“This place was amazing. The customer service was great. The food came out hot and fresh. The food size portion is nice. Our kids(3&8) are picky eaters but surprisingly loved the calamari and sushi. They have been asking to go back, which we will. You will not be disappointed.“
“I recently dined at this restaurant and had a mixed experience. Let's start with the positives—the food was absolutely delicious! I especially recommend trying their sushi pizza, it was a unique and delightful dish that left me wanting more. However, I must mention that the service was a bit lacking. The staff seemed a bit disorganized and inattentive, which took away from the overall dining experience.Despite this, I would still recommend this place for its food and ambiance. It's definitely worth a visit if you're looking to try some great dishes in a cozy setting.“
“We ordered delivery from Tokyo Sushi and really enjoyed it. The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the chicken hibachi was very good as well. My sister recommended this place because it was close to her office and she ate here frequently. She said the service was always good and the restaurant is pretty inside. I look forward to dining in person next!“
“Pleasantly surprised in our search for our new go-to take out Chinese restaurant since we moved to Georgia last year. This restaurant has a foot in three separate worlds.. Japanese, Chinese, and Georgia (focus on wings). Their sauces on their Asian dishes reflected the blended origins and I liked their slightly modified Teriyaki sauce. We had two orders of the House Special Yakisoba Bowl which includes shrimp, chicken, beef and vegetables on top of noodles. I liked this dish a lot. The vegetables were cooked about right, not too mushy and not too raw. Shrimp and chicken were good for a fast food place. While reasonably tasty, the beef was a little tough. My preference when working with similar cuts of beef is to slice it thinner or even julienned and cooked quickly. The dish was cooked to medium well and next time I would order it medium. We order one order of Hibachi Chicken which came on a bed of rice instead of noodles. My wife liked the rice and I liked the noodles better, both were lightly to moderately flavored that balanced the items on top. We all had chicken egg rolls which were pretty good. We will try this place a couple of more times before it becomes our go-to, but it is our number one so far. I hope they can match this visit in the future.By the way, the folks behind the counter where we paid and picked up were friendly and very pleasant on this trip. The counter area and eat-in areas were clean and decorated with an oriental theme without going to extremes.Parking: Parking on two sides of the building with the drive through and pickup lane closer to the building itself.“
“Great food. Order is always ready when I arrive. I really appreciate that the staff will go through the order with you to make sure everything is there. This is very helpful when you have a big order for a family with multiple appetizers and entrees for each person.“
“I hardly write reviews, but had to give a huge shoutout to our favorite sushi spot in Atlanta for their incredible service last night. I’m gluten free and 4 months pregnant so with those two things combined most sushi places would be off limits but not Eight! Our server took the time to walk me through everything on the menu I could still order and even things off menu they could make for me. We landed on the king crab nigiri and off menu avocado shrimp roll with gluten free soy sauce. Both items were fantastic. Our sweet server even brought out this adorable congratulatory dessert at the end! Thanks for another great meal Eight!“
“O-Ku never misses, and this restaurant is literally my favorite place in Atlanta. My fiance and I were celebrating our Birthdays and Joe and Jazmine really made this birthday special for us. We were greeted by Joe, who is always super friendly and inviting. He also added beautiful flowers to the table due to the occasion. Our waitress, Jazmine, was also super friendly and knowledgeable and added the final touches to a perfect date night/celebration. As always, thanks for the great time =D“
“Food was amazing and service was impeccable. The 8 course tasting menu and Sake pairing was worth every penny. Went for my birthday and they did not disappoint. Angela was the best. Very personable and knowledgeable in regards to menu options, Sakes and history. Compliments to the chef!!!“
“The food was great and the service was exceptional. Compared to Hayakawa, Mujo seems to have a bit more of a modern take. The ambience was moody and the restaurant was constantly buzzing with conversation and laughs. I loved the presentation, the staff, and the quality.“
“Really special experience, unmatched in Atlanta. Pricey, obviously, but it almost transcends dining. The food quality can't be overstated. Sake recs were top notch. The kind of "above and beyond" service you only get at a place like this. The chef is so personable and engaging.“
“Ate here tonight! Such a cute & decently priced place. The appetizer (spicy cheese karaage) I got was absolutely delicious and the matcha cheesecake was perfect. I can’t wait to come back again! Our server wasn’t the most present but it was quite busy (even on a Wednesday night).Parking: You can pay to park in a nearby lot but can get it validated!“
