“Our first dining experience here. We felt like we were eating in a cherry blossom garden. Fresh fish and flavor combinations we haven’t seen before. Lots of choices, beautifully plated. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff is very attentive and nice. Can’t believe this gem has been in the middle of Sandy Springs for several years and we just found it. They also have a large outdoor patio that we will try on our next visit, soon.“
“They fixed it when I went back to get a refund.I ordered vegetable pho with tofu. I might as well have ordered veggies only because there was barely any tofu. I asked if this was the correct serving size for tofu and they said yes. I’m not ever coming back to this restaurant. For the same price, you get more at Pho 24 across the street. I should’ve went there instead of trying something new.“
“Excellent service, especially from the lady who is always very friendly. Soft music. The bubble tea she makes on the spot is wonderful. I tried the taro flavor. Delicious ? I don't know how to use the chopstick, so I take my adapter ???“
“Hands down the best sushi place - food and staff are awesome. Why did we wait so long to visit this place. We can't wait to return - one of the few places I brag about. The "Sandy Springs Roll" is outstanding. Kudos to the stafff“
“Taka Sushi is one of our favorite restaurants. We have tried at least a dozen greater metro Atlanta Japanese or Sushi restaurants and Taka Sushi is the best, especially the Sashimi and the Soba Noodles. Over the last 4+ years we have been here about 30 to 35 times. Traveling Asia and Europe there are only two we found on the same high level, one in Manhattan (Soba Totto) and one in Singapore (Shimbashi Soba, Paragon).“
“Great food went for my 25th work anniversary with my family which was over 5 years ago. However at that time the restaurant was decorated nicely the buffet was very diverse it had many great choices and everything was delicious I ate. The service was great they were attentive. I would love to visit again.“
“There are actually several types of food I like to get at Sushi Nami:Sushi and SashimiBento BoxesNoodlesNot to say they have a bunch of other sections such as donburi, fried rice, cold noodles, small plates, teriyaki plates, and even a section called "I don't like raw stuff" which has things like tempura lunch, fish and chips, tonkatsu and more!I recommend 12 and 69, Big O, Jalapeno Lobster (actually made with an entire lobster), The River, Tommy Sunset, Up the Stream and Wicked Tuna. I always enjoy Sushi and Sashimi plate for when I just straight up want sashimi, and then I do recommend the Nabeyaki udon noodle soup (with added egg) it is just the perfect dish when it's cold out.Last but not least the bento boxes are huge and the salmon, beef, and chicken are all tasty. You have the option to sit inside vs outside, the outside is light and nice in the warmer months, and the inside is a darker vibe, probably good for a date.I have to take off a star though because service can just be SUPER slow here.“
“really amazing food. so fast and delicious! wonderful experience! Kaya Signature with the Karaage ...perfect spice, flavor, texture, broth. we were here at noon and had our food in 15 min from the moment we walked in the door and we did not rush to order.“
“Food was amazing and service was impeccable. The 8 course tasting menu and Sake pairing was worth every penny. Went for my birthday and they did not disappoint. Angela was the best. Very personable and knowledgeable in regards to menu options, Sakes and history. Compliments to the chef!!!“
“Hands down, the best sushi I've ever had. They incorporate truffle oil in some of their rolls and if you like truffle, you cannot go wrong. Very savory. I'd recommend the avocado balls, crunchy spicy tuna roll and the snow crab in miso soup. The truffle aioli salmon appetizer is another hit. The cocktails - Wow! Thai Me Up is a their version of a spicy margarita but they use some sort of oil and it is delicious! I'll be craving that drink for a long time. It's not cheap but if you're looking for a treat or have a special occasion, it's a full recommend from me! Thank you goes out to Kelly, our server, who steered us towards the fantastic dish selections.“
“We had a wonderful experience here! We have two kids with celiac disease and it’s hard to find places to eat. They asked immediately about food allergies or diet restrictions and went above and beyond to make sure our kids needs were safely met! The service was amazing, food was delicious! Overall a wonderful experience!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu available!“
