Second night we dined at The Grey which has a modern vibe and I suspect may appeal more to the younger crowd. Third night we ate at Elizabehth's which was our favorite of the three. On any given night, depending on what you order or what is served that you like (or love) any one of the three could come out on top but our top vote goes to Elizabeth's our favorite Savannah restaurant.“
“This has been my favorite meal in Savannah so far! The food and coffees are DELICIOUS and I’m already asking my husband if we can go back another day before we leave. “My fella and I visited Ardsley Station the other night and our experience was the best we’ve had in quite some time in Savannah. Our server Cameron was super knowledgeable on cocktails, daily specials, the menu, and ingredients (I have an allergy). He gave us tons of history on the business, the owner, and the building, truly a great experience before the cocktails and food even hit the table. We both had the Blood Orange Margaritas which were fantastic, the crab cake for a starter, he had the Manhattan filet special and I had the bolognese, and the ice cream sandwich for dessert- all top tier, to the point that we both raved about it all days later. Service was great and the waitress we had was amazing, but the additions of being exceptionally kind and having good food is not enough to make us desire to come again on my budget. The food was amazing, my favorite part of the dinner was the appetizer. We had the mussels which were savory and salty with a hit of spice at the end. The drinks and bartender was fantastic and efficient! The food was also amazing! I had a series of oysters as an appetizer and then a scallop risotto that was perfectly cooked. I am Italian and super picky when it comes to risotto and this was great risotto. The scallops were perfectly cooked. When she was advised that there was another table two table back, she promptly said that it was being held for someone else. She was advised that table would not be exceptable andwere seated at another table after; another waitress told her it was not ready for use and to seat us at another table. We were under the impression that reservations were not needed. We had completed our meal and was ready to walk out when another couple came in and she promptly seated them; all the while make other customers wait for a table when one was available that could have been utilized. NOW on the other hand out server (Jamie) was excellent. She was very friendly and extremely attentive to us. She made our bad experience a whole lot better. You need more workers like her.
