nice. Food is always fresh, hot and delicious & I am very picky about were I get my chinese food from!!! this is the only place I go to for Chinese food locally! 10 ✨️“
“My first time here....I ordered teriyaki chicken ( not the wings) but the platter, price $9.95. The chicken was tender, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Nice size portions, enough for two people. Typically, when you get vegetables from a restaurant it is overcooked and way too much sauce. But this place to me was absolutely amazing. By far the best Asian restaurant around. The customer service was excellent. It is completely true, it might look like a hole in the wall but the food was wonderful.“
“Tried this place while waiting on laundry. It was empty due to it being Sunday. The person working said its only take out on weekends. The place looked like it would be really good during the week. Plenty of seating and buffet tables. I ordered a combination plate, soda, and spring roll. The price was excellent to the proportion size. The food was delicious. That kind of comfort food that only comes from a Chinese food joint that isn't high end. The service was excellent. Everyone was super nice. The food was cheap. Would recommend.“
“The best Chinese place I’ve ever been to hands down! The food is so delicious and flavorful. My husband and I get food here at least once a week. They’ve never gotten our order wrong, and the food is always hot and ready for us! This place deserves all the 5 star ratings!!!!“
“Cream cheese Rangoons, wings and egg rolls oh my! I had China Wok at a gathering over the weekend and I just had to have more. Second favorite teriyaki wings (next to Pizza Joint’s hotyaki wings). The LoMein was delish. Hubs enjoyed his sesame chicken and kids enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken. Every plate is big enough to be at least 2 meals.“
“Stopped by here the other day for a quick bite. I rate this spot for what it is, which is your standard americanized chinese food done well with solid portions, fast service, and decent enough food all while being fairly priced. Essentially a better tasting panda express with bigger portions. I ordered the kung pao chicken with pork fried rice and it came with a large egg roll. The egg roll had a pork and cabbage filling that reminded me of the frozen pork and cabbage dumplings I often get at the store. The wrap was crispy but a bit on the greasier side. The kungpao chicken had pretty good portions with plenty of crisp vegetables including baby corn, bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots, etc. The chicken was pretty tender but it kinda threw me off that it was breaded/starchy, which I had never seen before with kungpao chicken I've had. Fried rice was a bit heavy on the soy sauce but cooked decently not raw or soggy. All the items were a bit on the saltier side overall, so I would consider subbing regular white rice for the fried rice if that is an option. Again, for it being a fast-casual, americanized chinese takeout spot , it meets expectations. At around 10-11$ for a pretty sizeable amount of food, I would definitely return again and try some other options.“
“Great food for the price! What else can you ask for. Service is always good, the wait isn't bad if you place an order at the store. Wings, lo mein, and egg drop soup are just some of my favorites. Worth the stop if your looking for a quick budget friendly Chinese option.“
