One of the absolute best tonkatsu spots I've ever been. We went for lunch at noon on a Sunday and only had to wait around 30min for a table. I ordered the ebi and pork filet combo and it came out really quickly. The ebi was super flavorful, and the pork was supremely tender. Both were fried perfectly golden brown. The katsu sauce is a little on the sweet side, but definitely good. I loved the garlic miso dressing so much I bought a bottle to take home. I will absolutely be coming here again!

Koromo,This is the second time you’ve done this. First time was just three weeks ago. You need to provide utensils and napkins with your takeout orders! I ordered through DoorDash and the app does not have a utensils and napkins option for your restaurant. For the price I pay, you should automatically add napkins and utensils for ALL takeout orders! Don’t assume everyone is ordering from home. A lot order from work for lunch and I cannot eat your curry because I do not have a spoon at work. Lastly, the food was good as usual but your rice sucked today.*Updated my review because the owner/manager replied promptly with an explanation and apology which I greatly respect and appreciate.

This is the first thing we ate after our flight landed. Only 10 minutes from the airport.Oh my goodness we ordered the loin and filet tonkatsu. They were crispy on the outside and the meat was juicy and tender. My kid ordered the large size loin and HE ATE IT ALL. I was surprised because he isn’t a big eater. It was that good! The miso soup was not salty and the banchan…. The pickled garlic scape, danmuji muchim &pickled cabbage… My Korean grandmother would approve. This place was so much better than the famous place in Honolulu that I had visited for katsu. We are definitely coming back to this place during our trip!

It’s okay for Hawaii standards, definitely does not taste like Japanese Kushi

Food is decent but the customer service is terrible. The staff messed up our order and they would not give us a refund for the item that they missed! We called multiple times with no answer and when they did answer they wanted us to make the 25 min drive back to pick up the item. I would not recommend this place to any family member or friend! Stay away

Very disappointing experience! Ran out of several items by 2. Not very flexible with substitution. My kids waited over 30 after the rest of us got our dishes. While other tables received their orders. With no apologies just "oh I don't know what happened" No music...door open cigarette smell from outside coming into restaurant.

Hands down the best katsu in town!! Conveniently located at pearl ridge in the same parking lot of Gen BBQ. It's able to be seen straight from the parking lot and entrance is as soon as you walk into the mall. Next to Hot Topic (I can't believe that store is still open). The restaurant is very small so be sure to go when the mall isnt pumping. Just a few tables maybe 10 or so. My GF and I both had the same thing because it just sounded so delish just while she said it. So glad I did because it was ono! We had the ebi cry and pork loin katsu. This was both the juiciest crunch amazing katsu I've ever eaten. I'm usually not a "cabbage" eater I just see it as filler on your plate but their dressing was to die for. I coulda drank it. The curry chefs kiss and don't forget to add cheese! The service was also great. I forgot her name but she was very sweet and attentive! Can't wait to go back!

I've been here a while ago for lunch and enjoyed it then so when I was invited for a girls lunch I was excited to try their kushi katsu since they didn't have this before. I was late for lunch so I had my friend order me the Kushi katsu lunch set 6 with Negima, mochi, onion, arabiki, nasu, chikuwa. The food had come just before I arrived. The kushi katsu was really good! I like that the batter was on the thicker side. Also, they give unlimited cabbage which is nice. Not sure if they give unlimited rice or miso soup like the other katsu place. My favorite kushi katsus were mochi and arabiki. It comes with a sauce that was really good. Servers are really attentive and we even were able to split the bill evenly between 4 of us. The place was really busy and I think most tables were taken. Surprisingly for how busy it was, it seemed to be more quiet than what I would've thought. Will be back when I'm in the area.

I went into Kuromo to order take out and told the waitress i wanted curry, so she made some suggestions which i followed. I ordered two bentos because every item on their take out menu is labeled as a bento. When i got home, there was no curry in my order. I tried calling 3 times and even left a message as instructed on their voicemail but never got a call back. I went in the next day to explain what happened and was met with a resistant manager who was more concerned about proving her point rather than righting what i feel was a wrong. She checked my receipt and said the bentos i ordered did not have curry included, which was surprising since i paid almost $80 for 2 bentos with no curry and a side order of fried oysters. She told me the mistake was mine because i should have not told the waitress i wanted a bento and that i wanted curry. When i pointed out that everything on their take out menu is labeled as bento, she essentially dismissed me. When i told her that i called 3 times and left a voicemail but was never contacted back, she just said they don't ever check the voicemail because they don't have time. At that point i decided to not spend my money at a place where a manager has more concern about proving that her restaurant's confusing menu was my problem. Also, don't waste your time trying to call to place a take out order because they'll be too busy to answer the phone or check their voicemail per their manager, so i guess they don't care about good customer service. Of note, things worked out for the better because i ate at Diem 99 cafe at the food court in Pearlride and it was better than the curry at Kuromo anyway. The owner of Kuromo did reach out to me to try to rectify this situation and told me to email him but the email he gave is coming up as an error. Maybe he'll try to reach out to me again with a functional email to discuss this issue i had at his restaurant.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. They actually take reservations which is cool but you need to call them to make them.Tonkatsu was great and everything you'd expect. My wife got the pork filet katsu and I got the pork loin katsu. We actually liked the pork loin better! It was thicker and meatier so taste was more balanced with the crunch outside.Service was good and the restaurant looked clean inside. I'd definitely come here again for my katsu fix!

If you are meat eater & like fried food then you more likely enjoy this place. I personally think it’s not that tasty & bit over fried compared most of katsu curry I’ve tried. But some of us do really like the Sakura pork & unlimited cabbage salad.

My favorite katsu on the island. I really enjoy the pork and chicken. The combo is my go to meal. The all you can eat shredded cabbage is a nice touch that reminds me of the meals I have had in Japan. You crush your own sesame seeds to mix into the katsu sauce. You can pick a mild sauce or a tangy one. I prefer the tangy and add in the mustard they offer on the side as well. Dude order of kushi katsu was worth getting as well if you have the room. The combo is a lot of food. I highly recommend Koromo and go often!

Went here Halloween night. It was 7pm and luckily, found parking and there was a table ready for us. My fav is the Chicken Katsu (so tender) & my husband got the Kaki Fry (oyster) Pork Loin (fattier one) Katsu. Enjoyed our meals with cold beer, miso soup & kimchi (takuan is the best). All you can eat shredded cabbage is nice... feel healthier filling up on that vs. the rice. Everything is always so good.Took home the 1pc chicken katsu & still was perfect the next day after reheating in toaster oven.We like it here. Clean, good service, and food is consistent (katsu perfectly fried). We'll be back.