“Have been getting COVID-19 omakase with Yasu! And I cannot recommended it enough! Every single little detail is not missed even though it is take out. By far one of the best Omakase take in Atlanta currently for it’s price. The amount of food is easily 2-3 times the other omakase and yet the same quality. ❤️“
“Having tried thoroughly enjoyed our omakase experiences at Mujo and Hiyakawa we have been trying to find other similar experiences in Atlanta. I am happy to report that Brush's omakase did not disappoint. The service was outstanding. Both the servers and the chef spent generous amounts of time talking with us and making sure we had everything we needed/wanted.We did the 16 course menu and it was the perfect amount a food and I would say it is a better value when compared to Mujo or Hiyakawa. I would say the atmosphere sits in between those two. Mujo having a very chill comfortable vibe and Hiyakawa being more like a museum and culinary course. At Brush you get a more chill vibe and can get as little or as much information you want to the meal. I would also say that Brush is much less overbearing on the rules than either Mujo and Hiyakawa which was very nice. The quality of the fish and dishes were amazing. Brush has a unique rice and some unique presentations that the other places don't have. All things considered I think Brush my be the best overall place (accounting for price, comfort and experience). The only draw back of the omakase experience for me is the the space in not an intimate as the other spots I have mentioned. You can definitely tell you are in Buckhead.“
“After a few visits to Katana, I have to say that the service and food quality has been consistently wonderful. The sushi is fresh and beautifully prepared & presented. The cooked items are cooked to order and have been delicious. The waitstaff is always welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is comfortable & nicely decorated. We look forward to each of our return visits.“
“Great bar opened up to the 70 degree March weather. Staff was professional and hard working and had everything handled around us. Food was OK I had beef and pork eggrolls which were great, and chicken curry which was so so. My friend really liked his entree though I can’t remember what it was. Everyone seemed really happy to be there and it raised my opinion of the Windy Hill area up a notch. I’ll give it another shot next time I’m there and try something different…“
“We got the organic mushroom hibachi plate... and it was PHENOMENAL. man oh man. Just excellent. After walking around the shops, we decided to get some more Hippie Hibachi to take home. We live in Riverdale... I wish this place was closer, I'd be going all the time. The man made the food so fast each time, and he was super pleasant. I can't wait till next time.“
“We felt like Chinese food today and came to visit. Unknowingly, until we pulled up, it was my 2nd time here. We ordered the house lo mein, crispy half duck, hunan calamari, and tempura calamari and veggies. That lo mein?!.... omg so good! ? the crispy duck is always good. My son ordered the 2 calamari dishes and barely ate them. His most complaint was about the tempura calamari, he said it taste like fried air... so no seasoning. I liked the tempura veggies with the yum yum. And the hunan was good too. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Not a lot of people so we got our food fairly quick.“
“Our first dining experience here. We felt like we were eating in a cherry blossom garden. Fresh fish and flavor combinations we haven’t seen before. Lots of choices, beautifully plated. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff is very attentive and nice. Can’t believe this gem has been in the middle of Sandy Springs for several years and we just found it. They also have a large outdoor patio that we will try on our next visit, soon.“
“One of my "go to's" for Ramen. The portions are over the top, food is good, and always worth the drive.Indoors could use a little updating as it looks a little dated. Don't let this fool you however, the food more than makes up for it.*This place can get a little confusing if visiting for the 1st time. Your title "Newbie" will definitely shine if there are others in line. Grab a menu and jump out of line till you get your sea legs.Overall, a great bowl of Ramen.“
“Ru Sans is a ever evolving restaurant. The relatively new ownership has only improved an already great quality restaurant that has more of a friendly neighborhood feel. It has traditional Japanese sushi but many American friendly additions have been made over the years to the menu. I recommend it now more than ever.Parking: The Tower Place parking deck is paid parking but Ru Sans validates for 2 hours free“
“We had a party of 4 for dinner at 7:45 pm on Monday, 3/25/24. We were seated right away. Plenty of parking. Quick service. Very chill, especially on a Monday night. I wore leggings and sneakers—very casual. We all split 2 appetizers and 7 rolls and it was the perfect amount of food. We could’ve gotten away with only 1 appetizer. We got Gyoza and Edamame, which were both great. For sushi, we got New Paige, Lambada, Pink Lady, Geisha, Tiger Eye, Home Depot, Super Crunch. The New Paige was definitely our favorite. The only one I personally wouldn’t get again was Tiger Eye. But seriously, everything was amazing. It came out to $32 per person, which is super reasonable. We all agree that we can’t wait to go back! Highly, highly recommend!“
