Been here multiple times, my go-to for some sushi (better quality compared to Genkis IMO)... Price is a bit high, but again quality and portions are larger... Too bad the conveyor belt doesn't work, it would feel more lively to dine in... Overall though, food and service are excellent.

Came here for lunch on a Thursday and didn’t expect too much but service was super friendly and portions are bigger and better than Genki across the street. We’ll be back!

- [ ] Arrived at 12:12pm- [ ] Did not get seated til 12:21- [ ] Did not make eye contact or acknowledge us when we first entered for the first 9 mins.- [ ] Half the restaurant was empty when we arrived- [ ] Saw lighter skinned people get seated almost immediately or within minutes.- [ ] Every time we tried to order something, they would walk away looking rushed as soon as we ordered one thing…- [ ] And I observed how they were calm and paid more attention and visits to other customers that were seated after us.- [ ] We were barely visited by the waiter, we had to raise our hand more often to get their attention.- [ ] Forgot our orders, had to be reminded at least 3 times for various items- [ ] After coming here for over 5+ years growing up, I am disgusted by how we were treated today and am very discouraged to come back.- [ ] Giving this 3 stars because the portions of food and the deliciousness *almost* makes up for the horrible customer service.- [ ] (I am usually not one to post a negative review… but I felt so passionate about sharing my experience that I wrote it and needed to post it on the same day.)

The fish is fresh. You can tell the difference between here and Genki. Food is GOOOOD!! The only thing is it's small and the wait can sometimes be a while but the food is worth it.

This place is a shell of itself from years past. We went at 630pm on a beautiful Saturday evening and there was no wait for a booth. The higher prices were to be expected, but the food quality has gone way down. It seemed like nothing used sushi rice, they didn't use ikura on anything that has ikura in the pictures, the components in the dons were really basic and made for a bland slog instead of good grinds.

This place was a huge let down. We sat down and the server said the food on the belt was “kinda fresh”. Well, it was not and nearly every dish on the belt circled through the entire time we were there. I asked if they were putting anymore food out and was told they don’t put fresh food out during slow times (it was 1:00pm). I can understand the goal of selling every dish you put out, but you are charging top dollar for old food. Very high prices for sushi that has been spinning around for at least 45 minutes, probably longer.

Have to say we were disappointed. The restaurant is not like it used to be. We stopped in Hawaii for a few nights and looked forward to visiting one of our favorite restaurants. We got there and could tell things were different. We realize they had manpower problems but we sat down and the conveyor wasn’t even working. Employees took our orders but it wasn’t the same as checking out suggest plates as they passed by. I always picked new items off the belt because they looked great but now we had to pick want we wanted and order. We didn’t enjoy it as much. I’m sure they lost sales too from people not being able to try new and tasty looking plates.

[FOOD: 2] The food was mediocre, there was nothing special about it. There just seemed to be something missing. Plus the price doesn't really match the quality and quantity. Honestly I would not go out of my way to eat here.[SERVICE: 4] I guess we lucked out whereas the service was outstanding for us. The servers were friendly and attentive, they stopped by several times to make sure everything was alright and if we wanted to order anything else.[AMBIANCE: 2] This restaurant has definitely seen better days. Before it would be packed with people waiting outside to get a seat. Gone is the kaiten style sushi (conveyor belt) and chefs preparing sushi in the middle. It seems so gloomy inside of the restaurant now. Everything is ordered now. They give you wasabi in plastic cups.

When we went the conveyor belts were not used. And instead of getting a cheap $2 per plate or $1.50 per plate the cheapest plate was $6.95 for two of us we spent $40 for three items. I was not impressed with the taste for quality of the food.