“My husband and I love this place! The sushi here is unique and top notch! The ambiance is low-lit, almost speakeasy-ish. We always get the legally blonde and a star is born. You have to get a star is born. It’s delicious. Mama Mia is also really good.Lychi martini is their best drink in my opinion.Sticky toffee cake for dessert. You can never go wrong here. They never miss.“
“Just tried HW Sushi and it was really good. I didn’t eat all the rolls we tried but the fish was super fresh and tasty. I had the dynamite roll seriously 9.5/10. Good level of heat and textures. We also tried the veggie tempura and edamame. The tempura was served hot and the batter/grease because it’s fried was not over bearing like it can be at some places. The sauce served alongside was delicious and balanced not too salty or sweet. My kids loved their rolls which were California and Salmon Killer. I look forward to returning and trying more of their menu.Kid-friendliness: Small restaurant with mostly large booths.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The bento box was a delightful combination of fresh ingredients that left my taste buds dancing with joy. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the exceptional service provided by Jackie, my server. Her attentiveness, warmth, and knowledge of the menu made me feel truly valued as a guest. Additionally, the bartender, Blake, crafted some of the most exquisite cocktails I've ever had the pleasure of sipping. Their combined attention to detail and passion for the craft truly shone through in every aspect of my dining experience. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you, Jackie and Blake, for an unforgettable lunch!Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian and vegan friendly options here!Dietary restrictions: Servers understand the menu well and are helpful with dietary restrictions.Parking: Plenty of parking in the shopping center.Kid-friendliness: Comfortable environment for families!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible and friendly.“
“I came here last night for an 8pm dinner reservation to celebrate one of my friends' birthdays. We were a party of 10 and the restaurant was not super busy, save for a couple other tables. We took a couple minutes to decide on our orders, but our server was very patient and made no mistakes. I ordered the Pork Gyoza, Nabeyaki Udon, and the Matcha pound cake for dessert. Let me preface this by saying I've had better Japanese food in Atlanta, but that this place wasn't BAD. It was just "okay". The gyoza filling was tasty, but the wrap itself was quite dry. The udon was very warm and had a ton of noodles inside, but there was 1 singular shrimp tempura, two fish cakes, and maybe ten or so pieces of slightly overcooked chicken. Still a decent bowl of hot soup noodles. Finally, the matcha cake wasn't spectacular but I enjoyed the sweet treat at the end of my meal.“
“Having tried thoroughly enjoyed our omakase experiences at Mujo and Hiyakawa we have been trying to find other similar experiences in Atlanta. I am happy to report that Brush's omakase did not disappoint. The service was outstanding. Both the servers and the chef spent generous amounts of time talking with us and making sure we had everything we needed/wanted.We did the 16 course menu and it was the perfect amount a food and I would say it is a better value when compared to Mujo or Hiyakawa. I would say the atmosphere sits in between those two. Mujo having a very chill comfortable vibe and Hiyakawa being more like a museum and culinary course. At Brush you get a more chill vibe and can get as little or as much information you want to the meal. I would also say that Brush is much less overbearing on the rules than either Mujo and Hiyakawa which was very nice. The quality of the fish and dishes were amazing. Brush has a unique rice and some unique presentations that the other places don't have. All things considered I think Brush my be the best overall place (accounting for price, comfort and experience). The only draw back of the omakase experience for me is the the space in not an intimate as the other spots I have mentioned. You can definitely tell you are in Buckhead.“
“I have been looking for a great sushi spot ever since I moved out of the city and this place is a 10/10 for me! I loved seeing the chefs as soon as we walked through the door. The atmosphere was cozy and well-designed. The wait staff was very friendly. And the food was out of this world! We tried a few things- the vegetable tempura and shishamo to start, and then the Happy Roll, Yum Yum Roll, and Orange Blossom. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and delicious! This will be our new go-to whenever we get a craving for sushi.“
“I personally LOVED this place. Everything we ordered from appetizers to rolls to desserts were all a delight! I usually don't lean towards sushi rolls, but these are some of the best I've had! The garlic pepper toro roll and the 24k roll were both 5/5 stars! Everything we ordered we loved! The desert here is amazing as well! Service was good and attentive, parking here is Valet only so keep that in mind!“