“They fixed it when I went back to get a refund.I ordered vegetable pho with tofu. I might as well have ordered veggies only because there was barely any tofu. I asked if this was the correct serving size for tofu and they said yes. I’m not ever coming back to this restaurant. For the same price, you get more at Pho 24 across the street. I should’ve went there instead of trying something new.“
“Amazing food and lots of options to choose from! I greatly enjoyed the hamachi kama and onigiri. Hopefully next time I'll be able to try their sushi!Great portions and everything came out quickly, the price is definitely worth it; we had ordered a lot of different things for a total of $112 which i feel is worth it due to the portions of each order and the fact we were able to order so many dishes.“
“Alex was our bartender and he, alone, was AMAZING, let alone the cocktails he was serving!! The Yuzu was INCREDIBLE. 12/10 recommend! ??? The food sushi was perfect, we had zero complaints. SO GOOD! And fast service! But the cocktails are 1009% what sets this pace (once/if you get in) apart! SO. SO good!!!idk if I would have ordered the Yuzu without Alex convincing me that I would love it, and THANK GOODNESS I listed because DAYUUUM!??????“
“I have been living in Atlanta for 7 months and I have been getting circle poke every week without missing it. Everything about that place is amazing. They also have the best kimchi I’ve ever had. The only thing that I would like them to add would be cream cheese to their menu.“
“We have been coming here for years! This place is a family favorite. The food is amazing it looks amazing, and the waiter is so nice ? she let us change our order when my mom said the wrong thing. The wait is always worth it!? Make sure that you call for a reservation because it is popular! ?“
“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“
“Had last minute dinner here while passing by and it was a great choice! The combo dinners are a great deal and you get a decent amount of food for the price, especially for Japanese cuisine. The only hiccup was they got our order wrong but was quickly fixed, but we had also seen a table next to us get the wrong order. Very small space but we were seated quickly on a Sunday night. Space is tight so it was awkward to balance a purse in the seat and also make sure it won’t get knocked over. There’s a designated parking lot in the back and other parking options nearby.Parking: Tight lot in the back. Host can tell you more options at a nearby restaurant/street.“
“Stopped in for dinner on vacation with my wife and two children. We were all incredibly impressed. We had the calamari, fried rice, and a few rolls; all of them were excellent. Teddy was fantastic at making suggestions and made the experience even more enjoyable.“
“I went here after a Braves game and from what I can remember (I had a few too many tequilas) it was sooo yummy. I got the spicy tuna sushi burrito and it was very spicy so be prepared. I won't lie my stomach was lowkey torn up the next day but sometimes sushi does that to me so idk fam. Overall it was good!“
“Hands down the best sushi place - food and staff are awesome. Why did we wait so long to visit this place. We can't wait to return - one of the few places I brag about. The "Sandy Springs Roll" is outstanding. Kudos to the stafff“
“Pretty good ramen with friendly and fast staff. Very clean environment. Costs are averaging for what you would pay for ramen. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. If you don't know what to order the tonkatsu black is always your safest choice.“
“Very Friendly Man who works there, and was helpful to let us know what other ppl like from here, it was a Birthday Roll Deep Fried. It was so delicious and the price was nice . I'll go again to try some more dish. Also got stir Fried rice and hibachi ? tasteful as well.“
“Hibachi chef was fun and professional. Sushi was lit. Have been three times in last month. Editing this post months later because the manager has messed things up for me. Sweet tea sucked I asked for coke and he charged me for both, asked for hot sauce for rice- never got it, asked for to go box- never got it, and he never stopped at my table besides when I waved him down and he looked annoyed.“
“The chicken plate and the green beans were incredible! The Ponko Palmer was also very good if you like sweet drinks. I also appreciated the customer service. They forgot part of my order, but made it right when I came back and inquired. So glad I stopped here on my trip to Atlanta.“
“WAYNE our chef was wonderful, engaging & funny. He was great at giving us a special experience. It was my moms 83rd birthday & she had never had Hibachi & now she’s hooked… she said it was one of the best birthdays special… they even sang her a special song beyond the birthday one.. It brightened her spirits & made all of our day!! Thank you!!!“
“This is a great sushi restaurants with plenty of options. The service was great, although we went there a bit late and the waitress was very nice. The prices were reasonable. Make sure you try the Negitoro roll and spicy tuna. There was no wait time on a weekday and they quickly served the food. Sake was served in small glasses although it was not as strong as hard liquor, so you might want to order sth else or get the bottles.“
