If we are from here in the "Ville," we all know about this little hidden gem, mom -n- pop restaurant. The Goodie Gallery, (which sits just on the outskirts of town, right past the railroad tracks on the right when going downtown) little though it may be, is not at all what they serve inside when it comes to taste. We always stop when we are in town. Been with my husband, who is from here, for 21 years. My first visit to the Goodie Gallery was when he brought me home to meet his Moma and we have been coming ever since. Can't leave town without an egg salad sandwich and some cookies.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. The Goodie Gallery was my first Milledgeville restaurant I ever went to and continued to be my favorite. The food is so fresh, serving size amazing, and the place has the best atmosphere. It's a true hole in the wall but don't let that put you off. Look past it's run down appearance and you are in for the best subs and dessert in.