“First time trying and definitely enjoyed it. Food was very good. Will definitely return and highly recommended giving it a try. I ordered my bowl spicy and was great. Just the right amount of spice without over powering the other ingredients.“
“Japanese with a Korean flair. Great prices + great quality + _extremely_ great service. Surprisingly, they’ve been a “near-kept secret” in Atlanta for nearly 50 years. (Since 1970?)We’ve been eating here & picking up more-and-more regularly for only the past 3 years.“
“We were craving for sushi and decided to try this well-established restaurant that has been around for 30+ years. It was a very cute place tucked behind a shopping plaza. For appetizers we got the shrimp teriyaki and the Kara-Age chicken, which was the perfect starter while we waited for our entrees. For entrees we got the salmon sashimi, spicy tuna roll, caterpillar roll and the sukiyaki dinner. The sukiyaki dinner came with salad, miso soup and a bowl of rice. The salmon sashimi was extremely fresh and melted in my mouth. The servings were very generous and we did not leave hungry. The owner/staff were very nice and treated us like family.“
“After a few visits to Katana, I have to say that the service and food quality has been consistently wonderful. The sushi is fresh and beautifully prepared & presented. The cooked items are cooked to order and have been delicious. The waitstaff is always welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is comfortable & nicely decorated. We look forward to each of our return visits.“
“This place is flames!!!!! I got the hibachi with chicken & shrimp + the tacos with impossible meat. Tacos were cooked on the grill with this yummy cheese that didn't taste weird at all! Lol. It's been years since I've had hibachi & this was so good even my non vegan mom thoroughly enjoyed. (I DO wish the veggies in the hibachi were a little crunchier, but that's just personal preference.) Manager was super nice too! Support the vegan restaurants y'all!“
“I wish I could give it even more than 5 stars. This restaurant has been time-tested by us and we will return here again and again! The employees are always friendly and try to do everything in their power to ensure that customers enjoy their time! The food is excellent, as usual.“
“Nice restaurant kind of tucked away by Roswell HS. Staff was very friendly, and my favorite sushi was the French Kiss. Also had gyoza and chicken katsu, which was pretty standard fare. I hope they expand some of the non sushi items, but for sushi, I'm really happy this is in Roswell-- it's very difficult to find quality sushi on the west side, between Marietta, Roswell and Kennesaw (lots of great places in Peachtree Corners, Buford Hwy, Duluth, etc). We will definitely be back!“
“On our most recent visit, my wife and I started with 2 pieces of nigiri salmon and 2 pieces of smoked nigiri salmon. Both were delicious! The teriyaki steak and teriyaki scallop dishes with fried rice were also well prepared. The staff is amazingly attentive and friendly! This is also our favorite place in the area to get sushi rolls! We love coming to JP!“
“We were out near the big chicken and decided to grab some lunch. I looked online and found this little place and decided to try it based on the reviews. It didn’t look like much when we pulled up, but What a gem! The food was very fresh and delicious… No MSG and not sodium filled like so many Asian dishes are. Even my husband who had his heart set on eating at Marietta diner enjoyed his meal thoroughly. Very sweet staff who were very helpful in assisting us with figuring out what we should order.“
“Great bar opened up to the 70 degree March weather. Staff was professional and hard working and had everything handled around us. Food was OK I had beef and pork eggrolls which were great, and chicken curry which was so so. My friend really liked his entree though I can’t remember what it was. Everyone seemed really happy to be there and it raised my opinion of the Windy Hill area up a notch. I’ll give it another shot next time I’m there and try something different…“
“In a shopping center that doesn't look too nice on the outside. But the restaurant itself on the inside is really beautiful and clean. Driving past this would not prompt me to stop. But, if you want something different that is delicious please visit this Japanese restaurant. Customer service is amazing and the food is absolutely the best!!! Very big portions of food, so come hungry. I wish this place was closer to us.We got a Sando curry sauce chicken with fries that also comes with a small soup ($12.00). As well as a gingeryaki rice bowl with the sauce on the side ($12.00). This meal also came with a small soup. The drinks are a bit pricey. $2.00 for a can of Coke and $4.00 for a Japanese glass soda.“
