“Yummy birria tacos! There's never a line and service is fast. Hellfire was FIRE!!! Too spicy for me and I consider my spice tolerance pretty high. The tacos are always fresh & flavorful nonetheless. Reasonably priced at $12 for 3 tacos.“

“I love moes, it’s probably the best food I’ve had in a while. I can eat here any day, because of my significant addiction. Service is awesome, with a greeting “Welcome to Moes!” The presentation of food does really feel like a buffet, and I’m in love with the quesadillas! 5 stars, would definitely recommend.“

“Some of the best Mexican I’ve had on island thus far. Really small place with limited parking since it’s next to Aiea bowl but cute interior and friendly service. Margaritas were good, a little sweet. Carnitas plate was large and very fresh. Same with birria tacos.“

“Wanted to support the local food trucks and glad we did....I had the bean chimichanga and it was big! Filled with beans and cheese...but you can definitely get meat of your choice. My friend had the steak street tacos and said they were delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They definitely showed Aloha!We passed by this food truck a few times and glad we stopped to have a bite. If you are wanting Mexican food, definitely give it a try!“

“TLDR: 10/10 recommend the Carne Asada burrito and Carne Asada Quesadilla.Wanted to wait until I was able to visit a few times before making a review. But this place has some of the best burritos in town. 10/10 would recommend if visiting from the west coast and wanting that authentic style burritos. Also they have great homemade salsas to choose from that pair very well with each dish. Also highly recommend the quesadillas if you aren’t in the mood for a burrito.Parking: I recommend parking in the Whole Foods parking lot and walking across the street.“

“Excellent mexican restaurant! We stepped in for an early supper and it was quiet, by the time we got our meals the place was hopping. Ordered an array of different tacos and all were excellent, especially the carne asada tacos. The best I've ever had! The food being served to other patrons also looked and smelled fantastic. Staff was friendly. By far the best meal we have had on the Island. Excellent!“

“Tlacuaches 808 is an amazing take-out restaurant hidden away in the back of Eaton Square! We ordered carne asada salad and tacos, and both were outstanding. We didn't expect to find good Mexican food in Waikiki, and were pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, we only found it in our last night in Honolulu, but had we found it earlier, we would have eaten there every evening. The portions were large, and the prices the most reasonable that anywhere we found in Waikiki. We had as salad and tacos, both with Carne Asada, and both were amazing. The salsas were also excellent. It closes early, so get there early. It was also closed on Wednesdays. There are common tables that you can eat at, it was pouring rain so we just took it back to our hotel.“

“Absolutely the best Mexican food on the island. I am born and raised in Cali and this place rivals some of those flavors I grew up with. The Carne Asada is incredible. The Baja Fish is a must get. My daughter loved the Keiki Supreme tacos.Atmosphere is super fun, comfortable and clean. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Get there early because it can get very busy. You cannot go wrong with any order here. The hand pressed tortillas are a must. Hurry, go!“

The two of us ordered the birria taco, short rib plate, and acai smoothies. I do not go elsewhere (except for when I am on the mainland, but I'd also say El Mariachi is not only the best on Oahu, but also better than anything you can find in Merced or Madera counties in California. “I love this place! i have been here a few times before writing my review and i can safely say that i have had great service consistently every single time! i have been here with just a party for two and also have celebrated a family members birthday here, they are accommodating to both large and small parties. they have great servers and great food. i love the ambiance of the outdoor/indoor seating. The decor is well executed and best of all, its reasonably priced. I highly recommend reservations but you can also just walk in. if its the weekend though, it might be a long wait.“

“This place is good. It gets busy. Get in before the rush. High food traffic for military. Want some food come and get it. These people put love and their souls into cooking and making every bite role your eyes. They have a variety of drinks and a good amount of room. But once the boots show up for lunch good luck getting a table. I have eaten there like 5 times if not more… enjoy the food environment and the music.“

“As someone who lived in SD for a few years I'm always looking for good Mexican. This place has amazing birria tacos that are tasty, filled with meat, and super fresh. I've come on random days and sometimes they still have these even if it's not the normal birria days. The staff are super nice and the location is right off the road so you can pull in park, order, and enjoy the food. They also have a bench or two if you want to sit there and eat, not a bad setting or location. There's also an interesting pond near by as well. Great food, good taco truck option, nice convenient location if you live in the area or driving through for work!“

“The team gives a great effort. The taste is as good as it gets outside Mexico for some tacos and quesadillas. They could put more meat in the tacos and double the tortilla if they are charging $5 a taco. The quesadilla was well filled. Pretty quick service. Salsa is a spicy. “Great local restaurant with excellent service. Someone recommended it so we decided to head out to the windward side. Chips and salsa came out first. The salsa was nice and chunky and you could tell was homemade. I ordered the Fajitas Durango (steak) and my wife ordered the Fajita Burrito (carnitas). Both fajitas were well seasoned. We asked for their homemade habanero sauce which was well balanced. Plates was wiped clean...no room to try the fried ice cream. Will have to go back for that.“

“Where to begin…I’m from Northern California and lived in SoCal for 10yrs. Been searching for something close since I’ve been on Oahu (5yrs). And finally, I have found it! Part of me wants to give it a bad review so I can have this gem to myself. But the people are too kind and Oahu needs this place!! From the service, to the chips and salsa, Cali burrito, Horchata and chocolate flan. Everything was presented and created with alpha. Even the vibrant paint and Frida paintings. “It was a nice day to eat outside on the pier. There was a nice breeze and the faint scent of the different cultural food variations cooking. I came after 4:30 on a Friday and not too many people were present. I ordered the Barbacoa Cachete Burrito. The burrito was huge!! It was filled with rice, beans and beef. It had salsa, but I wish it had just a bit more. The rice was nice and fluffy like Spanish rice should be. This burrito will need to be split even for the super hungry or half of it saved for another meal. Definitely coming back here. I am more than satisfied. I am ready for a nap.“
