We went on Sunday so they open at 1pm...we traveled from Waikiki as that is where we are vacationing, but we wanted to support a Black owned business while we were in Oahu. ????...it did not disappoint. The only thing I would change is I wish the mac-n-cheese was baked with a crispy top...but it was decent.The service was awesome, the food was amazing and we had a variety of differe t dishes. I bill was about $160 US not including tip, we was a party of 4. We left stuffed and had take away boxes...lol! We ordered too much food...as they say...our eyes bigger than our stomach. It's definitely a must!!Kid-friendliness: My son loved the food...hush puppies, fries, pork chop ?

I really wanted to like this place but it fell short in a few places. I liked the fried okra and catfish. The fried chicken was over cooked, it's like the grease was too hot, old, or left it in the fryer too long. And, the only thing I could taste in the macaroni and cheese was pepper. I would probably go back to give it another chance on the mac and for the okra and fish. Order via QR code. Bring cash if you don't want to leave a tip before your meal. The staff was friendly so no issue there.

My pick up order was a bit late which is fine but they forgot part of our order and I didn’t notice till I got home. I guess I should have double checked but they were already late bringing it out and I would think they’d check. Portions were enough but not for the price.

Came in for a take out lunch. I decided on the Thursday special which was gumbo for $15. The gumbo was tasty and had a decent amount of chicken and sausage in it. There are a few other entrees that I would like to try out like their shrimp etoufee. Priced at $26 it's a little too much for lunch. I might come back for dinner.
Woman at front started off being rude by abruptly saying stay behind the table than shoving a menu towards me like she didn't just notice me reading the one on the table she demanded I stay behind. I got chicken, green beans and red beans and rice. Chicken was good just a bit on the salty side I guess to make up for the bland canned grean beans. The reds beans and rice was just okay I didn't finish them all due to a spice they used that wasn't hitting my palette in the way I felt it should. Sweet potato pie was okay enough. Very unfamiliar with this type of soul food just didn't feed my soul perhaps I got there an hour before they were closing and I got the food leftover from earlier that day. I don't know if I will return very disappointed.

Hostess in the front is very welcoming and took the time to let me sample sides and provide a menu breakdown their sides are vegetarian. I ordered the fish/chicken plate with yams and okra followed by a side of red beans and rice and mac and cheese and hush puppies. The fish was seasoned perfectly fresh hot and crispy the sides weren’t lacking flavor I enjoyed the thickness of the filets they aren’t skimpy i paid about $44.43 and i have to say i enjoyed everything. The chicken could have been juicer but it wasnt dry to the point i didnt finish it.I will return in the future they are worth the price of admission.

Sad to say with limited food selections at Pearl Harbor, this place has really gone down hill. The $15 lunch plates are the size on a mini plate lunch. Had the fried catfish. The fish was great, but it was plopped over the hush puppies and Mac & cheese. Had cheese on the fish & a lot of the fish seasoning was on the hush puppies, made them taste like salt. Plus that put a scoop of tartar sauce that also got on the hush puppies. It not what I remember and sad to say I'll never eat there again.

I was told there's no more wings because there's a shortage on wings on the island. Meanwhile is wings and all the supermarkets and there's a shortage on wings you guys gotta come up with a better excuse than that you guys was my favorite place that I would drive to to come get food after today, not anymore