“Taka Sushi is one of our favorite restaurants. We have tried at least a dozen greater metro Atlanta Japanese or Sushi restaurants and Taka Sushi is the best, especially the Sashimi and the Soba Noodles. Over the last 4+ years we have been here about 30 to 35 times. Traveling Asia and Europe there are only two we found on the same high level, one in Manhattan (Soba Totto) and one in Singapore (Shimbashi Soba, Paragon).“
“I had the large teriyaki chicken bowl & my bf had the large orange chicken bowl. The flavors were delicious, the portions were great for the price, and the chicken egg roll was really tasty. The only downside was the white rice. It was severely mushy and overcooked. Maybe next time we’ll get fried rice instead.“
“Kumo has consistently been my favorite restaurant in all of Cobb County. The food is next to none along with their phenomenal service. Their food is always fresh and exploding with flavor whether you get hibachi or sushi. Even throughout the pandemic they have always had reasonable prices and generous portions. This is MUST have food if you're in the area.“
“Stopped in just before a Shen Yuen performance...decided 5o stop in because it looked so inviting, vivacious colorw that pop and a cleanliness you can see and feel from outside the eatery. As we ordered, the cashier was suoer helpful with menu options and offered us ice cream samples which were to die for[a purple, caramel tasting icecream] then in no time at all we were being served our meals at our tables and it was exhibit worthy.... live the staff's friendliness, the taste of authentic raw sushi ? ? and the vibe that you feel within the Sukoshi house.“
“My Love and I visited this restaurant on a whim after seeing Jurassic Park. Wonderful decision! While always a sushi lover, never tried a hand roll. Had the spicy tuna one...superb! Also had Wonton soup and split the Hawaiian sushi roll ( after the waitress recommended. She was Great btw!). Will be going back! We've found a jewel!“
“I went after a work meeting as I needed to travel the next day back home and I was told by my hotel staff to come visit and that It was a great experience. I went with leggings and gym shoes on and I was told to turn away and change them come back. I didn't have a problem with that but it seemed that they either weren't use to a person going to this place solo or maybe something else. With me being a woman or color, it was important for me to have a great experience and to be treated well so I came back and had a good experience. The food was great and I loved the presentation. The restaurant was very cold in my opinion which was probably the only issue I had. Next time I would sit in the patio section which seemed really nice.“
“Not only is Sakura the best sushi in town - it's the best sushi I've ever had. I've been eating at Sakura for 15+ years. It always satisfies. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I no longer live in East Cobb, but Sakura is always my first stop when I'm in town visiting. It is very reasonably priced for the quality. Favorite rolls: Dynamite, Twister, Hurricane, Princess Fiona, and a simple tuna maki. Sakura never disappoints“
“We spontaneously decided to try this place late at night and were very pleased with the service, ambience, and food of this restaurant. There's a ton of option for Japanese & Chinese food. They have a large variety of sushi options. We also got dumplings and ramen. They're open until late at night. They have live Jazz on Friday nights. I Highly recommend trying them out! We will be coming back for more!!“
“This place was absolutely amazing! Our server was super nice and checked on us frequently. The food is ultra fresh and tasted divine. The next time we come out we will have to bring the kiddos and experience the hibachi part. Worth every penny we spent on it.“
“The food is Amazing. I love the hours and glad that we finally have a spot besides waffle house for late night eats that’s actually 5 star food! Best egg rolls best crab ragoon best hot and sour. I’ve just been blown away you guys have a lot of best things I’ve had who knew so glad I stumbled in on a whim I will be back!“
“Really good customer service, and for inexpensive food court food, this is shockingly good. The noodles in particular are unusual but addictive. They have rather good customer service too; you see them really making an effort when the line gets long to make sure everyone's fairly served. The atmosphere is never going to impress - it's in a food court. This is a place where I'll normally eat a few times per visit to the city.Vegetarian options: I don't eat meat, and they usually have several rolls, noodles, and other things I'll like.“
“I have never dined in the restaurant or went to the buffet so I can't judge that part. However the customer service and food has always been good. My favorites are the sweet potato tempura, shrimp tempura and the spicy crab meat salad.“
“We were craving for sushi and decided to try this well-established restaurant that has been around for 30+ years. It was a very cute place tucked behind a shopping plaza. For appetizers we got the shrimp teriyaki and the Kara-Age chicken, which was the perfect starter while we waited for our entrees. For entrees we got the salmon sashimi, spicy tuna roll, caterpillar roll and the sukiyaki dinner. The sukiyaki dinner came with salad, miso soup and a bowl of rice. The salmon sashimi was extremely fresh and melted in my mouth. The servings were very generous and we did not leave hungry. The owner/staff were very nice and treated us like family.“