“Place is under new management/ ownership atmosphere is awesome! Having edamame, short ribs steam veggies glabi ( short ribs) has incredible flavor must have when you come.come see chef Kevin and Annie, Ms Hannah The Dream team!!Don't forget to get the Amazing fresh Sushi!!“
“I went here after a Braves game and from what I can remember (I had a few too many tequilas) it was sooo yummy. I got the spicy tuna sushi burrito and it was very spicy so be prepared. I won't lie my stomach was lowkey torn up the next day but sometimes sushi does that to me so idk fam. Overall it was good!“
“Ru Sans is a ever evolving restaurant. The relatively new ownership has only improved an already great quality restaurant that has more of a friendly neighborhood feel. It has traditional Japanese sushi but many American friendly additions have been made over the years to the menu. I recommend it now more than ever.Parking: The Tower Place parking deck is paid parking but Ru Sans validates for 2 hours free“
“Visited Kin No Tori Ramen Bar in Alpharetta yesterday with my adult daughter. This location was formerly called Ramen By Hajime-which I loved also. Luckily for me, we enjoyed our Black Tonkotsu ramen with the same savory deliciousness that seems rare in other places. The broth is the best! Also, although they did not list their Citrus Yuzu hot beverage on their menu, they offer it. It pairs nicely with their ramen and full of vitamin C, no doubt. Plus, we shared an order of Crispy Brussel Sprouts which were also delicious. I usually take pictures, but was enjoying the food so much that I didn't stop to take any. I hope you enjoy when you go. It's nice and cozy and conveniently located.“
“Omakase by Yun is an incredible dinner experience! The service was impeccable, and the food was fresh, immersive, and delicious. We particularly loved the Big Mac, lean tuna, sashimi selections, sake tasting and cocktails. Chef Yun was welcoming and attentive. And the mixologist Chauncey (Taylor) created some of the best cocktails we've had. On top of all that, the music and vibe were 10/10. Highly recommend!“
“My favorite Japanese restaurant! The sushi bar is small and there are not many tables. It gets full quickly in the evening. Being half Japanese, when I am missing my mother, I go for dinner or get a carry out. It reminds me of my childhood. I have never been disappointed at this restaurant.“
“Amazing Udon noodle shop tucked away in a shopping center only serving lunch. The traditional udon was some of the best I have ever had comparable to udon in Japan. The noodles were thick, bouncy and chewy with a pleasant bite. The broth was packed with flavor and hot.The Tempura was perfectly and lightly fried not greasy at all with a mix veggies and shrimpExcited to try more items at this place like their Katsu and Modern and Cold udons“
“Very pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. We started with Calamari which is fresh and crisp. The portion isn't large overall but the slices are large. We had the Belly roll and the Mika roll. Both were very good but the Mika roll stood out as it was unique and crisp. I prefer raw sushi but this roll is great. We also tried their hand rolls which is something I haven't had anywhere else. Spicy tuna and smoked salmon were both very good. The prices are about on par with other sushi restaurants. Regular rolls start at $14 and go up to $20. Definitely can't eat here as an individual for under $20. Calimari app. 2 rolls. 3 hand rolls. Japanese soda. Large sipporo. Desert. All of that was around $95.Overall I'd definitely go back as they had some unique options and the quality was outstanding. The ambiance is quite good as well.Kid-friendliness: This is a chill restaurant so if your kids are well behaved, take them. If not, no one wants to listen to your bratty kids while enjoying quality food. ; )“
“We came here today for a team lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the stark difference of this location and the Kennesaw location. The staff was sweet and attentive, we were seating quickly, and the whole timing moved without feeling like we were rushed. Everything was clean and all of the food was fresh. This was some of the best calamari I've had in the area and my spicy salmon hand roll was fantastic! I pushed myself to try something new, the spicy chicken udon noodles. It was loaded with veggies and plenty plump noodles. The sauce was a little sweet with a subtle heat, I would definitely order again but with a side of yum sauce. I would be happy to come back to the Cumberland location, but I would refrain from the Kennesaw location.“
