“Subway has become a huge chain, not only here in the United States, but as a global company. Interestingly enough, it was started by a seventeen-year-old kid named Fred DeLuca and financed by Peter Buck back in 1965 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It was finally named Subway in 1972 and began their expansion in 1974 when they opened a second location in Wallingford, Connecticut. Since that humble beginning, Subway has expanded into over 40,000 locations in over one hundred countries and territories. That in itself is pretty impressive. So after that history lesson, let's get to the meat of the subject (and there was definitely intended pun there). Subway will never be the best sub you will ever have. It will probably also never be considered a great sub. However, Subway is relatively consistent and you pretty much do know what to expect when you go to a Subway.I stopped at this particular Subway just looking to grab a quick lunch and Subway served its general purpose. I get a twelve inch sub and was on my way in a quick manner.I was trying to figure out how many stars to give this particular Subway. I understand Subway will never be a great sub shop, but as far as Subways go, this was a decent experience. As far as a sub shop, Subway would probably rank a three at best, but looking at it as a Subway, I will give it four stars.”
“Employees go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They brought the food to us at our table. We went at around 11:30am on 10/12/23 and the woman at the counter was top notch. Made me have all the feels from McDonald's of yesterday.”
“I came into town from Florida to remodel some homes that I bought and decided to stop by this place, I'm so glad that I did because the food is amazing, the staff is extremely polite and the service is outrageously hands down the best. Please check out this place, I promise that you will not regret it...Thank you to the beautiful woman of willow creek chicken shack ❤️”
“This is the nicest, non fancy restaurant you'll go to. The workers are awesome, the place is super nice, and I've never had anything bad off the menu. You like sweet tea? It doesn't get sweeter than here. You like fish? Best catfish off the river. Chicken, burgers, steak, just don't even question whether or not it'll be good. Then there's the starter bread and butter.... Don't even get me started. To put it simply, you ain't getting a better experience or better food, especially for the price. If I could give more than 5 stars, they could take them and run.Parking: It's a nice sized lot, but be careful during supper because it might fill upKid-friendliness: I've got toddlers and the workers are amazing with themWheelchair accessibility: It would be pretty easy to get in, move around, and be comfortable at a table.”
“One of the few non-fast food restaurants open in Helena-McRae on a Sunday. They opened a few minutes late and it took awhile for the food to come out, but the service was friendly and the food was good. I liked that in the burrito I had, they used chopped beef rather than ground beef/hamburger.”
“Absolutely excellent food and service in a cute, comfortable environment! Food was fresh and hot out of the kitchen made to order. Pork sandwich was delish. Wing night is a hit as several people coming in to grab a variety of wings to go. Will be the spot for when traveling back to the area, for sure.”
“I stopped by for lunch and got 2 meats and rice. The food quality was pretty good and the price point was very good! I wish I would have tried the full menu, but I was in and out in minutes for under $10. Hard to beat in 2023!”
“Dr Don on the guitar is nothing short of fantastic. What a singer/musician. Our server Brie was in tune with providing a professional service with great timing. My food (salmon) was delicious!”
“I recently stayed one night at the Little Ocmulgee Lodge in McRae while in the area for business. When it comes to hotel there are not a lot of options in the McRae-Helena area and usually you have to stay 45 mins away. But I decided to try the Little Ocmulgee lodge, and was very pleasantly surprised by my stay. The lodge rooms have been recently renovated and despite having an exterior motor lodge look, the rooms themselves are clean, modern, and comfortable. My only complaint is my room didn't have a work desk. Otherwise, the bathroom was huge, the bed was big and comfortable (a little firm, but I like it) and the AC worked great. The wifi in the room was fast and free as well. The shower in the morning could use some better water pressure, but nothing too terrible. I had both dinner in the lodge pub and breakfast in the lodge restaurant and both were great. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for business or pleasure lodging near McRae. And I can't wait for them to renovate their cabins for next year!”
“Have a good friend in McRae GA, who told me about his cousin, Hank, who is the owner of this Dairy Queen. The burgers are always cooked on an open flame grill, are is one of the best burgers from this chain I have ever had in many years! This place has always been clean everytime I have been there, and the staff always friendly.Parking: There is plenty of parking at this location.”
“Hey everybody, Tony Berryhill is the owner of village pizza in eastman and Mcrae ga. I am his oldest daughter and I wanted to clear up that the unhappy customers assuming that the person/ppl that was rude, which shouldn’t have been, was not my dad. We are in Eastman 90% of the time. So whoever is rude at our family business or cooks food that ain’t to your liking, or overcharging for kids buffets, please get their name so we can handle it and hopefully give you a better perspective of what our family is really about. We have been open for 34yrs and someday soon me and my sis will take it over so I am open to any suggestions, we are all about making things right. We try to make sure our valued customers leave with a full stomach and happier than when they came in.✌️”
“This place cooks the best food around. Tastes home made. No one catches an attitude like a lot of restaurants.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to get in.”
“There were a few things that happened this evening when I came in with my aunt. We came for and ordered fish it was good per usual, but there was also someone in need that came by and the way the staff didn't blink an eye, act funny, or question this individuals motives etc., impressed me. I'm going to be honest, I haven't always heard good things about the staff at Waylon's especially if you are a person of color. However, this particular day in the restaurant, changed my mind and perspective on this business. I never stopped supporting this business, but it has been a while since I came. I'm so grateful to have experienced this encounter that day. There were a few other individuals who stopped to help, prayed, and offered salvation. It was just an awesome experience. Keep up the good work!!!Kid-friendliness: There's a fish tank on display also Christmas decorations.”
“Had some amazing servers Brandie & Heather (y’all rock) , very sweet young ladies ask for them when you visit I promise you want be disappointed with their service! Food was fresh and hot , very clean and comfortable place to enjoy a meal with your family!”
