Stopped by Highlands Tavern recently for dinner. It is in the building previously occupied by Twisted Taco, located directly adjacent to a usually very busy Taco Mac. It is a good building, nice large bar area, lots of booths, and a covered outdoor patio up top.The menu selection seemed a little scattered, sort of a southwest meets asian infusion. Decent food and prices. Still has the decor from Twisted Taco.Service was exceptional but loud music from the 90s and a loud mouth cursing at the bar all night was enough to make this a one time visit.
Just moved to the area, decided to try this place when I saw the Grand Opening banner on the front.Fun decor and that is about as good as it got.Bruce, our waiter was friendly and attentive. As the place was empty there no other demands on him, but he took good care of us.I ordered shrimp fajitas. The shrimp was overcooked, chewy and unseasoned.