“I was downtown this week and the craving for Asian food hit me, I stumbled on this restaurant tucked in on a main road, I honestly would have missed it if I was just driving by. What stood out to me about the restaurant more than the building was the was a very colorful woman Mrs. Chang who cracked jokes and made you feel at home it was very nice and inviting. But the restaurant and layout is very nice and cozy honestly. The food was great soooo many options that I NEED to try, did I mention they have Sushi and not just 5 basic rolls they have a great selection. This will definitely be one of my go to spots in the city. More to come!“
“Ok Valentines Evening Dinner. Sat us immediately per our reservation time. It was very busy understandably. Our server was a bit stressed as it was obvious the restaurant was understaffed. I truly felt bad for him because he had no backup, not even to provide water for the table. Food was really good and fairly prompt/no delays. We ended up cancelling our last drinks because our server was so slammed. Overall good experience but the restaurant was not prepared properly for a busy night. We will return no doubt!“
“Surprisingly good food. The cashier let me know there was a wait due to a few large orders before I placed my order. It's good to set the expectations appropriately and I appreciated it. The food was reasonably priced and the quantity was more than I expected. I'll definitely be “
“Everything is good, but the air conditioner is hot..The way of serving food is great..The flavor of the octopus didn’t like the other one; it needs more seasoning.” (Sweet & salt seasoning)I don’t like the chicken wing.. ?I need napkins, no one give me napkins..No oeyster and crab…And just an input, the waiters need more smile and don’t ever ask people “this is $30 buffet” I dont think this is an expensive restaurant…Give people more good attitude you will get a good tip.. I always give 20% - 50% for tip..But overall is good..“
“We have been coming here for years! This place is a family favorite. The food is amazing it looks amazing, and the waiter is so nice ? she let us change our order when my mom said the wrong thing. The wait is always worth it!? Make sure that you call for a reservation because it is popular! ?“
“Himitzu, Atlanta's hidden gem of a lounge, is celebrated for serving some of the city's finest cocktails, a perfect follow-up to a superb dinner after UMI. This speakeasy distinguishes itself with elegant decor and a cozy atmosphere, providing a unique setting for socializing with an impressive crowd. It's a must-visit destination in Atlanta. Secure a dining experience at UMI first, then politely request the secret code for Himitzu access. If it's a quieter night, you might just get the code, or alternatively, you can make a reservation via email. A little charisma can go a long way while making that reservation :)“
“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“
“Staff is super friendly, which is a plus in Atlanta. Food is superb absolute quality. No cutting corners in this establishment. My toddler literally finished his plate, which says a lot. Prices are worthy of your hard earned ?. Stayed away because of the stigma of the old Chinese ghetto restaurant was nasty af. Crazy I am amazed by the new ownership.“
“EXCELLENT! We had 3 rolls and they were all perfection. My favorite was the Rolls Royce Roll, we also had the double decker, and the twilight roll. We also had a beverage (run for the pigs? lol) it was also delicious. The icing on the cake was the service. I wish I knew our servers name but he was so attentive. He shared all the info about the menu, drinks, and even brought us a dessert. We will definitely come back.“
“Amazing food! Great service! The food is some of the best traditional Japanese food around. The ramen is great and so is the sukiyaki udon!**UPDATE **Everything is mostly the same; however, you now have to register for parking and pay. You do get 2 hours which is usually enough to eat there, but it does add slightly more hassle. Their prices have significantly increased. Things that were $15 are 17$... there was a dish that I believe was $11 is now $17. (Don't quote me, I could have misread.... but that's what I remember)“
“I’m so glad I found this place. It’s one of the only establishments I can eat at being a vegetarian. It’s always super clean, super fresh, calming and relaxing. It’s my go to spot in the area several times a month. Please do not ever change!!!!!“
“Out of the multitude of amazing things I want to say, I will concisely summarize my experience by simply stating: WOW! I really enjoyed the courses and unique style of flavor combinations and presentation. The atmosphere rocked especially thanks to Calvin being so present and affable and genuine. Clearly everyone at Norifish is passionate about offering a proper dining experience from top to bottom and everything in between.“
